6 Chapter Six- Yes ma'am

DAY 1

Dean who thought he was gonna lose his mind, turn to park. Pissed off, he jumped out of the car and harshly slammed the door behind him and strode toward the school with his backpack on one shoulder. Harmony flinched and placed her hand on the door handle but before she could get far, Hannah called her back.

"Yes," Harmony asked.

Hannah ads a dab of glitter to her eye shadow before she raps everything up and she turns around with one of the tickets the officer had given Dean. "We are supposed to split the ticket and since I don't have the money for this." With a smile, she holds the ticket forward. "You get to pay for it."

Startled, Harmony lets out the air in her lungs and begins to plead. "But Hannah, this is a lot of money, I don't even think I have this kind of money. I'm cut from my allowance for a while." With wide eyes, Harmony takes in the digits on the ticket and holds up her hands in surrender. "I can't." Rethinking her words she places them with bolder ones. "I won't do it."

"You pay the ticket or you pay the price, Sunshine. Don't think your not replaceable Harmony, your nothing special. Just because you have naturally blonde hair, doesn't make you anything. I can easily kick you off the cheerleading squad and wipe you off the JUINS." Hannah's face darkens as she leans forward, shoves the ticket in Harmony's face for a few seconds before letting it fall in her lap. Harmony keeps quiet and holds in her tears as she desperately grips onto her backpack for emotional support. "In other words, I can squish you like a bug, Honey."

Hannah gives her an irritated smile. "You are going to pay for the ticket aren't you?"

"Yes," Harmony replies, her voice cracking in the end. Noticing her slip, a tear rolls down her eyes as she looks directly into Hannahs. 'Doing this will help you into college,' she thought. 'This is the only way. Seven more months and you will be free from her grasp and you will be able to go to college and hopefully get the dream job you desire. You will get to start over and try to make better friends. Real friends.'

Hearing that, Hannah's smile grew and she greedily asked, "Yes what?"

"Yes ma'am," Harmony replies.

"Much better, Dean is already paying the other one, feel lucky that you only have one too," Hannah opens the passenger seat door. "But if you feel like earning Hannah points, you can pay off the other as well." She turns back to Harmony with wide and demanding eyes. "Oh and say anything about this car ride and your done. Got it?"

Harmony nods.

"Also, stay away from the guys with the black hair, I already got a text that they have joined Deans rivalry's club and since they are rivals, the JUINS are rivals against them also, since he's my 'boyfriend' and all."

Harmony nods again.

"Good. I'm very glad we understand each other. We are friends after all." Hannah ups then leaves, nothing but the sound of the passenger's door closing. With gushing tears, Harmony watches as Hannah sways her hips rhythmically catching the eyes of many boys as she walks by. Harmony looks into the rearview mirror to see the damage that has been done. Her cheeks appear as red as a cherry and nose like Rudolph. Her eyes are rimmed with pink and glossy eyes are dilated.

She knew her friend was a bitch but never did she thought that Hannah would go as far as to touch or rub her hands in her face with such force. It felt scary. She wouldn't be able to stop her if Hannah decided to actually throw a fist at her next time. Was bruises and bullying worth getting into college? Her mental health should matter. Alex, her most trusted friend insisted she quit the JUINS and find another club to join but none of them were as popular as the JUINS. Hannah's relationship with Dean secures that.

For the sake of colleges in the United Provinces of Četras, your background matters a ton. They want the top, the best of the best to receive the finest education. Having well-known parents in the housing area isn't enough to match successful company owners even if it is close. They'd rather have red than orange. This is what made the United Provinces of Četras so successful in the technology and science area.

Many major protests have broken out about the poor not having a chance or the same opportunities that the middle or high class do. The four leaders who rule over the Provinces of Četras known as the Pater Familias' were the ones who stepped in and took the subject into their hands. Being in the lower rank was a way to pick out the talented, otherwise known as the 'deserving'. The rich stand for hard work and being from the lower rank was a way to prove yourself worthy by overcoming challenges.

There have been some improvements to the country which gave the poor some access to elite schooling but not nearly enough to satisfy the public. But as the years pass by the public opinion shrunk out of fear of speaking against the leaders of this country and the risk of losing their jobs. Now it was hard to express your feelings to certain subjects, fearing your reputation and being judged.

Harmony skimmed over her speech. 'The more you're involved the more experience you have,' thought Harmony. 'Bullying and bruises will be worth it.' She'd sacrifice her mental health for her dream college and job. Nothing is more important and nothing will stop her. Nothing.' Harmony nods her head at the rearview mirror to assure herself and lets out a heavy breath.

Before she could whip out her cosmetic bag to apply more makeup, there was heavy tapping on her window.
