26 Fight Against Magic

Yan family sure have a firm influence in this country, even inside the sect they still have their own followers. And that Yan Rui certainly is a piece of…. something, certainly not a good thing. Just when Lu Yan about to reach the Qi Absorption Stage, his goons had to disturb him.

"This is bothersome, I really should not let him live before." That is all Lu Yan can think about. Both of his attackers are at the early Qi Absorption Stage. There is nothing Lu Yan can do to defeat them.

The other one is the quite type, he is burly with hair all over his body and head. Those hair cover almost his huge body, making him look like a huge mastiff.

In short both of them are not someone you hope going to have an important role based on their appearance, let alone the main character. No wonder they became goons from a loser like Yan Rui. They never actually say who paid them, but somehow both parties knew about it already.

Lu Yan not sure if they going to kill him or just beating him. He just knows this time he had to fight … again.

From what he said, the "beat me up" face does not look like he is eager to fight. So, Lu Yan think he has to aim for the burly man for one on one fight. If the slim guy too lazy to join the fight and hoping his friend will easily defeat Lu Yan then he has the chance.

The burly man muscles start to bulking even more, than his whole body starts to get blurry. Lu Yan swords arrived at an empty spot as his opponent disappear and suddenly arrived at his side. Lu Yan barely manage to dodge his huge fist by hurdling backwards.

This burly man surely moves shockingly fast, Lu Yan realize immediately it is a he is using magic to enhance his physical strength. Lu Yan is at the peak of Body Refinement and with the technique from the God he met, his physical strength and speed are above most of other humans. Those without any magical enhancement surely.

Lu Yan just steadied himself when he catches a glimpse of another movement, this time from the bald guy. He doesn't his body, only his hands waving in the air. Magical incantation. Lu Yan cannot use any magic yet, but he seen enough to know what going on.

There is no way he knows what kind of magic used, but at least Lu Yan know he has to move right away. Relying on his instincts and reflexes Lu Yan quickly left where he was standing. He left just at time, a second late he will be blasted by a lightning from the sky.

Lu Yan escape path has been cut out by the burly man. Lu Yan has no way to dodge this time and try to block his iron glove with his sword. His sword is simply not strong enough, as it bent straight away. At least though it able to dampened the first impact to his chest. This attack cost Lu Yan a mouthful of blood, still a cheap price for him.

His two attackers certainly not pleased, they want to finish their job quickly and takes the reward right away. The bald guy starts his incantation again, this time it seems bigger and more complicated than before.

The sky soon grows dark and rain starts pouring. Lu Yan surprised at how the weather can change so quickly, but more surprise upon looking at both of his attacker's reaction. They were as surprised as he is, to the extent of the bald guy stopped his incantation. They were not responsible for this weather to change.

So, who is it?

While their mind racing a voice heard from afar.

"Attack the bald guy. Now!"

Lu Yan heard the voice and his mood lifted, he finally sees a chance. He soon charges to the bald guy, not wasting this opportunity. The bald guy starts to cast his magic again in panic. He almost finished his casting, when he realizes Lu Yan is closer to him than he thought he is.

He immediately stopped his casting and move his body away, again not fast enough. Lu Yan's sword slightly cut his thigh, if not because it was bent before it will cut through it. The bald guy is definitely not having a good physical ability nor his physical enhancement magic stellar. Lu Yan had observed that both of his attackers are not that good in combat. It just that their cultivation base is far higher than he is, Lu Yan cannot fight them before.

"That guy is a lightning magic user, with this rain he won't be able to cast his magic as long as you close him in." It is the same voice as before.

"It doesn't mean I cannot use another type of magic." The bald guy angrily making an incantation, while running away.

This makes the water below Lu Yan start freezing. But just as it always does, he is not fast enough. The ice is still too thin for Lu Yan freaking strength, it broke right away. Sensing the danger, he draws his sword to meet with Lu Yan's. His technique is poor, with only one move his sword is thrown away by Lu Yan. A kick followed soon after, earning Lu Yan more than a mouthful of blood as a payback.

"Yes, you can, but it is not strong nor fast enough. You can only cast lightning magic properly, as you often used it. That ice magic before is a complete mess."

The same voice heard once again, this time the speaker shown himself. The three of them immediately recognize him. Lu Yan's helper is none other than Han Fu.
