3 Chapter Three- What, scared to get poked

The ride to pick up Olivia was anything but quiet. Ever since they left the Smith's Residence, Alex has asked her many questions such as, 'how long has this gone on for', 'can you tell me when first signs of your anger started', and 'were you able to do this before'?

"Earth lost its energy for people to do magic over a century ago. I can't have powers and besides, I don't think Mom or Dad originated from a witch heritage or any supernatural creatures from before Havoc Day," Harmony argued.

Their ancestors just owned banks, unlike the supernaturals who used their magic to cheat in life. That caused her Mom's side of the family to lose the building and forced her family into Real Estate. She didn't know if her mom enjoyed doing her job but she seemed happy for where she's at. Now they are a well-known family, especially for their brown hair even if all the Father Familias' believe in equality but if you think about it, everyone has a certain level in society. No one is ever equal. People have different shades of blondes to prove it.

Harmony's mom went with her natural hair color as did her mom. The middle-aged woman doesn't believe in changing anything about yourself, you are beautiful the way you are without pounds of glitter. It's not illegal to go as your birthright hair color, Harmony knows some people who do it, that's including Alex, but it is frowned upon. If it wasn't for Harmony's background and natural blonde hair instead of artificial, she wouldn't have made it into the JUINS.

"Hmm," was Alex's only reply.

His car pulled into a Subdivision and continued down the road.

"Why are you asking so many questions? It could have been anything, even a ghost," Harmony said. For all she knew, that mirror could have been cursed, she had gotten it passed down from her sister after all and she's not far from twisted. Harmony even caught her trying to practice something very unorthodox. She could have summoned an evil ghost for all Harmony knew.

"Ghosts," Alex repeats. She's in for a wholly different ride if she thinks that, Alex told himself.

"Yes, just because magic is gone, doesn't mean ghosts are."

Alex snorts. "I don't believe in ghosts. I believe in something...like recycling souls. All fallen souls go to one place to be placed in different categories."

"Please, fill me in on false information."

"You will believe me, soon," Alex takes a right and drives down a narrow road. Harmony looks out her window, still paying attention to Alex's voice but also looking at Hannah. The leader of the JUINS. She turns her gaze to her speech which is laying on her lap. Hannah's boyfriend exits Hannah's mansion, giving her a rough kiss before hopping into the driver's seat. She turned around just in time to meet Harmony's dark blue eyes. Over the years Harmony's appearance, hair color, eye color, and even skin has adjusted to what a human would look like.

Harmony immediately looks away in submission, pretending to look at herself off the mirror the side of the car. She looks back at Hannah who is calling her forward with her finger. Both girls have very high-stress levels but Harmony was partially happy. Today was Friday, it was not only the last day till a 2 day weekend but she didn't have to attend her classes all week, they were getting things ready for the Halloween Dance. The gym is off-limits to everyone except the JUINS who grabbed the Halloween Dance assignment. Now they are cutting and hanging things up. The other schools' group of female competitive preps, such as the LOVES are stuck with nothing to do because they had already done the Homecoming Dance assignment.

"...into a body." When Alex notices Harmony's distracted gaze, he turns to the distraction. Alex stops the cars. "You want me to go back so you can deal with that?"

Harmony turns to face Alex with a genuine smile. "Make sure to pick me up a Matcha Green Tea and tell Olivia where I am." She slips him a hug, grabs her backpack and speech off of her lap then slips out the door closing it. She peers into the rolled-down window. "Light ice, raspberry, and whipped cream. I'll pay you back later on."

Alex winks. "Gotcha." Then drives off.

Harmony slides on her name-brand backpack, holding the orange sheet protectively in her arms. Harmony goes to slip into the back of the green Tesla, rising to shut the door. Dean takes off, flying past a stop sign. "You just passed a stop sign." Harmony's voice was barely noticeable but she was seated behind Dean's seat enough for him to hear all of it.

"Yes, and," Dean asks, smirking as he pushes the gas pedal. They fly by houses and Harmony immediately notices she forgot to buckle her seat belt. Realizing they were about to turn, she did it right away, holding onto the door almost after.

"Stop being a boring bitch, Harmony, and enjoy life," Hannahs says, looking into a hand mirror to apply lipstick. "This exact behavior is why you are still a virgin." She turns to Dean. "Slow down Babe, I need to finish my make up."

Dean sighs and releases some of the gas. "I already know a lot of my guys who want to fuck you." Harmony instantly shakes her no and turns her gaze out the window. She was already feeling uncomfortable in the same space as this guy. Despite him already dating Hannah, he had already hooked up with plenty of girls while they are still together. She wonders if Hannah knows and doesn't care or if she's just another victim.

"What, scared to get poked," he asks. After that, Harmony's mouth shriveled with anger. She ignored him by shoving a pair of Bluetooth buds in her ears and turning them all the way up. Even at the highest, the earbuds keep in the loud music with special technology that the United Provinces of Četras have proudly excelled. Harmony was currently in her mood and didn't want to be bothered incase what happened to the mirror was true.
