24 Tournament

The Patriarch Hall that usually empty are full today. All three patriarchs are sitting at their respectful chairs at the center of the room, facing the doors. There are four other chairs at each of their side, filled with eight masters of the Wing Sect.

In the middle of the three are an extremely old man. Despite of his age, he still looks vigorous and wise beyond measure. This person is none other than the chief patriarchs, which has not been seen in this world for years.

There even has been a lot of rumor saying that he has died and the news has been hidden by the sect. Because the sect afraid they lose their status of having three Soul Core cultivators. The truth is, the sect never lies about it. The chief patriarch is staying at the heaven all this time, cultivating there and only get back home when an important event come up.

The Second Patriarch at his left side is looking even more older than him. Tall and skinny, his white beard is just as long making him look even older. He also spends most of his time at the heaven, but come back occasionally to help Patriarch Blue keeping order here.

The Tall Patriarch is what everyone called him. Along with the Chief Patriarch and Patriarch Blue, their presence together is rare here in this world. In has been as long as they are called by their real names, so that their real name is forgotten as most disciples never heard of it.

They are only called like that also only from the people in front of them. Behind them all the disciples called them as the Old Patriarch, Skinny Patriarchs and well Patriarch Blue. Nobody dare to give him bad nickname since he is basically live here. Badmouthing someone that has a Demigod ability is not a wise thing.

"The tournament surely will happen here, they are discussing the details now. When everything done, they will send their envoys here to disclose the information to us. We have approximately a year from now to prepare for everything." The Chief Patriarch start their meeting.

This part of information is already known beforehand. Patriarch Blue already inform them, though he cannot be sure if it a sure thing or not. After the arrival of two older patriarchs most of the masters already know this is a sure thing. Otherwise it is impossible for both of them to get here.

This tournament is a big deal for all the sect, for the prize and pride are at stake here. Other thing that concern them however is the arrival of the Gods to this world. There is a rule in the heaven that prohibit their direct interference at this world.

A tournament between sects is the rare occasion where they can be allowed to travel here. To be able to meet Gods face to face is a rare opportunity that they cannot miss. To treat them accordingly is deemed very important as well. This is the Gods that they worshipped, they have to make a good impression in front of them. In any way possible.

"How many of them will arrive, I will have to make sure everything ready." Master Lin Xu is in charge of the sect internal business. It is her responsibility to welcome them, providing accommodation and such.

"Lord Xia will certainly come, along with a few disciples perhaps." The word maybe disciple, yet everyone knew those who able to travel to heaven and earth are at least at the Soul Core Stage. So those disciples are at least at the same level with the patriarchs if not higher.

"It is still a year from now, so it is not the most urgent thing here. Our disciple's availability is what concern me the most. The tournament rule most likely are the same as last time. Can someone give me their analysis of our situation?" This time the Second Patriarch asking the question. He is not as patient as the Chief Patriarch. Even if he looks fragile his spirit is very high.

"It has been more than a hundred years since the last tournament. I only can get information from what Patriarch Blue told earlier about it." It is Master Shen Yi that answer this question. As the master that responsible for the disciple's progress, he has been briefed by Patriarch Blue beforehand.

"How about Master Li, he had been in tournament along with Patriarch Blue."

"I'm afraid Master Li is unable to join us. He is too old and has been sick for this few years." Only two people that has join the last tournament still alive till today. Master Li only at the Qi Absorption Stage of cultivation is already at the end of his life.

When Master Shen Yi mention this the room's mood turns gloomy. Everyone in the room are old. Master Shen Yi is providing them with the fact that no matter how powerful you are, you still susceptible to the time. Unless if you are a God yourself, which is the goal for every cultivator.

"As of now there is three disciples at the peak of Qi Absorption Technique. Han Fu is currently trying to breakthrough into the Soul Core might not be able to participate. You know him already, he is not a great fighter anyway." The Patriarchs nodded at the mention of Han Fu. Even the Chief Patriarch heard about him already. An alchemy genius that can help their sect a lot in the future.

"Feng Yanlei is probably the best talent we ever have in our sect. She is still so young, but already show great potential. Her experience is her biggest weakness, if not the only one. I cannot stress enough how great this girl is. Her fighting prowess is the best out of our disciple right now." Again, Feng Yanlei is not a stranger for them. In this world this kind of talent might not appear once in a hundred years.

"Yan Zuo is the last of the three or rather the first. He is combat type of cultivator, so his fighting skill is not bad. Compared to the two before him though, he is not special in anyway. This guy will struggle to breakthrough to the next level and may never made it. He still is a great addition to us in the tournament nevertheless." The report continues with other disciple that might able to make an impact in the tournament.

Sure enough, all of the disciples mentioned are in the Qi Absorption Stage. Only them can participate in it, however the tournament still give opportunity to new disciples and see their talent. That is why they divert the class into three.

Every sect has to register a balance number of disciples at the early, middle and late Qi Absorption Stage. Respectfully the sect will want their disciples that is going to participate to be at the end of it, 3rd, 6th and peak level of that stage.
