"What....." Finally unable to take it anymore Arthur spoke up.
A burly looking man with a scar on the face said with a serious face "There's some things to clarify about you before you can enter the town"
"OK , then clarify it fast." he said impatiently.
Shaking his head the burly man said "Very well , answer my questions truthfully or you will regret it "
"Regret my ass" He thought as using his eye to check the other man

The man looked sideways to a girl standing there and got a nod from her.
"Final question , are you a spy of any other countries that came into the empire..?"
"No i'm not a spy."He said sternly.
Quickly glancing sideways and earning a nod from the girl he sighed and said
"Looks like you were saying the truth after all. I'm sorry for the inconvenience."
"It's okay , i can understand the purpose."
"Thank you for understanding , some people can be very angry at this you know.
By the way my name is gerald and this is aisha."
"Ohh... my name is arthur , sorry to ask if i'm rude but why is a child like her here...?"
Hesitating a little and glancing at the little girl he said "She is a truth officer. She can discern if people are being truthful or not by using her eyes of truth."
"An evil eye....?"
"Yes an evil eye. But we usually keep it hidden because people commonly consider those who are born with evil eyes to be devil spawn."
"Yeah i also heard that they were given by a demon lord or something"
"Mmm there is a legend like that. So please keep it a secret."
"Okay no problem , but is it alright to work her like that."
"About that, when people awakes evil eyes the empire takes them early for training there powers and utilizing it."

"Cruel..? yeah it is cruel. At her age a normal child would be playing while shes working here. World can be cruel."

"OHh i'm sorry about that , we will now proceed to sent you inside."

"Hmm If it's not much you can exchange them at the knights outpost. If you have more you'll need to go to the adventurer's guild."
"No there isn't much to sell."

After a few minutes Arthur exited the outpost saying goodbye to the knight captain and headed towards the town center.
"Heeeeh, it really feels nice to come in contact with humans after all."
Thinking back a little "What was that before though...? It felt so strange.....who was that girl....She felt so familiar"
"Maybe she is connected to my past self."
"Another mystery , huuuuh" He sighed thinking about it.
"Well no good worrying about that now , since i'm in a town now better get some food first"
Wasting no time he went to the market place where several stalls were lined up selling hot steaming foods of varieties.
After going through most of them he let out a satisfied burp.
"Phew that sure hit the spot."
"Now for a place to crash today. Let's go with the one which the captain had reccomended. "
He thought as walking forward to find the inn "Golden sun"
After walking around a little he finally found the inn.
Walking into the inn he greeted the girl who was at the reception.
"Hello miss , i would like a room of one for a month."
"Certainly sir , would you like the meals included....? We have a delicious course of meals here." She replied with a smile on her face.
"Yes , i would like the meals included too. "
"Okay , that would be 5 silvers"
He took 5 silver coins out of his pouch and gave it to her. After that she showed him his room upstairs.
"Dinner would be available from 7 pm , so come downstairs for that okay" she said before leaving.
Laying on the comfortable bed he thought " Finally i a comfy , fluffy bed . Man my back hurts even thinking of sleeping on the floor."
"After all these time getting here on this world , i got into a town at last. Now i gotta plan my future plans"
"But before that , let's sleep a little bit."
He fell asleep thinking that into a deep sleep in a long time.
