21 Han Fu

A lot of people are wondering, why Han Fu choose to give lectures while he is expected to meditate. Some people has concluded he has given up, or that he is not ready yet to make a breakthrough.

Han Fu is always considered the weakest out of the big three. Sure, he is talented in alchemy, but who cares about alchemy. In cultivation world, your combat strength is always the most important part. Han Fu himself never shown to be fighting anyone, as he always locked himself in the alchemy workshop. Reading some books, concocting some potions or experimenting with it.

Nobody wants to bother him either. Even though they are not regard him highly, they somehow still need him. As he never bothers anyone, it is better to leave him alone. This alchemist way of live, is actually what Lu Yan has hoping for. That is why he is so eager to learn alchemy.

However, Lu Yan is not the only one, almost every new inner disciple is having the same thoughts. Han Fu has asked an assistant to make sure only the last batch disciples can attend his class. As he wants to make sure to impart the importance of alchemy to this youngster.

This place is still too crowded for Lu Yan's liking and Han Fu seems to agree with this as well. He looks disappointed and, in the end, choose to split the attendance in to two. Around half of them has been listed by his assistant and asked to come back two days from now. These batch of new disciples is a lot more than the usual number that pass the exam. More than Han Fu has expected.

Lu Yan is disappointed that his lecture gets postponed, but soon turn happy when he realizes the second meeting has fewer attendance. When the times come, Lu Yan has a feeling that all this is not totally random.

Han Fu not expecting that many disciples to attend his lecture, means he is not to update with recent news. However, people that attend his second class can be said as the all-stars, including Guo Feng, Liu Fang and Lu Yan himself.

This is not random, Han Fu certainly expecting something out of this. When a lot of people expecting him to be anxious and stressful for his breakthrough, Han Fu look extremely calm when he gives his lecture.

Han Fu is always known for his calm demeanor and his patient to explain things to other disciples. Nothing is change in this lecture, Lu Yan gain a lot of knowledge here. He also prepares some question about alchemy, that has been wrapped carefully to avoid suspicion. Yet to his wonder, his question still seems far too complicated to other except for Han Fu.

When the lecture finished Han, Fu told Lu Yan to stay. As he wants to discuss alchemy further with him, he even told his two assistants to leave them alone.

Unlike other lectures, alchemy is complicated in terms preparing the ingredients and tools. To shorten the time of the lectures, those giving it always come with assistant. These assistants are usually their personal apprentices that help with their concocting jobs daily.

"Your knowledge of alchemy is amazing. Considering your age and background, I have to say it is out of this world." Han Fu start their conversation soon after everyone else leave.

"I... err. Got lucky." Lu Yan is stuttering. He never thought this guy to be so perceptive.

"Relax. I will not ponder of how you got your knowledge. All I want to know is how much you know. I also got some books that is not written in this world. The patriarchs gave a lot of those books to me from the heaven. So, if you will it, we can have some discussion about alchemy that probably will enlighten both of us." Han Fu is calm as ever as he is saying this.

For Lu Yan this is a rare opportunity, but he still has to be very careful. This guy in front of him is certainly very clever. While he looks so straight and just, Lu Yan know his secret is too dangerous to be leaked. So, he is yet to give an answer to Han Fu suggestions.

"There will be another class next week. Until then I will have a close meditation, let just meet up after the class next week. I do believe we can benefit each other, please consider my suggestion until then. Trust me I will not tell others about whatever secret you have." Han Fu can sense Lu Yan doubt and very considerate about it.

With his power and authority Han Fu can force the secret out of Lu Yan if he wants to. However, from all the information Lu Yan can gather about Han Fu is that he will never do such thing. He maybe a socially awkward person, but he is also known to be just and fair. He hates people who cheat and abuse their power, so he will not do such thing.

With this information Lu Yan has decided to learn as much as he can about alchemy from Han Fu, that will mean he has to open about everything. Yet he also knows that the books he has right now is only limited to his level of cultivation.

Lu Yan can only wonder what kind of information held in the next bags given by Blank Sapphire. Which he will be able to open in a short time. In this on week where he looking information about Han Fu, another information shows up. Guo Feng is going into a secluded meditation, given his cultivation base at which is at the very peak of Body Refining Technique. This can only mean he is ready to make a breakthrough into the Qi Absorption Technique.

Han Fu never withhold any information, nor he calculate which side benefit more in their discussion. Lu Yan soon realize he benefit more from it more than Han Fu. Han Fu knowledge about alchemy is far beyond him and he know very well how to explain it.

They discuss till late at night and despite his regret Lu Yan know he has to go home by now. Tomorrow morning, he still has a mandatory class which he has skip too much. His status as new disciple makes him vulnerable to punishment and even can get kicked out

"Any last question you wish to ask? I will soon go into secluded meditation as well and cannot get disturbed. It will be hard for us to have this kind of conversation in the future. Of course, until you follow me to the other side." Another calm remark from Han Fu reminded Lu Yan. Everyone believe Han Fu will fail to make it into the Soul Core realm, but this guy in front of him is extremely calm and confident.

"What make you so confident that you can reach the next realm. A lot of people have failed and I am sorry to say this, but almost everyone I met so sure you will fail as well." Lu Yan words might offend a lot of people especially those more senior than him, however his conversation with Han Fu today has make him comfortable to speak freely with him.

Han Fu confidence is something that has been discussed a lot by other disciples. Liu Fang once said Han Fu is the closest disciple to the patriarchs. He discussed with them often, which means he know some heavenly secret that other people do not know. Asking this question Lu Yan is about to unravel some of it.
