20 Inner Sect

It has been a year since Lu Yan been an inner sect disciple. One week after the test they taken the oath to become one. The sect can accept anyone to become their outer sect disciples but as an inner sect there are a lot of rules to be followed.

The rules for the outer sect are only consist of those inside the sect. For the inner sect the rules bound them everywhere, inside and outside. As for inner disciples means they are the sect representative everywhere they go.

They surely are forbidden from join another sect. Even leaving the mountain will need to be permitted. The sect has become their home and other disciples are their family. Breaking the rules will be strictly punished. From getting kicked out from the sect to getting their cultivation base crippled. Of course, sometimes those people just getting outright killed.

Some disciples can live outside the mountain at some time. Mostly those born from rich families. As they only sent to the sect to strengthen their family to begin with. However, those people still need to be permitted by the sect. Their whereabout are registered in the sect, along with their reason to leave the sect.

These disciples that live outside the sect, still bring their name. They also often give donation and doing some chores as the sect needed.

Lu Yan himself never intend to join the inner sect, however he has arrived here anyway. He moved to a much nicer home at the East Mountain. He also given the new set of books, robes and a well-crafted sword.

Other perks he has gain surely is the entrance to various buildings in the east mountain. Such as library, weapon and potion store. There is also potions ration that is much better than those of the outer sect.

His daily routine however is not change much. There are more compulsory class that he needs to take, but that is it.

Bigger house means bigger space with his neighbor. Lu Yan is never a very social person, with Xu Ling his only friend at the West Mountain. Those newcomers that come to the east mountain with him are mostly aristocrat that never acquainted with him too.

Lacking friends make Lu Yan delve into his practice more than before. He is also making conversation with his seniors more. Getting information that both surprising and amazing to him. The most shocking information is the fact that this Wing Sect along with all other sects that are said to be blessed by the heaven, is actually only a branch from the sects with the same name at the heaven itself.

Those disciples that able to ascend to the heaven along with the patriarchs will continue to become disciples at the main sect in the heaven. This fact alone brings a new understanding for Lu Yan. The heaven is not what he thought all along.

From the God he met before, all residents in the heaven are born with innate perfect Body Refinement and Qi Absorption base. That is why those gods in the heaven are stronger in particular than those live on this world.

This world is large enough for Lu Yan. In his life, most likely he will only visit a small portion of it. Yet now he is bound to leave it for another one. The world that is called as heaven. If he has to choose he rather stay on his hometown, not even go out from there.

There he knows a lot of people and trust them. Here Xiu Ling is the only person he can trust, yet know it is hard to even see her. Since before he made it to become the inner disciple Lu Yan has already made his mind. He is going to bring Xiu Ling with him.

Unlike him, Xiu Ling is very enthusiastic to become an inner disciple and ascend to the heaven in the end. Although like him she always thought there is only a very low chances she will become one. Lack in talent and resources, she only considered an inner disciple as a dream.

However, now she has the resources she needs to do that. Beside the first ration he got, Lu Yan gave the rest to Xiu Ling. He told her that he had his own supplier, that can provide him with more potent potions. Surely also he told her also to keep this as secret.

Talent can be superseded by hard work as the God has told Lu Yan before. With those materials it is only a matter of time before she can reach her dreams. Lu Yan has gone further to give her pointers, whenever he has the time. Making sure she can qualify the next exam held by the sect.

Other than that, Lu Yan has to make sure he is not develop his cultivation base to fast and aroused suspicion. He took Guo Feng and Liu Fang as his benchmark.

He always let both of them goes ahead of him. When Guo Feng reach a new breakthrough, Lu Yan will start to prepare his potions. Soon Liu Fang will follow Guo Feng and make the breakthrough. For Lu Yan that is the sign he is good to go.

While waiting for his cultivation to grow, Lu Yan also picky about the class he has to attend. Surely there are some that is mandatory, but for those optional Lu Yan has to choose those truly able to benefit him. His encounter with the God has put his wisdom beyond ordinary.

While Lu Yan having a hard time to decipher the books given to him. Those ordinary lectures given by the masters are not helping him much either.

The optional lectures are giving him better chances to actually gain something. Since those lectures usually have less attendants and so they can give more in depth materials there. Those optional lectures are not always given by the masters.

Seniors are also allowed to give lectures, for some these lectures even favored. A lot of those seniors are having the same level of cultivation base as those masters, if not higher. Famously are "The Big Three" of Yan Zuo, Han Fu and Feng Yanlei.

The three of them are even considered to be having a higher rank than all the masters. Since they are having the same cultivation base as the best master there is. The difference however, they still have chances to increase their cultivation base and eventually ascend to become a God themselves.

However, except of Han Fu none of the big three are regularly giving lectures. Feng Yanlei is very young to give lectures, beside she always is the quiet type of girl. Yan Zuo used to give lectures quite often, but then he is getting obsessed with his own cultivation. His failure to reach the Soul Core only heightened his obsession.

For Han Fu he only gives one type of lectures, alchemy. In the Wing Sect, he is indisputably the best alchemist. Even the patriarchs never tried to contest this claim. His classes are always full, no matter how much he conducts it.

Alchemy is not that popular in the Wing Sect yet understanding the basic of it is still crucial for any cultivators. The amounts of resources they can save with those basic understanding is huge. For those who interested in alchemy, Han Fu's lectures is considered more important than any mandatory lectures about it.

Lu Yan always interested in alchemy, and now he got his hands to complicated books with recipe he can't understand. He knew right away he need other people help to unravel those books. Unfortunately, the only person probably able to understand what is written in those books are getting a close door cultivation.

Han Fu are the chosen one, he is given the chance to breakthrough into the Soul Core Realm. Supposedly everyone chosen will go to mediation for years, uninterrupted. Lu Yan is almost jump in joy, when he heard Han Fu are giving out another lecture. Lecture about basic alchemy, which is exactly what he needs.
