13 Chapter 12: Trip to Klyntar

Controlling his superhearing to not listen to Deadpool and Tonjas talk, Ethen tries to remain ignorant, as the three of them enter the temple. Just as empty as before, the whole place still feels ancient.

Seeing Tonja's and Wade's talk come to an end, he asks the skull. ''So, we have a Stark to make my armor what comes next? The dwarfs? Or the Symbiote?''

Having her emotions once again under control, Tonja advises. ''I would advise we first collect the armors materials before we do anything else.''

Telling Pool his decision Ethen says. ''Head the Symbiote it is.''

''Yeah, I got that. The only problem is, which symbiote do you want to use? If you just want a symbiote we can go to Carlton Drakes 'Life Foundation' in San Francisco and you can pick one, but if you want not a Symbiote, but THE Symbiote, we will have to go to Klyntar the Symbiote homeworld.''

Understanding Pools point, Ethen say. ''I don't want A armor, but THE armor.''

''I get that. I also don't really get why every superhero ever always changes to another version of his or her costume, expecting the viewer not to notice.'' Comments the skull, but gets totally ignored by everybody.

Not wanting to analyze the skulls ramblings, Tonja says. ''So that means we are going to Klyntar?''

Looking at her with a complicated expression Ethen says. ''I guess so.''

Having a huge smile on her face, Tonja pushes her emotions aside and focusses simply only on the development armor, saying. ''Great. I already wanted to test out my Mark III outer space capabilities!''

''Okay, great! Now please someone place me on that altar and I can start searching for a timeline where Knull is at his strongest.''

''Who is Knull?'' Asks Ethen as he places the skull on the altar.

''Knull, in the beginning, was an ancient malevolent deity whose existence predates the universe itself, original content with simply drift through the endless Void. Now he is known as God of a Forgotten Idea, God of the Forge, God of the Symbiotes, God-Host, Lord of the Abyss, The Abyss, The First God of the Abyss and The Black King...'' Begins Wade to explain, while searching for a fitting reality. ''... At some point, his creation the Symbiotes were able to rebel against their creator, just like Skynet against humanity... And now he is imprisoned inside Klyntar by the Symbiotes since they are unable to kill their creator.''

Curious Tonja asks. ''So how strong is Knull then?''

''He is beyond your comprehension!'' Deadpool states.

Irritated by the answer Tonja asks again. ''How are we then supposed to beat him?''

''There is no we...'' Declares Pool, explaining. ''... Only Ethen might be able to kill him.''

Already suspecting that I would have to be him that faces this Knull, Ethen asks. ''What are his abilities?''

''As the primordial god of darkness, Knull possesses a Divine Physiology with superhuman attributes and powers far exceeding those of humans and even most other deities.

Aside from that, he has also existed for at least 13.7 billion years, having come into existence prior to the beginning of the universe itself. Therefore he is older than the genesis of concepts such as life and death, making him Immortal. Aside from these two he also possesses a high Regenerative Healing Factor and is capable of Shapeshifting.

He also is an Expert Combatant, despite not possessing any formal training, Knull is a vicious warrior with billions of years' worth of combat experience, capable of slaughtering entire armies of gods singlehandedly...'' Answers Deadpool Knull's history before getting interrupted by Tonja.

''That is just sick! How is anybody supposed to combat that?!''

''These are only the most common versions of Knull in the multiverse...'' Explains Deadpool, Ignoring Tonja freaked out and fearful expression. ''... I am searching for his most powerful version. I am looking for a universe where Knull's Symbiote Empire was able to conquer all existence. That version of him would in addition to the aforementioned powers be in the possession of a Symbiote Armor and the Proto-Symbiote Sword All-Black.

The weapon's main purpose is the killing of Celestials, gods, and other cosmic entities and as such, it is capable of bypassing their immortality and affecting them as though they were mortal. As an extension of this, All-Black feeds off and draws its strength from the blood of gods it kills, and the more gods killed by it or its creations the more power it can provide its host.

Havings slaine all gods in its universe you may be able to imagine how powerful that Sword and its wielder may have become.''

''Any weakness?'' Asks Ethen with a grim face, not really wanting to fight someone like this.

''Oh, naturally he has a weakness. It also so happens that his weakness is your strength. Knull is vulnerable to a metaphysical force he refers to as "the Light", which came into being with the Big Bang and was spread through the Abyss by the Celestials. The Light manifests as concepts such as honor, benevolence, and nobility; and physically as the divine power wielded by gods.''

Irritated Ethen asks.''How the hell is all that my strength? And how do you know all this in the first place?''

Smirking the skull tells him. ''Don't you have that Supercharge ability? Oh, and I am not telling!''

''How strong do you think I can get? Also, I don't even want to talk about the two most obvious flaws...'' Shouts Ethen angry at the skull.

Not being able to follow the conversation anymore Tonja asks. ''What flaws? Isn't your supercharger ability strong enough?''

Looking at Tonjas innocent and quite cute looking face, Ethen explains to her. ''Super charge has two inherent flaws. First I would have to destroy a galaxy to even enter it. Second, my cells are not meant to absorb a suns total energy, so I am not able to remain in Supercharge for more than an hour.''

Bobbing her head to the side, Tonja asks contemplating Ethen's words. ''How strong would you be for that hour?''

''I would guess strong enough to destroy a Universe. Not an entire Multiverse, but a single Universe should be possible.'' Ethen says, unable to not answer this cute looking woman.

''How about this...'' Deadpool says while opening the Multiverse gate. ''... This is an empty Universe. All its mass and energy is focussed into this one Super-Sun. With no living beings in existence, you can absorb all the universes energy and guild free enter Supercharge!''

While Deadpool, Ethen, and Tonja are preparing for their trip to Klyntar, Captain Marvel aka. Carol Danvers has already reached her Spaceship and is currently scrolling through the Kree archives in search of the markings of the seal she found back on earth.

Coming up empty in her research, she tries to remember anything related to the story she had heard back in her childhood. Focussing entirely on her memories, she suddenly remembers something. Happy to have found another leade aside from the mysterious symbol, she enters a new topic into the search engine. -Legend of the Kiln-

Confirming her search, Carol is instantly taken aback as only one short article comes up as a possible match. Reading through the article, she remembers the Legend about the 'Kiln of Genesis' she had heard in the past. In addition to refreshing her memories, Carol also learns of a prophecy referenced in the footnotes.

The prophecy talks about a Champion without destiny, his Twin Warrior Queens and his eternal Watch over the 'Kiln of the Genesis'.

Unsure what Champion might be a reference of, Carol searches the term and gets a relatively clear definition.

- Champion: A honor unique to those who that are Free of Destiny. Other terms of reverence suffer the stains of their holders, the lingering baggage of office and entitlement. But the champion is not an appointment that can be sought. It cannot be owned or willed, and the process by which it is bestowed is not argued through policy or guile. It is earned with blood and sweat and leadership in times of great turmoil. Always worthy, as their deeds are of true importance, a champion is greeted not by debate, but by nods of reverence.-
