12 Dancing Moonlight Castle

From the first time he met Lu Yan this is the first time the God caught off guard. He can read mind sure, but he not uses it every time on Lu Yan. However, he always knows how he think, as he is used to predict this kind of things. In a fight against people equal to him ability to predict the opponent's way of thinking and his action next is extremely important. So even without probing into his mind, the God always able to read Lu Yan's mind.

"Of course, I can, I am a God after all. But it will be risky and tiring. Let's get back first, I need to make arrangement." He took Lu Yan once again, this time they get back into the cave they were in before. In front of where Lu Yan sit there already two bottles of elixirs. "One drop each, one is for your body the other for your spirit. We are going to travel far, I might not be able to guard both each seconds of our journey."

Lu Yan do what he is told to, inside his heart is pounding. To the home of God means to go to the heaven. Is it true he is going into one, or this God will just throw him somewhere he doesn't know and boast it as the heaven. He never knows, but he will go anyway. What choice does he have?

When Lu Yan is ready, the God take his hands once again. This time he feels they travel even faster than before, as if it possible. However, this time it took quite some time, not as instant as before. Lu Yan fell totally dizzy and nauseous. He will definitely throw up if it is possible, though as a spirit travelling it isn't possible.

As Lu Yan arrive he need no confirmation about this place, this definitely not the earth. He arrives at a hall that is even bigger than the cave he was at. You can place the whole mountain into this hall alone. As far as he looks there is no window here, only a huge closed door. Yet there is light inside, he can see everything clearly. Only thing is everything is grey and flickered, though the flicker is almost unnoticeable. It feels like light is not travelling as fast here. Lu Yan not sure whether it is because he is in spirit form far from his body or that the light in this place is strange like this.

Lu Yan can't stop admiring the hall. The walls stretched so far with some carved pattern in it along with the pillars, which is as high as the mountain. The floor is so smooth yet it so sturdy it seems can't ever get dent. The roof is like a grey sky completed with another carved pattern. There are also statues and other ornaments in the hall, but everything seems ordinary once you see the throne in the middle of the room.

The throne is huge for a human to sit but look tiny at the enormous hall. However, it somehow took his attention and he is sure everyone else.

It definitely has some magic power to do that. Since everything in this place have the same color tone and the throne look simply. It just looks like a very luxurious chair that placed at a simple circle platform. So aside of some magical properties it is impossible to do that.

"So, this is your home?" It supposed to be a rhetorical from Lu Yan since he already knew. This is a castle though so this God has to be a King of God or some kind, a God amongst Gods.

"This is the Dancing Moonlight Castle and this was my home." The "was" sounds bitter but the God seems casual as always.

"Is someone else taking the castle while you are away. Like the outside force or your brother? Next in the line of successor." While he is away, he still is alive. So, if nobody else took the castle this supposed to be this God castle still. That is why Lu Yan ask such question.

"Well, this place is well guarded and quite hidden as well. No outside force will take away this place for now. I build this castle myself as well and no brothers, only subordinates. As for successor I have only one heir, you. So is now yours along with all that pledge their loyalty to me before." His words followed by a rumbling sound from the outside. At first Lu Yan thought it was his mind that play trick, since the words are too shocking for him, but it is not. The rumbling along with the roar from the outside are real.

"Shadow my old friend. Hey kid, let me introduce you to one of your strongest and most loyal subordinates." Lu Yan is taken again, this time to the back of the throne.

There is a stair there spiraling the outside wall of the hall. This stair placed between two walls, the left to the hall and the right let to the outside world. There are windows at this right wall, however Lu Yan's vision is blurred and also even the outside scenery looks grey all over.

Lu Yan try very hard to identify what is it on the outside, but his vision soon blocked by a dark scale. The scale is grey as well but have a darker tone than the rest of it and another thing is it is huge. Flying the scale is of a flying beast, Lu Yan thought. A huge flying beast with a scale, is it a dragon? A dragon is a creature of myth, one of it can bring enormous destruction. He remembers a story about a dragon wreak havoc in the mortal world and numerous gods has to descent from the heaven to put it down. Even then the Gods have their casualties, dragon is a creature that can kill even a God.

It is just stairs after stairs and scale after scale. In one window Lu Yan thought he see an eye, which is even bigger than his body. Again, with the speed he is in even though he still can see things, everything is blurred. They finally stop in front of a door. Lu Yan try to cross the door immediately, to his surprise he can't.

Surely this is the heaven, how can a castle be safe if any spirit just can come without knocking. So, Lu Yan have to wait the God besides him. A wave his hand the door split open. The huge door opens from the middle to the outside.

There he sees it. A dragon.

Before the windows is too small for him to be able to see it, even this time in the open he can't see the whole body. He can see a fierce head that look ancient and part of the body that shunned the sky above him. The tail though is nowhere to be seen since it encircles the extremely huge castle.

This dragon definitely able to see them both. Before he even able to sense them while inside. The roar he gives before definitely because he recognizes his master inside the castle. Lu Yan fear level rise with the dragon presence, but the God beside him hold his hand tight. He transfers a calming aura, just like the Goddess he met before him. Making Lu Yan able to relax a little.

Lu Yan stand there awkwardly as both the dragon and the God seems to talk with each other in their mind. They relieve their yearning of each other after separated for a long time, at least that is what Lu Yan thought of them.

After able to settle his shocked heart Lu Yan start to wander around the top of the castle. At least now he can predict how large the castle is. This castle is not just consisting of that one hall. It far bigger than that.

There are also other buildings around the castle, that with one glance Lu Yan know they were still part of the castle. The castle felt like the center of the universe and other buildings around it are attracted by the castle. Forcing them to kneel in front of it. The same feeling, he had with the throne before. Lu Yan is captivated by all the scene in front of him, the dragon, the castle and the peculiar grey landscape around it.

Suddenly a shrieking voice heard from the forest far from the castle. Lu Yan try to cover his ears; however, this voice doesn't seem to enter his body from his ear alone. He starts to get dizzy when the God again hold his hand and transfer some of his energy

"Our time is run out. That scream means we have to go before anyone notice us here. Also, your body already at its limit. Before that though let me introduce both of you first. You can never be a master of this castle unless Shadow acknowledge you." The God take Lu Yan hand once again and face him with the dragon he called Shadow.

The dragon moves his head close to Lu Yan and start to sniff at him. Lu Yan heart will fell off out of fear if it is not for the God aura injected to him. "Shadow let me introduce you to your new master. I know he is weak right now, but in time I hope you will assist him to fulfill my legacy."

The dragon understands his word and let out a thrilling roar to the sky. This roar shunned the shrieking voice from the forest. Accompanied by the roar Lu Yan has started to travel again back to earth.

The last thing he see is the darkness inside of the dragon's mouth and hear the roar it produces crushing his ear.

It needs three days for Lu Yan to finally regain his vigor completely. Before his whole body felt numb as he got back from his trip to the heaven. His spirit has left his body too long, a little bit longer and he will be left crippled or die. The God didn't provide him any help and say it is better for him to return into his normal state by himself. So later he can be more accustomed to this technique.

"I think this is now the time for me to brand my will to you, so that you will able to complete my legacy." Lu Yan never understand what that even mean. But he already heard about it a couple times before, that the God are going to brand his will into him.

Lu Yan is prepared, whatever it is he has to take it. It's not that he will have the ability to refuse anyway. The God slice his fingertips a little bit to produce some blood. "Red, just like a human one." It was the last thing Lu Yan can think of. Soon two of the bloody fingers thrust to Lu Yan's forehead. As it touches nothing is the same anymore.

Lu Yan's brain are flooded with enormous information and knowledge. Most of this can he can even able to decipher, he just can take it and then put it deep into his brain. He forgets most of them and do not understand the rest. However, it never stops his body felt hot and tired as his brain keep working. He doesn't know how long this process goes. Until he felt something is forming in his brain and being channeled to his hearts. As he the brands fully formed in his brain and heart Lu Yan is already collapsed.
