8 Chapter 7

Suddenly, my phone beeps and I've seen my twin's name on the caller ID. "Where are you?" he asked right after I hit the answer button.

"I'm at the gym," I replied.

"What are you doing there?"

"Watching basketball."

"What? Since when did you start to become interested in watching basketball, Sky?"

"Just right now."

"Lol, Sky. Come here now, we're in the car. Kanina pa naiinip si Veia, sa'n daw natin siya dadalhin. I replied, in the cemetery, dahil ililibing ko siya, patay na patay sa'kin, Bro," and he laughed while Veia said, "yuck, korni!!"

Alright! Ayan na naman sila.

"Halika na, Bro, ikikiwento ko sa'yo kung ba't patay na patay siya sa'kin."

"I'm not!"

"But, I know you love me."

"Pero, hindi naman patay na patay!"

Wait, what? L-love him? Did she confess?

"Gano'n na rin 'yon," it's Sun.

"I hate you!" said Veia.

"I love you, too," and it's Sun again.

Sh*t! I hang up the phone. Hindi ko na napigilan.

"What's wrong with you?" Hillary asked.

"Ha?"

"Why are you teary-eyed?"

Sh*t! Sky, control your damn emotion!!

"I-I'm gonna go now," I went out of the gymnasium so soon.

"Why are you here, Sky? The game's postponed, didn't you receive my announcement?" Coach Erika asked when she'd seen me getting my bow.

"I know coach, gusto ko lang talaga mag practice," I replied and she just nodded. "I'll go now," then, I went to the practice area.

Wala na namang tao rito dahil andoon lahat sa gym. Actually, hindi naman laging walang tao rito, this is an open area and it's exclusive for all, sadyang wala lang masyadong nagpupunta dahil medyo may kalayuan sa sentro ng University.

I was about to position myself and hit the most central ring of the archery target, but my phone beeps again. "Sky—"

I didn't let him finish talking and I immediately interrupt, "Sun, I'm in practice. Sa susunod na lang natin dalawin si Tatay." I know he'll surely understand.

"Hmm, alright, after your game?"

"Yah. Hang it up."

"Veia, Sky couldn't come with us, then let's just go out?"

"Are you asking me to go on a date with you, Sun?"

"I am, Lady, so are you saying yes?"

I don't know why, but I didn't hang up my phone, instead, I listen to heir conversation. Sun didn't happen to end the call, ganyan talaga siya kaya usually ako na 'yong nagbababa ng phone, but now, I'd love to torture myself!

"Sa'n mo gustong pumunta?"

"Anywhere, as long as I'm with you."

Sun laughed, "oh, you're crazy in love with me!" he exclaimed. I can really hear how happy my twin is.

"Ikaw rin naman," and both of them laugh.

Okay, Sky, they're now happy together and all you need to do is to be happy, too, and become a supportive best friend for Veia and a supportive twin for Sun. That's it.

I hang up the phone, then I started shooting the archery target. I made 15 straight bullseyes already, which I usually couldn't achieve. Siguro, I'm letting out my anger through this. Sobrang galit ako sa sarili ko. Sino ba kasi ang may gawa nito, 'di ba? Sino ang dapat sisihin kung ba't nasasaktan ako ngayon? It's me! Ako lang at wala ng iba!

Hay. Why do we love someone who doesn't love us and who won't ever love us back? Is this really normal or life is just fooling us around?

"I hate you, little heart, for beating on the wrong person!" I suddenly said, lightly hitting the left part of my chest.

From behind someone made a bullseye in the other archery target! I turned around to know who just did it...and I really am so surprised! She's 5 meters away from me, so it means she shot the archery target 25 meters away!

"T-That was impressive," I unconsciously said.

"20 golds in five minutes, you're gonna tell me the reason why you were crying while listening to your twin on the phone," she uttered, and before I could give my reaction she already started shooting the archery target, still, 25 meters away from it.
