13 Blank Sapphire

Lu Yan can hear a few words still while he was unconscious. He heard the God speaking to a girl he called Blank Sapphire. He wasn't sure whether it was a dream or not.

When he finally wakes up, no information the branding process before he still remembers. Everything is a blur and there is no one here in the cave as well. Only few animals and plants and ponds with fishes inside. The cave that supposed to be barren is becoming lively. Is everything only a dream?

"They are your food, he leaves it for you." A young girl just come out from behind a tree while eating an apple. She looks like less than 10 years old and look innocent. Just like a normal girl except for her hair and eyes are blue and so her lips. Her blue hair tied in pigtails and her dress is simple just like a child.

"Who are you kid, what is your relation to the God? Where is he?" Lu Yan is not a fool; this kid surely has relation with the God. It is impossible she is just a random kid wandering around to this cave.

"Kid? I am a few hundred years of age; how dare you call me a kid. I am a sprite and my name is Blank Sapphire. I was summoned here by my master to give you three bags of his inheritance for you. As for my master he already goes to another life." Sadness can be seen in the girl's eyes as she said the last sentence.

No matter how Lu Yan look at her she just looks like a ten years old girl at most. However, the most important thing for Lu Yan now is the three bags. There are thousands of books before in this place, not to mention other artifacts he might have. Just how big these bags are going to be "So where is these bags you are talking about?"

Blank Sapphire don't answer, she just waves her hand and a large bag come from behind a rock. Well at least she didn't produce it out of nowhere. One thing is clear though, this girl knows magic. They are mostly used to cultivate Body Refining Techniques and just recently concocted by the God himself, since he never has any of those pills before. A type of pill has an introductory of being a pill used to breakthrough into the Qi Absorption Stage. A pill is enough for the dumbest person to breakthrough and I concoct ten of this for you. If you still fail then just eat those "Soul Enforcer" pill from before. If then you die when the pill force to build your own soul core then you deserve it for being useless.

The Soul Enforcer is the pill that said to be surely able to make someone reach the Soul Core Stage. A rare pill that he said to have four others, unfortunately those pills are not in this bag. Since this bag mostly used for him to cultivate into Qi Absorption, they might be on the next bag. Lu Yan can only wonder how big the next bags is going to be.

Other items are a cloth and dagger. Which named "normal clothes" and "normal dagger". Popular clothes in the heaven because it is made from a very smooth silk that is also so comfortable to wear. Though here on earth most weapon won't be able to pierce it. Complete with the instruction for Lu Yan wear it all the time even for an undergarment and the note that this cloth has been washed. The normal dagger is well only a common dagger in the heaven but able to pierce through the "normal cloth" before easily.

The instruction maybe full of jokes, but Lu Yan understand clearly that this joke is written by a God at his dying moment. Two talismans also can be found on the bags, once called "Blank Sapphire". A summoning spell can only be used when you at the Soul Core Stage and this spell is supposed to be the first spell used when you achieve it. Blank Sapphire will provide the guide you need while you are at that stage. The other one has no description beside the name of "Seven Star Teleportation".

What is this used for, Lu Yan show the talisman to Blank Sapphire. She looks shocked for the moment but soon calmed down "That talisman is actually a very high rated magical item. There is not supposed to be any magical item in the first bag since you can't use it anyway. Most magical item can get dangerous if you not understand how to use it as well. This talisman though even that it is a magical item, it doesn't drain your own power to activate it. Instead it activated with the power of the stars, only when seven stars in the heaven align with each other you can use this. The great thing this item can bring you anywhere instantly as long as you can think of the place. The bad thing is those stars may not align together in once in a hundred years. So, this item kind of useless."

Lu Yan disappointed a little bit with the explanation of the talisman, but he knows the great items are not placed in this bag. The next bag though will surprise him. The Blank Sapphire already produce the second bag and throw it in front of Lu Yan. This bag is much smaller than the first one with a not also attach in it.

"This is a magical bag; its inside is far bigger than it looks like from the outside. Yet this bag can only be open with a magic power, so at least you have to be at the Qi Absorption Stage to do that. There are some low-grade magical items there with some pills and manuals to get you into the Soul Core Stage."

Lu Yan has heard about magical bag before, but of course never have one. This bag are expensive items that make Lu Yan so happy about it. Even the bag alone can be sold for some fortune. He knows the third bag will be another magical bag though and might even be more expensive. Otherwise there is no way all the books before can fit inside it.

This third bag is even smaller and look like a purse, Blank Sapphire pull form her sleeve and hold it instead of throwing it. Certainly, there is something valuable are inside, the letter accompany it is bigger than the other though. That letter instead is thrown at Lu Yan before she hands over the bag.

"This last bag is also a magical bag, that sealed with my will. Only I can open this bag, though since I already give you my will before this bag now link with your soul. Once you get your Soul Core and only if that Soul Core come from my Evil Technique you will be able to open this bag. Remember though, this bag itself is a very rare artifacts from the heaven not to mention how valuable what inside it. Anyone who see this will be engulfed by greed and try to open it by force. I can't let anyone else to get what inside this bag, especially my enemy. So, in case someone other than you open this bag by force, this bag will incinerate itself along with everything inside.

The trick is since this bag is linked with your soul, once it happens your soul will be incinerated as well. Thus, you will die. Not only die but it will be a painful and miserable death, I will leave the description to Blank Sapphire if you want to know how that work. If you are death this bag will also going to self-incinerated. Since it unable to know your condition when you are alive, such as if you have been kidnapped and forced to open this bag. I put another condition to is so it will also self-incinerate in twenty years if you haven't able to open it. Twenty years is very long if you take my pills into consideration. This twenty year is so only you are not openly stand out too much and rose suspicion before you are strong enough."

Lu Yan just got a mental breakdown hearing that. The thought of becoming a demi god or a true god is intriguing. However, Lu Yan always want to keep his option open, selling all this fortune to live peacefully the rest of his life is what he dreamed before. He at least wants to keep those dream alive, but now it been shattered. He has no other choice but to get into the Soul Core Stage. When you are there everyone will know who you are. It was rare for someone that reach Soul Core Stage wandering around leisurely at towns.

Surely though not everyone can know what stage you are on. Body Refining cultivator can only guess which level other cultivator are by comparing their power. Qi Absorption one can check on what stage you are on but not going to know how long you are there. Whether you just reach that stage or almost make a breakthrough. At Soul Core Stage you can check clearly what level other cultivator at, but also at that level you have the ability to camouflage your own level. Whether make it totally unrecognizable or making it lower and higher. At least those are the God has been telling him.

Maybe he can hide it after reach the Soul Core Stage and get back to his hometown. However, something telling him there is something the third bag that will prevent him to doing so. He is still staring at the letter and the small bag now at his hand. He has to keep this hidden, luckily it is small so it is not so hard doing it.

"Are you done, you better get back to your cultivation now. Time is keep moving forward, your precious twenty years is going to run up soon." Blank Sapphire start to tease Lu Yan as he sees his worried face.

The brand started to show it usefulness once Lu Yan try to cultivate. The memory imprinted to him, may not be able to remembered by his brain. However, his muscle and every inch of his body remembered it. Cultivating is far much easier after.

Blank Sapphire insist that he can only take one pill at a time. Lu Yan agreed to her since he has to be cautious anyway. After swallowed one of the pill Lu Yan feel a huge energy surge in his body. This is unlike any pills he ever had before. Lu Yan meditate at once to harness all the energy built up in his body.

In a night Lu Yan already felt his body trembling, he knows immediately he has breakthrough to the next level of Body Refining Stage. Yet the pill effect still surging in his body. With all this energy building in his body eating is unnecessary. Lu Yan continue his meditation for 3 days and 3 nights.

When he finally opens his eyes, Lu Yan already reach the 5th level of Body Refining Technique. The goal Lu Yan has set to achieve in three years has just been achieved in 3 days.
