1 Intro

I knew I was dying.

My partner was trying to stop the bleeding, but it wasn't working. We had finally eliminated most of the Academy. A place where it traumatized me and my friends through its horrendous ways of 'teaching'. We had undergone so much grief from loss of our companions from the organization. And I finally had my revenge.

I looked up at Mitch, my companion, who was silently crying. He also knew there was no saving me. I was shot through the stomach, my wings that were covered in ink black feathers, were ripped off. My body riddled with scars and bullet holes. My eye sight was long gone because of torture. But I was ok with that.

"It's alright". I said

"No, it's not ok! We were supposed to finish this together!" Mitch said. He looked at me with his blood streaked face and eyes full of tears. His wings that looked like a bats were also torn into tatters hanging on the membranes of what's left of the wings. With most of our team like so, I knew they need to stop worrying about me and leave.

"We need to go," said Neer, our appointed leader.

"She's right", I sighed.

"No! Just hang on. We could get you to a doctor!" Mitch said in hysterics. Though he also knows no doctor could, nor would operate on me. We were identified as 'The hive' and were labeled to the general public as a group who were hell bent on destroying the country. With leaked photos of our group, they all knew who we were.

"We need to move!" Yelled Neer.

"No! We can't leave Xeal!" Mitch yelled again. He was trying to stop the bleeding from my wound with no avail. I turned and looked at Neer and smiled. "Hand me 'that'". She nodded and handed me the bomb.

"Don't you dare! I will not leave you! D**n it",Mitch swore. I took a glance at Dominic. He sighed and chopped his neck. With Mitch out, Neer lifted him and put him on her shoulder. She then tossed me the launcher. She smiled a sad smile, with guilty eyes.

" You know it wasn't anyone's fault. We knew some of us or all of us would die. But it needed to be done." I smiled.

Neer grimaced and I laughed. " I knew I looked like sh!t, but is it really that bad", I said laughing still. But I had to stop and cough. I felt the blood dripping down my chin.

Neer still had tears in her eyes. She bent down and put her forehead to mine and said " if there is a god or something out there, I hope we will meet again" she whispered. She pulled back with tears in her own eyes. I put my hand on her neck were her tattoos lied, that traveled from her skull to her shoulder. I knew she wouldn't cry because if she broke down now, no one would leave. I looked into her eyes, trying to convey to her it's alright. She seemed to understand my gaze.

"Let's move out!" She said as she stepped away. She hoisted Mitch up one last time and walked off with the remainder of our team. Dominic looked back also silently with tears streaming down his face before sprinting with the group to get out of here before it blew apart.

I sighed looking around in the room. This room was filled with many memories. None of them good, and it makes my blood boil for what they have done. With their inhumane experiments with animal genetics and their testing on us with those same genetics that they mutated. My body and mind are full of scars that they inflicted. It was filled with the many mutations they used on me. My companions were taken to the academy by force, along with me. But they were candidates to be students because of their high intelligence, strength, or they had a mix of both. Meanwhile, I was brought in with the term of SN 133. When we first arrived everyone thought that it was special, considering there was 20 people picked out of the 100 students they brought in for their first semester.

But who new that we were just test subjects for their experiments. The truth of this finally set in when we found that SN and the number actually means specimen number __.

I was pulled out of my memory when I heard approaching foot steps of the academy's back up.

They smirked and where about to say something but I gave them no chance. Their eyes once full of mockery and loathing instantly turned into fear, when they saw the plunger I held. Now it was my turn to laugh as I presses the button. It just made my day to see the scumbags trying to flea. Though I couldn't watch anymore as the room filled with explosions and fire, I still kept up my laughter and smirked because this was the end for them.
