14 Mom?!

Ye Han is undeniably exhausted. After eating that very fulfilling lunch, he just wants to lay down the bed and sleep for the whole day. That's why he excused himself from Alice and went to the infirmary. One could say that the infirmary is his realm. As long as Dr. Rose is the one assigned to the infirmary, he could also be the pseudo sovereign of the infirmary.

"Okay, let's just arrange the beds. Close the curtains so that no one else will find me and I'm good to go." As soon as he laid down he instantly fell asleep.

Just then someone entered the infirmary. It was a woman wearing a doctor's coat. An excellent figure that is still apparent even if she wore the coat. A generous bust. With a head full of crimson hair, one would say that she is a beautiful woman.

When she entered, she immediately noticed the subtle disarray of the beds. 'Someone's already here?' True to her thoughts she found Ye Han sleeping peacefully. His light breathing showing how deep his sleep is.

She then put a blanket on top of Ye Han, covering him from the neck to the feet. She looked at him lovingly and bent down to plant a kiss on his forehead. After that, she covered the curtains and went to her desk.

"Where's Ye Han?"

David put on a thoughtful expression. He too is unsure of Ye Han's location. "He said he will go to the infirmary. Maybe he's sleeping there?"

"Oh."

"Okay Alice, let me introduce you to the rest of the class."

"This is… blah blah blah…"

"Somethin…. Something…"

After a lengthy and detailed introduction. David finally finished, currently licking his chapped lips due to how many words he said.

"Your surname is Huang, are you perhaps related to the Spear Immortal?"

"Yes, I'm his only granddaughter," Alice answered shyly.

David just responded with a casual nod. But Alice is very surprised by his lack of reaction. "Aren't you surprised?"

"Nah, I'm used to it. Remember, this is a school of elites. Students related to big shot organizations and clans are a norm here. You being the granddaughter of the Spear Immortal is nothing to be surprised."

"That's, nice."

"Is Ye Han here?" The whole class was interrupted by a blue haired girl.

Alice did not miss David's tight grip on the desk. "He might be inside the infirmary," David answered with a strained smile. The girl just bowed her head respectfully and immediately went away.

"…traitor." He uttered venomously as he released his grip on the desk. As he released his grip, the desk let out an obvious creak. She noticed the visible dents made by his fingers. Another thing is the other males inside the classroom. They were looking very grim. Like they are out for someone's blood. Some fished out stakes out of nowhere. Others are sharpening blades, eliciting a bright shimmer from them. David took out a mask that looks very threatening as he uttered, "Traitors shall be purged."

She has an obvious hunch who the traitor was. But she did not know how he became a traitor. "So, who was that girl?" Alice asked. Deep inside she was preparing to defend Ye Han should the need arise.

"That was Akari, from class A," David answered while sharpening his blade.

"What is their relationship though?"

"I don't know. And that why we're going to extract information from him, later." David cackled like a villain.

'Don't worry Ye Han, I'll protect you as much as I can do.' She assured him.

"Achoo!" Ye Han sneezed while sleeping. He immediately rubbed his nose and went back to his sleep.

The woman inside heard him sneeze and went to check up on him. "Does he have a cold?" She put her hands on top of Ye Han's forehead. "His temperature is normal. Someone must have been talking about him."

"The tournament's already here huh? How nostalgic." The doctor put on a peaceful expression remembering her time as a student of the institution. "Would Ye Han join?"

But her thoughts were cut short as a blue-haired girl entered her office. "Is Ye Han here?" Turning her attention towards the newcomer, she couldn't help but put a slight glare on her face. 'What does this girl want?'

"Yes, he's here. He is currently resting and I appreciate if you don't disturb him." She said asserting dominance over her.

But the girl did not back down either. "This is of utmost importance. And I also appreciate if he wakes up, 'MA'AM.'" The girl put a much heavy emphasis on the last word which made the woman's eyebrow raise slightly.

'Is she challenging me?'

The two females stared at each other fiercely. No one wanted to back down. Their Mexican standoff was forced into a halt when a student entered. "Do you have any headache medicines here?"

The fierce expression of both females changed rapidly like flipping a page of a book. "Yes dear. Just sit down there and wait for it."

The student sat down and waited for his medicine. After almost a minute the doctor handed him the medicine.

With a bow, the student took the medicine and went out. As soon as the student was gone, the two females continued their face-off.

"What business do you have with Ye Han?" The doctor tried probing for answers.

But it proved to be futile as the blue-haired student just replied with, "It's none of your business."

"None of my business?!" The woman raised her voice.

This caught the girl off-guarded. "Huh? Why do you care?"

"Of course I care!" The look on the woman's eyes was very much alike to a mother bear protecting her cub. Seeing that look, the girl has no choice but to reveal some details.

"It was last week, in the middle of the vacation. We were attacked and Ye Han was stabbed. I was so scared, he was bleeding all over. I thought he die-"

But before she could finish recounting her story, she was shocked to the doctor just jumped towards her and gripped her shoulder so tight. "How did this happen?!" Her eyes radiated an overprotective light.

Trembling, she decided to tell what exactly happened. "I was kidnapped. And the kidnappers used my phone to text him so that he will go to the place where I was kidnapped. But we were interrupted by another group of people. It turns out that the kidnappers just wanted to return something to him. It was the newcomers who were targeting him. The leader threw a badly beaten Ye Han and he proceeded to tell that his leader was looking for Ye Han. Then after that, all hell broke loose. He tried stabbing me, but Ye Han used himself to shield me."

By now, the woman was seething in anger. To think someone hurt someone precious to her.

"He was bleeding so much. Even if he can heal himself pretty quick but it was too much. I thought I'd lose him." The girl cried.

"Who did this?" The woman's voice sounded scary.

"They're all dead. I killed them. And I don't regret it. If I could protect him, even if I bath in blood and step on countless corpses I'd do it." Hearing the girl's determined declaration, the woman shot her an approving glance.

"So why are you here today?"

"I know that Ye Han's still being targeted. So I convinced grandma to teach him some self-defense to protect himself. I'm taking him to the manor so that he could pick the proper manual for him."

"I see, that's good."

Both women calmed themselves. They tried chatting with each other to relieve the earlier tension. After an hour of talking Ye Han, finally woke up. "What brings you here Akari?"

"Remember the time I said I'll be taking you out for dinner?"

Ye Han's sleepy face turned surprised then to happy. 'Is this my lucky day?!' "Let's go! What are we waiting for?"

Akari smiled at how enthusiastic Ye Han is. "Please excuse madam." Akari bowed towards Rose.

"Ufufufu. No need for formalities, just call me doctor Rose. We're already familiar with each other right?" Rose winked at her.

This made Akari's lips tug into a small smile. "Goodbye, Doctor Rose."

"Goodbye, mom! Let's go!"

Akari was surprised at how Ye Han addressed the doctor. But she decided to ask him later.

"Bye Ye Han. You too Akari." Rose waved her hands.

When the two went out the doctor's expression turned serious. "Don't worry Ye Han, mommy's here to protect you. No one will harm you ever again." She then took a portrait and looked at it longingly. It depicted a happy family of two. A mother and a son. The woman in the picture was undoubtedly her. But the most peculiar thing is the child. He looked like Ye Han, only much younger and with no eyepatch. He had the same white hair and delicate features.
