27 Fishy

As we entered Sue turned to me and whispered" The owners are french, do you know a few words?" I nodded and replied" I speak french fluently."

What a joke of course I know how to speak french, I was french in my past life! Sue looked at me in surprise and said" That's good, you won't be lost then." I nodded and finally spend attention to my surroundings.

The restaurant looked very classy, but simple. The walls were mainly blue, deep blue, along with some white colored designs. It was really good looking and it reminds me of France. I should go back there later in the future.

I then heard voices and looked. Sue was greeting a handsome man in his twenties, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He pecked her cheek and they began speaking, ignoring me. Well the guy ignored me.

I would have been quite angry with the peck if I didn't knew that this was the way to great female friends in France. After a few seconds Sue turned to me and said in french" Guillaume, this is my new friend Mason, he will eat with me."

Guillaume nodded and extended his hand with a smile" Hello Mason, nice to meet you. Please take care of Sue." I took his hand and smiled but internally I was disgusted, his smile was fake, and I checked with Haki, he is nothing but a jealous bastard.

I shook his hand and replied in french with a smile too" You've got a nice restaurant." My smile widened when I felt him trying to crush my hand. I was tempted to literally crush his, but today I would be eating in his restaurant so I just continued smiling.

But I could see some shock in his eyes, I wondered, does people cry in pain when he does that? I left his hand and turned to Sue and said in English" Let's go sit." She nodded with a smile, unaware of the previous confrontation.

She said" Yes, I'm hungry." Guillaume nodded and said" Follow me." But as we walked he asked" Sue, I heard you broke up with reed? I am pained to hear that." Sue sighed and said" Yes, the last two months we were always screaming at each other so I decided to stop there instead of finding him with another woman or me the opposite."

Guillaume's eyes seemed to shine when he heard that, and he looked at Sue with lust, when dense as she was she saw nothing. But I don't know what bothered me more between that and the fact that he looked at me dangerously.

We soon arrived to two closed doors guarded by two giants, both two meters tall and obviously well trained. They both looked impassive as they opened the doors and let Sue and Guillaume in, but they stopped me.

So that explains why he blinked to them. Sue, not paying attention, thought I was still with them as they closed the doors. I frowned at the two and said" Let me in, I am with her." One of the two shook his head and said" You can't pass."

I sighed and said" It's better for everyone if you just let me in." The two did not answer and only stood there. I cleared my throat and said" Sue, I'm blocked outside, a little help?"

But one of them snickered and said" The walls and doors are soundproof. Listen kid, I think you should just go home." I shook my head and said" Is that boss of yours an idiot? Does he really think Sue will see nothing?"

The two smiled and shrugged, so I said" Listen guys, I think you should let me pass, or you won't like how this will end." The one always talking replied" Sorry but we can't do that."

I sighed and said" You are good people, so I will try to not harm you." I took a step and tried to open the door, and the two tried to get a hold of me, but I simply backed a little, making them miss, and too one arm in each hand, and pulled.

I was too strong for them, so they could not stay in place. The two stumbled and fell on each other, leaving me alone in front of the door. I admit it, I had cheated as I used observation haki, but I did not want to take any risk.

Before I would use my haki the less possible because it would exhaust me quickly, but now I am much more relaxed with it. I could feel that inside the room Guillaume was having some impure thought and Sue had finally seen that I was missing.

I opened the doors, surprising both of them, and said" Sorry I had to go to the bathroom. Sue, let's sit." She nodded with a smile and sat. I looked at Guillaume in the eyes and saw some killing intent. Really? For a girl? Even gangsters only have killing intent when they see their friends get beaten.

This guy is shady. I ignored him and went to sit with Sue. I smiled at her and said" Let's choose. Is the food here good?" Sue nodded and said" Yeah most of those are specialties from France." I nodded and looked through the menu.

I said" Do you often come here?" Sue replied" I wouldn't say often, but once every two months I think?" I nodded and asked" How do you know him? No offense, but the two of you are from different worlds."

She nodded" Yeah I knew him because of my ex and his friend. You see the friend he started the company with is the leader of a country, so he often came here." I nodded, but internally I sighed. I now knew for certain who she is.

I quickly found my favorite dish in my past life, in French, Poisson au beurre blanc. I closed my menu and looked at Sue who was still choosing. I smiled and asked" I know a few good dishes, I can help you if you want."

Sue smiled and said" Thanks but no, I already know those, it's only that I want everything here." I nodded and said" I will pay, don't bother about the price, I got my pay not a long time ago and I don't really know what to do with my money."

She looked at me and asked" You're sure? I'm sure I can ask him to lower the price if you want." I nodded and said" I'm sure you can, but I'm fine with paying full price."

She nodded and went back to her menu. After a couple of minutes a waiter came in and took our command. When he left the room I said" Tell me, what do you know about the film?" Sue smiled and said" Well in the trailer they showed an adventurer, so it's seems good."

I smiled and asked" I would have never guessed that you would like adventure movies." Sue looked at a window and said" Yeah, adventure is something I like since I am little. My dream before was to either become an adventurer or an actress."

I replied" What brought you where you are then?" Sue smiled sadly and replied" Because I was a foolish little girl in love with someone much older and decided to do this to work with him. And it turned out that I am quite talented in what I do."

I took her hand, surprising her, but fortunately she didn't take it back, so I said" Do you regret?" She shook her head and said" I don't, I like what I am doing. And it's not like I could do those." I shook my head and said" I think you could become an actress. Damn, look at you, every producer would like to have you in their cast."

She shed a tear but laughed and said" Stop flirting asshole." I smiled and said" I'm not, you really are beautiful. As for adventuring, what holds you back?" I dropped her hand and waited for her answer.

She sighed and said" Lot of things, my brother, my career, money, skills…" I smiled and replied" Your brother is old enough to stay at home alone, the skills can be learned, and for money that's not a proble either."

She looked at me surprised and asked" Why wouldn't it be a problem? You saw where I live…" I frowned and said" First you will soon begin to work, and even then, soon I will work at Stark ind and trust me what I will bring will be enough to earn at least millions if not billions. So helping you wouldn't even put a dent in my wallet."

Sue laughed and said" You are really confident aren't you?" I smiled and said" Why do you think they hired me so quickly? I am skilled and probably the best in what I do." Sue said" Then you will work for the famous Iron Man in the future?"

I rolled my eyes and said" I don't care about him, I probably only talk to him once or twice in years." Sue nodded and our dishes arrived. They also brought a bottle of wine, a Bordeaux. As they left she took the bottle and asked" You want some?"

I shook my head and said" I am still 16, I can't." Sue rolled her eyes and said" Come on." I smiled but still shook my head" I don't drink, but drink if you want." Sue smiled mischievously and said" I won't drink this alone. Either you drink this with me or I don't drink at all and miss this good wine, I hope for you I won't take it too badly…"

I groaned" Fine, let's drink." Sue yelped and poured me a drink and filled her glass. We toasted and drunk our glass. The wine was really good, but this was the first time this body ever tasted alcohol so it wasn't as good as it could be.

I quickly emptied my drink and poured myself another, and Sue's too so I put some more into her glass as well. But I did not drink and said" Let's drink slower, we wouldn't want to get drunk." Sue shook her head and said" But I want to be drunk."

I sighed and asked"Why would you want that?" Sue looked at her glass and said" It helps when you are sad." I looked at her eyes and asked" Are you sad being here with me?" She panicked and hurriedly said" No of course not! It's only…"

I interrupted her and said" I'm joking, I understand. But alcohol really isn't a solution. So let's drink like on any normal day. If in the end we get drunk then it's fate." Sue looked at me weirdly and said" You sound like an old geezer, I feel like I am the younger one here."

I feigned being angry and said" I'm not an old man, how can you say that? You are breaking my heart, again." Sue laughed and began to eat. I did too and I have to admit that despite the poor reception the food was good.

In the end we took our time and got out of the restaurant ten minutes before the beginning of the movie. I was completely fine because of my immune system, but Sue had drunk a little too much. But only a little so she was fine, she just was… more open I would say. Well slightly drunk.
