9 Traveling into each other's worlds.

Son-in-law got a grand welcome at in-law's house for the first time after Marriage . Kusum's family members were trying their best to ensure that there should be no shortage in the reception of the son-in-law.

In the eyes of the mother, he was not her son-in-law but her son. She did not see her son-in-law's face, but she knew that there was no one in the whole area more handsome and good looking than her son-in-law. She wanted to protect her son-in-law from all the evil eye.

Kusum wanted to introduce her husband to her world, she wanted to tell her husband everything that made her happy or that made her sad. Kusum wanted to show her husband how much peace and happiness there was , In her world.

She introduced her husband to the people of her village, took her to the village temple, showed the waterfalls, the mountains, introduced her to her friends, her favorite places.

Kusum was happy that her husband was mingling with her world and liking her dear ones. But he saw only flaw in his wife's dear people, he did not come to her world to reconcile, He had come only to take his wife with him.

"Beta ,What's the hurry, stay for at least a week." Kusum's mother spoke to her son-in-law.

"Nahi , Mata ji , Now we must go home. Mother and sister-in-law are remembering Kusum, so I have come to pick her up. " He said with no feeling.

Somehow he agreed to stay for two days....

At the time of dinner, 56 types of food were served to the son-in-law, and the aunt was sitting and swinging the fan, Kusum's brother, uncle and elder father were all happy with the arrival of the son-in-law and were sitting around him. Slow music was playing on the radio.

After the dinner , Kusum took her husband to the terrace, till then arrangements were made for him to sleep .

"Don't you like this place and the people here? Or did you feel bad about something? " Kusum asked curiously.

"No, i don't feel bad here : but nothing is real here everybody is fake " He said .

"Fake, no no! you misjudged , Everyone here is like that only. " She said .

"It is fake, people at my house do not give me as much love as they are giving, all this will last only for a day or two" He said.

She was stunned, as she could not figure out a way to make him believe that they all really loved her, And that is why her husband was also dear to everyone.

Both of them were seeing each other's world but they could not feel each other's world, there was no love in one world, Whereas there was no sorrow and hate anywhere in the other's world, there was only love. Both were unable to live each other's past. This was the reason for the weakness of their relationship.

After two days, Kusum had to go to her in-laws' house, no one could stop her even for a day. Kusum was used to suffering torture, but saying goodbye to her mother, was worse than suffering any pain. After saying goodbye to everyone, after caressing the forehead of her pets, completing the rituals, Kusum left to go to her in-laws' house.

Slowly, the sound of the farewell song of the women of the village slowed down, and everyone's throat was choaked , tears came out of their eyes.

Everyone's beloved Kusum set out on a journey of life with her husband.

After leaving their house early in the morning, by 10 am, both of them reached their destination,

As soon as she comes from her house, mother-in-law tells her that the elder daughter-in-law (jethani ) is not at home, and the middle daughter-in-law is going to become a mother, That's why she have to change clothes quickly and have to cook something for lunch.

So , she quickly changed clothes and started cooking,

I don't know why but Kusum was treated so inhumanly, probably because her husband always happily endured the misbehavior meted out to him. And after suffering such misbehave, he had become used to of these things.. And he didn't see anything bad in what was happening to Kusum.
