The Flower and The Monster

Valor is different than the rest of his species. He longs for the love of another, but his outside form is too demonic and horrifying for anyone to see past it. Everyone who sees him screams in fear and cowers for their lives because of his appearance. Valor hates himself for being so terrifying and becomes empty inside, refusing to let himself feel emotion so he can cope with the fact that he will never be loved. The dimension he lives in is like hell itself, and so isolated that their leader; who isn't one of them, creates portals to other worlds in order to spread chaos and destruction. Valor also hates how strong he is because he is forced to kill others because of that. He tries to accept his horrible life but finds himself falling in love with a human that was taken prisoner. He can't help wanting her and even saves her from a gruesome death, even though he knows that she would never possibly love him back... Or would she...?
