A dashing young man with blond hair and green eyes cheerfully interacted with the townspeople. Alric Reed was a new, promising knight. Having saved countless women and children from the incident of Gorah, he won the hearts of the people through his valiant actions against a horde of orcs. Furthermore, he has gained the favor of the first princess Lucia Hyacinth by saving her and vanquishing the dragon that captured her. His dashing appearance and righteous personality was further complimented by his control over light and earth magic. As such, he was extremely popular: even in the crowded capital.

"I must get going, I need to complete my rounds", said Alric as he bid farewell. He continued walking around, helping older women carry their groceries, catching petty thieves, and arresting delinquents. As the sky got darker, he returned to the knight's barracks to report his actions during the day.

"Well done Alric." says the Kent, the middle aged man in charge of the capital's patrols.

"It was my honor to serve the people."

"Oh yes, the King and the Princess wish to meet with you right now."

Panting, a man with black hair and dark brown eyes woke up. He held his throbbing head, everything blurry around him. Looking down, he noticed that he was still in his knight uniform. However, that was the only familiar thing. All around him was metal. The floor was some type of rusted metal covered in putrid junk, and there were a few visible structures made entirely of metal.

Where am I? Thought the man. What happened?

As he continued observing his surroundings, he realized that he was no longer in the Hyacinth Kingdom. He was in another world altogether.
