3 Divine Wing Sect

It needs a week to arrive at the Divine Mountains. Sure, they sleep at nights but it not in an inn anymore, there is no other house along the way here. The mountain looks so huge when they got up close but somehow unseen from afar.

The mountains itself consist of three mountains, the biggest one in the middle-called Sky Pillar Mountain and two others that encircled it called West and East Wing mountain. These two mountains shaped half a circle, almost becoming one with each other and form a complete circle. Making it impossible to look at the Sky Pillar Mountain foot. For this particular mountain there is also fog along the way making hard to see if you are not really close. The top of it can't be seen either since it is beyond the cloud. So even you are looking at it up close all you can see is a pillar coming out from the other two mountains.

This week during his journey Lu Yan try to learn as much as he can about the Wing Sect and cultivation world as a whole. He has heard about Beast Sect often before, but even that information is not reliable and changes every time he hears it. Wing Sect he hardly ever heard about other than some slander, which most likely untrue.

When they join the sect later on, they will be accepted as an outer sect member. In which they will receive limited resources and technique over this course. If they can show certain talent and improvement will they be initiated as an inner sect member. Only by then will they be able to receive more resources to make it possible for them to breakthrough from Body Refining Technique into Qi Absorption Technique. Which is the goal of every cultivator ever, since by then you are able to actually use magic.

While the sect limit resources given to their outer sect member, their obligation to the sect is also limited. They can at any time leave the sect and come back later to continue their lesson. Many soldiers and guards in the kingdom do it like that. Only those truly interested in the cultivation world and wish to ascend to the heaven will pursue it further to become an inner sect member. Which Lu Yan have not interested in.

His goal is simple, to get into the highest Body Refining Technique possible for him. After that he can come back to his hometown and leave peacefully ever after. Looking for a beautiful girl to marry, some work to put food at the table. Just live a life without bullies around him. Simple life. Simple dream, halfway done by the time he accepted at the sect.

Out of the three disciples pick them up, only Cao Fan are an inner sect member. He is supposed to be at the 9th level of Body Refining Technique, which is at the very top of it. The other two only at the 5th level respectively. All three however come at the sect at the same time and both are already aiming for the inner sect spot and hope to secure it this year.

Cao Fan himself is a talented one, highly valued by the sect. To be this young and already able to reach the 9th level is amazing. To be the 1st level means you have to be able to refine your body with qi for more than ten percent part of it. More than twenty percent for level all the way to ninety percent for level nine. Cao Fan is on 100% of it, means he already at the very peak of Body Refining Technique.

Cao Fan has wait for his breakthrough to the Qi Absorption Technique, to refine his Body Refining Technique once more. Since it is said at first your breathing technique is still flawed. So, the first parts of your body that being refined is actually the weakest since your technique is imperfect. Once you perfected your technique you have to refine your body all over again using the perfect technique. Of course, it is not mandatory, for some people they just screw it off and ascend to the next technique. However, it is said imperfect technique will make it hard for you to progress further. So, for someone aim to achieve as high Technique as possible they better perfected their foundation first.

Cao Fan has bragged along the way, that to perfected his Body Refining Technique the patriarch of the Wing Sect has given him a training device brought from the heaven himself. Yes, the patriarch of these big sects that approved by the heaven are able to go to heaven back and forth. This thing can only be achieved once your breakthrough further from the Qi Absorption Technique into the Soul Core Technique or Realm as it is called by now.

The Qi Absorption means you are able to absorb Qi from heaven and earth to further utilize it to control energy around you. This energy can be casted into spells for attacking opponents, buffing yourself or even cursed someone. The applications are unlimited. Though it is nothing compared to the Soul Core one.

To achieve this realm, you have to build your own Qi Core inside your body, this of course can only be achieved once you master the absorption technique. After you are able to build a Qi Core it will merge with your soul at that point, thus the name Soul Core. With this core you don't need to absorb Qi from the outside world to be able to perform some magic. Not only that at this point your senses will also increase exponentially since your soul are strengthened.

As far as Lu Yan know only old geezers that spend most of their youth meditating and practicing cultivation can achieve this realm. To become a demi god entity that able to cross heaven and earth, these people hardly ever meddle in worldly affairs anymore. When they did, they will be able to shock an entire nation by themselves. According to Cao Fan said the Wing Sect currently have three patriarchs at this level. Not to mention there is three other disciples that already at the peak of Qi Absorption Technique, which can build their own Soul Core anytime soon.

Beast Sect patriarchs surely at this level as well, since to be called approved by the heaven a sect should have at least one person that able to go there. Lu Yan not sure how many of them though. From what he heard at his hometown before, there are dozens of people at this realm in the Beast Sect. A claim that Lu Yan called as bluff long time ago. From Cao Fan he heard that Beast Sect only have two Soul Core Realm patriarchs and both of them are nearly die of old age anyway. Beside there is only one disciple is close enough to ascend through the heaven. Of course, this claim can't be trusted a hundred percent anyway considering the enmity between the two sects are.

In the end Cao Fan is wearing a cloak that is said brought back to from the heaven by one of the Wing Sect patriarchs. The cloak is look like a simple one, but is actually extremely heavy that nobody else except for Cao Fan can lift it. The candidates all try to lift it, none are succeeded. Of course, the two escorts are not accompanying them anymore, the might be able to do it since they look very strong. What impressive are Cao Fan wear it all day long and move like he just wear a common cape. While it is impressive, Lu Yan has no intention to ever wear it like others candidates said they are.

"Good job to the patriarchs. From all the treasures said to be in heaven, you have to brought back a boulder back into earth." For now, it's the only thing Lu Yan can be think of.

When finally arrive at the Divine Mountain they greeted by a couple disciples. A boy and a girl, which lift up Lu Yan mood a little bit, well at least there is girl in the sect. They arrive at the South end of the West Wing mountain and is told to be spend most of their time there. As there are only inner sect member are allowed to get into the Sky Pillar Mountain.

Between both wings and the Pillar Mountain there is a dangerous area called the Demonic Valley. As the name said this is actually places of some demonic beasts, that are actually let to be there by the sect. These beasts are there for the disciples to practice some fighting techniques. Some of these beasts are actually catch from around the world and putted there, to give more sparring variations. However, the West Wing are protected with protective formation spells, that prevented those beasts to climb and a disciple to fall.

As when they arrive the sky already dark, they are shown to their dorm at once. There are nice little cottages at the mountain, where they are going to live. Everyone get one cottage, which is pretty generous since Lu Yan never have a house of his own back in the day. This mountain is vast anyway and there is so much of these cottages here. They are not going to live for free though, as an outer sect member they have to do some chores. Cleaning, cooking, chopping woods and plethora of other boring works.
