A New Love

"You're behind me?" I said aloud. Without warning, Cynthia tackled me to the ground and led on top of me.

"Cynth?" I questioned, looking up at her smirk.

"Y/N?" She replied.

"What's this about?" I asked calmly.

"I need to tell you something" She whispered softly. I stared at Cynthia, whenever she whispered it always sent shivers down my spine.

"Tell me what?" I smiled. Cynthia glared at me.

"You know what" Cynthia pouted. I played dumb knowing exactly what she meant, smirking slightly.

"You're going to make me say it, aren't you?" Cynthia said, trying to sound as defiant as she could. I nodded in response. She leant in and hovered next to my ear.

"I think I love you Y/N" Cynthia said, in a hushed voice.

"You don't say" I laughed, gesturing to her body language.

"Be serious pleaseeeee" Cynthia sighed, kissing my neck gently. My eyes widened as I felt her lips on my neck.

"Look at me" I whispered. Cynthia sat up slightly and stared into my eyes.

"I love you too Cynth." I stared back. She buried her head into my chest, crying.

"Woah. What's wrong?" I panicked, thinking I'd said something wrong. Cynthia just looked up at me smiling.

"I'm crying because I'm really happy right now idiot" she laughed. I smiled, wiping her tears off her cheeks. Cynthia leaned in closer until we were millimetres apart.

"What?" I whispered softly, looking into her eyes. Cynthia just winked and kissed me. I kissed back, putting my hand on her cheek. Cynthia broke the kiss and smiled.

"We need to get out of this forest" She laughed, getting up.

"Go put something on and I'll think about it" I smirked. Cynthia's cheeks flushed as she ran back to get changed under the tree. I sighed, feeling like a big weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I grabbed both bags and walked to the edge of the forest waiting. Cynthia ran over 5 minutes later, wearing something this time. I couldn't help but laugh.

"What?" Cynthia said, glaring at me. I reached over and pulled a twig out of her hair, showing her. "Oh" She said quietly, clearly feeling guilty.

"You look beautiful" I smiled, kissing Cynthia softly. She returned the kiss and picked up her bag.

"Thank you Y/N. For everything" Cynthia said.

"I love you too." I smirked, holding out my hand. Cynthia took my hand laughing, and 'together' together this time. We made our way back to Veridian with one purpose, to always be together.

Cynthia's Pov:

I skipped around smiling to myself.

"Somebody's happy" I heard Y/N call after me. I stood still and made a love heart with my hands. Y/N blushed and scratched the back of his head.

"Maybe that's because I'm with somebody I love, a lot" I smirked, wrapping my arms around Y/N. Everything was just perfect. Y/N leant down and kissed me softly.

"Let's get to Viridian" Y/N smiled, squeezing my hand. I squeezed his hand back and lead the way into Viridian. It was a quiet town, with only the sound of small conversations between the locals. I looked around, trying to find the gym.

"Hey, Y/N?" I turned around.

"Yeah?" Y/N replied.

"Where's the gym? I don't see it" I laughed.

Y/N turned my head slightly and pointed at a small building which looked like a run down bar.

"What. That's it?!" I pouted.

"Cynth. It's only a small town silly. It won't be a fancy building" Y/N smiled, patting my head. I blushed and looked down.

"I guess you're right" I mumbled. I thought back to what happened in the forest. Y/N was always so calm and patient. It's scary when he loses his cool.

"Earth to Cynthia" I heard Y/N say, waving his hand in front of me.

"Oh, sorry just daydreaming again" I looked down.

"What's wrong?" Y/N lifted my chin up with his finger. I blushed wildly.

"It's about what happened in the forest" I said, looking up at Y/N.

"The first or second part" Y/N smirked.

"The first dummy" I felt my cheeks flush at the thought of what happened. Y/N's face darkened.

"It's best you forget about it Cynth" Y/N sighed.

"No!" I shouted. Y/N always surrounded himself in his sadness whenever he was afraid of something. It was like he created his own little world to retreat to. I won't let him do it anymore. Y/N looked over at me, with tears in his eyes.

"There will be more of them because I lost control Cynth. You know that right? The people in the forest" Y/N whispered. "More people who can put you in danger" Y/N looked away.

"Y/N" I smiled as he looked back at me. "It's not your fault, ok? You saved me" I continued, hugging Y/N. I could feel Y/N put his arms around me and sigh.

"I'm sorry" Y/N apologised, pulling away. "Let's go, shall we?" Y/N held out his hand and smiled. I grabbed his hand and ran towards the so-called 'gym'. As we walked into the gym, lights lit up along the walls revealing the main battle arena.
