While searching for any other type of criminal I open the random box I had obtained from the quest, and I also look at the Skullcrusher gauntlet I had obtained this morning.
The moment I thought about looking at the Skullcrasher gauntlets a new screen appeared on the side of my face.

'From my gaming knowledge this is a pretty basic weapon, but the bleeding effect is very broken, not everyone can heal part of their health every minute, so bleeding will hurt for them way more than it would for me.'
After that, the random box finally opened and what looked like a complete dark gem appeared on my hand and its status formed in front of my face.

Darkness Growth Gem
Can be used to make a normal weapon or armor a growth type item

When I read the words my eyes sparkled, and my brain began thinking about what I should use, I instantly removed the Skullcrusher from the options, next were my clothes and any other type of item I possessed, in the end, the only thing that remained was my mask.
With my idea of becoming a vigilante having a mask that can grow with you is a very good idea, and even if it's normal now, it can grow.
I reach a secluded area and I remove my mask, then I let the gem come in contact with the mask, and it gets suddenly covered in a dark aura.
The mask stays covered for 10 minutes when the 11th minute arrived the aura slowly faded away, and the mask could finally be seen again, but unlike before, now instead of red, it was tally black, with what looked like white pieces of glass covering the eyes.
I slowly move my hand towards the mask, and as soon as my finger touched the mask, as if it was water, the mask became liquid and run all over my arm finally reaching my face, and returning to its original form.
The weight of the mask completely disappeared and it felt as if had become a second skin, it was as if I didn't even have the mask on, and even though my eyes were covered by the white glass I could see perfectly, if not even better than before.
Just like before, the status of the mask appears in front of my face.

Mask of Darkness
A mask used to battle hundreds of battles infused with the darkness element.
Special Effects: Fighter of darkness, Night vision, Darkness enchantment, Fusion, +10 all stats

While fighting and not being by sunlight all damage will deal a +50% darkness damage

You can see in the dark as if it was the day.

While fighting and not being by sunlight all skills growth will receive a +50% growth
Fusion
Since the equipment is a growth type the user that cones its contact with it, fuses with it, makes you able to change its shape, but unable to remove it, can't become a weapon, can't protect from physical attacks unless it is in its natural form.
Plus stats aren't activated unless, during a fight, so it's easier for the host to train the stats.
Evolution requirement: kill 1000 enemies, depending on who you kill the evolution will change: 0/1000

'Damn, this thing not only makes it easier for me to work during the night, but also adds 10 whole points to my state, and since I can't remove it they are constant, I should try to change its shape to something less flashy.'
I will for the mask to take the shape of a necklace with a bullet attached to it, and in less than a second it changes shape to exactly what I imagine.
I play with it for some more minutes and finally decide that it is better if I go back home, in a few hours Inko will wake up, and if she doesn't find the house clean it's gonna be a problem for me.

When I finally got home I change into my normal clothes and I check all the skills levels and stats points I gained through the night.
In total, I gained, 4 points in Agi, 2 in Dex, 1 in End, 1 in Str, 7 levels in parkour, 3 in running, 2 in physical fitness, and 4 in Yoga, apparently parkour also counts as Yoga, cool.
Pretty good gains for only a night, and when I checked myself in the mirror I distorted that the skills were changing not only my ability to fight and move but my whole body.
My body got denser, more defined, trailer, flexible, and sharper in nearly all aspects, maybe due to the upgrade in my Int and the mana inside my body, my eye's color changed from deep green to an almost pulsating radiant green, I just hope no one notice.
With my new body speed and agility, it took less than 1 hour to clean the whole house and cook breakfast for Inko, which resulted in another point in Dex and 1 level in Cooking.
I get out of the house with a smile on my face and head toward the forest, why am I happy?
