47 The Secret Room

As soon as I finish casting the spell, his body starts falling. I catch him, holding him in my arms, then resting him on his bed. I make sure I cover him up properly, nights are cold here in the North, even when it is not winter.

A dreamless sleep for him, I make sure of that. I do not want him to relive his nightmares every single night be closes his eyes. 

He should not be out roaming about sleepless when we could be deployed in a fight any moment soon. He should take some rest. I know he did not sleep a wink last night, and I know why. Fear not, I will do what I can for you. I will do what I can so that we can recover your sword, and you no longer have to fear. 

So sleep, sleep tonight and let all the worries wait for tomorrow. Who knows, perhaps this knot will have been untangled a little by then.
