The Green Tide Arrives

The wall of guns rain red lights of shimmering brightness that illuminate the night. Flashes of crimson lining that shot whatever direction that meets its target. Castor had a hard time firing at the enemy but when he puts it on full auto. He can perfectly see the grotesques ork in the darkness. Using his lasgun as a flashlight to compensate for the lack of vision. Staton on the other hand, had it rough, seeing the greenskins in the dead of night. They moved so fast; he could barely make a good shot.

Fortunately, we have the artillery to deal the heavy damage. Orks spraying their shootas and Dakkagunz at the guard. The ones that were unlucky to fall victim to these crude yet effective weaponry is one guardsman poking his head up high enough to have his head punctured with multiple holes. It was total mayhem whenever you fight the orks. Then, Sgt. Anya got out of cover and made a dash towards Lt. Korey's position. I don't know if she's gone mad but I know she has something to tell the Lieutenant.

"Cover a path for the Sargeant!" Castor yelled as he orders the rest of his squad.

"You heard the man! Cover fire!" Domitian relayed my message.

Everyone kept on firing in full auto as I clutch the trigger of my lasgun in a frenzy while staton didn't shoot but fire only in precise shooting. Whenever Staton fires his longlas, it usually would be the one or two rounds of per shot. Each shot is being a perfect head-shot. He ain't a sniper for nothing. I was glad to have him in our squad, despite his introvert nature.

Surprisingly, he notice that there are less orks than he'd usually expected. Perhaps they're attention would be towards the Commissar. Guardsman after Guardsman, died one by one as the bodies pile up by the dozens. We won't hold for much so long as the basilisk continue their barrage. At the same time a fusillade of bright lasers flash through the twilight of dread.

15 minutes later

The ork tide has been increasing each minute that pass. My lasgun is almost overheated due to the repeated blast of red lasers beaming. The heavy bolters are running out of bolts to fire. The basilisk are still throwing volley after volley of shells but eventually they too would also be dried out of ammunition. Things aren't going to his favor until he hears a dozen of Valkyrie gunships flying behind them.

He turns around and sees a jubilee look on Sgt. Anya's face. They shelled the hell out of the orks as it rains napalm. A fiery wave of heat lit the whole battlefield. Offering Staton good visualization as he can discern which ork is dangerous.

"Reinforcements! The Cadian Shock troops have arrive! Emperor be with us, we have not been forsaken!" Lt. Korey reveled as he orders the basilisk to continue raining hell on earth.

Once the gunships landed and with it a swarm of elite guardsman came running at the trenches in the dead of night. A total of 9 gunships were dropped near them as they unload some heavy equipment with them. But they were still under fire by the orks, hence the Hadrian's then gave way suppressing fire to cover their Cadian comrades.

An endless wave of beaming hot lasers stream across the horde of orks but the amount of orks were still less than what was expected. Castor was even surprise that the orks didn't even deployed their choppas or something on the lines. Nevertheless, the more we flash through darkness, the deader their enemy will be. replacing, his power pack with a fresh one, then set to full auto. Finally, shoot that f*ckin' mushroom.

"Lt. Korey, it is nice to meet you here. I am Captain Gavinski Zack. Greetings." The Cpt. exits the Valkyrie in as he spoke in a cold tone yet reaches his hand towards the Lieutenant. Korey responded by shaking the captains hand.

"Salutations to you too, Cpt. Zack, I appreciate the help you've given me and my platoon."

"Oh don't be, I've received orders from HQ that we are setting a temporary base near the valley. We're just here to pick up the basilisk artillery."

"Then when shall we move?" Korey inquired.

"Right when the greenskins are done fanboying towards us. I've also prepared heavy flamers, if you don't mind?"

Behind Aeldari lines.

Autarch Frakon killed approximately 42 orks that breached within Headquarters yet there were still hundreds upon hundreds of this fiends still running about. He was covered in blood as it dries within the heavy aspect armor he wore. The brutes managed to destroy their webway gate that leads directly to their Craftworld and now the 3,000+ Aspect warriors are now stranded.

Speaking of Aspect warriors, many of whom from different shrines, participated in the ordeal have been holding off fine, for now. It was a blood bath on both sides as each party received multiple loses. Frakon can still fight but what about his warriors? Wouldn't they tire till they drop to the earth and have their soul stones be taken by the filthy hands of the greenskins.

The dire avengers are the ones that take up the bulk of the fight since they are the most prominent. Howling Banshees slice through the orks that dare come close, whilst the Striking scorpions tear the greenskins like a butcher. Soaring through the air are the Swooping Hawks as the they Blast through the battlefield above the skies from whence they came. An Exarch from the Swooping Hawks came to me as she ask for my guidance.

"Order the Aspect warriors from all the shrines to withdraw melee and retreat as soon as the Vampire Raiders arrive. Have the Dire Avengers and your Swooping Hawks by us enough time for the rest to be extracted." Autarch Fakon wearily relayed his commands.

"Yes, my Autarch." The Exarch bows then flew towards the rest of his comrades.

He can't let the Greenskins and the Mon'Keigh to win. So he'll have to retreat for the time being because he estimate that the majority of the Greenskins have been prying their attention to the Aeldari but not the Mon'Keigh. Perhaps they have not notice them and they are solely focused on his force. Then Frakon hears the voice of a familiar name.

Beyond the wave of a massive green tide. A large silhouette standing out from the many Orks that pass it. That gargantuan figure was undoubtedly their warboss. Frakon acknowledge the presence of the stupendous Ork as he stomps the ground. Leaving cracked footprints that the hard ground can not handle the hefty Greenskin.

He was about to flung himself at the warboss, but before he could plunge his power sword inside of its throat. He restrained himself from the rage of Khaine to not slay the Ork warboss yet. For it was too useful in his plans. Killing him would be a nuisance as the Mon'Keigh would only wipe out the Greenskins once he erase this abomination.

Perhaps, if somehow, he can make a temporary truce between the Mon'Keigh if he offers a 'helping hand'. If you want to call it that. Once the Ork infestation has been eradicated, I would turn my back on the Mon'Keigh when the greenskins have depleted their numbers. If Frakon can trick the fools then an ape wouldn't even notice it as bait. He sneers at the thought of it as he retreats with the rest of his kin.

Aemylth stood at the destroyed landing platform as she struggles to grab the soul stones of her fallen comrades. She takes a total of only 2 soul stones of 1 poor Dire Avenger that had the ceiling crash on top of him and her fellow Howling Banshee who died trying to save the Dire Avenger. Holding them tightly as she makes a run for it to the Vampire Raiders that have just arrived.

Whilst running towards the transports. She hops inside along with the rest of her Howling Banshee squad. Standing in front of the cargo door, Aemylth was contemplating what she'll do for the time being. Then the appearance of Castor starting running towards her — his face was not of fear of cowardice nor was it rage.

But a face of jubilance as if he was happy to see her again. She reached her hand slowly towards the man. When the doors were shut closed, he disappeared from her sight. Aemylth shook her head and finds a vacant seat. Sitting down to ease the stress of fighting numerous Orks, then she felt something hard on her waist. She looks down and noticed the carved wooden figure that Castor fellow made.

Scrutinizing the wooden silhouette, displaying it in front of her as she takes off the Banshee mask. Allowing her visibility to be more clear. Staring at the wooden figure for what she left like an eternity till she spot an uneven dent on the figure. Disturb by this, Aemylth borrows a knife from her fellow Banshee. The latter hands her a sharp edge cutter as she accepts it. Thanking her. Now that she has something to work with and take her mind out whilst they fly to their Craftworld. Working her way to perfect it until she notice it's face was reminiscent to hers. But she shrugs it off and will think about it later. Still, despite the Mon'Keighs crude carving skills, it still brought her a tendering face.

BOOM!

Something exploded at the starboard side of the gunship. It started shaking uncontrollably as the lights turned an iridescent red. The pilot screamed to brace ourselves as he was hurtling to make a safe landing. Aemylth grapples at the poles as she clench both her fist tightly. One holding the pole while she embraces the wooden figure. Then everything went blank.

"Alright, pack it up! We've got 2 minutes to leave this joint and meet up with the rest of the 1st Company!" Lt. Korey bellowed at the platoon as the flamers deal with the Ork spores.

Once Lt. Korey conveyed his orders, every guard in the platoon began departing via Valkyrie gunship or chimera transport that were carried by the gunships. They used hard-steel chains that the tech-priest ingeniously produced. Cpt. Zack was overseeing the evacuation process as he walks with his entourage of Cadians walking beside him. Then a Skitarii ranger came to him and reported an anomaly 4 km away from them. The captain draws in his binoculars and looks at the direction where the men pointed at.

"Lieutenant!" Captain Zack called out to Korey.

"Yes, sir. What is it that you require?" The Lieutenant replied.

"Have 3 of your personnel to scout 4 km over there." Zack pointed out with the tip of his gloved finger.

"Right away sir but what for? We're already leaving, whats so important to even sent people there? The orks are would outrun us if we stay any longer." Korey exclaimed, unsure to the reason for the Cpt. to send his people to such dangerous environments.

"No need to worry Lieutenant, I have 3 bikes ready in case for reconnaissance. I've heard that your regiments is profound in riding motorized vehicles that would require one person a month to master. As for the reason why, we believe that an eldar craft has crash near our general vicinity. Hence why I need your troops to search if there are any eldar that would prove useful to be useful, Lt." Cpt. Zack justified his reason to dispatch a scouting party. Lt. Korey agrees and sends Cpl. Castor Lorr, Brodrick Nesin and finally Clodius Hayden.

When Castor heard that his Lieutenant gave him orders to scout the a specific place — my first thought was why would they send people out in there just to capture or steal any eldar that survived. It doesn't matter if it is eldar or not. I'm not going die whilst my comrades leave here out in the open but orders are orders and I must adhere to it. Brodrick wasn't as reluctant as me, so as the other fella from a different squad.

We then headed towards the place where our superiors orders us to go. Don't what we'll find but I'm sure by the Emperors ballsack that this small team would be wiped out by the time they leave us. All we have to do is find whatever that scraps is in the wreckage then we'll bounce out of there.

"Throne of terra, I hope this is worth my life." Castor hissed grumpily as he pulls the promethium gas pedals. And so they are off to whatever lies ahead in the bleak darkness in the dead of night.

So yeah, I decided to make a different writing style and I'm really sorry it was cut short. I have trouble pacing the story so maybe by next week perhaps, I'll might just get it even longer than before but this time it should be short since I'm already tired writing my other series -_-

Very sorry but once I keep everything in check then I'll might make longer. So for now, lets stick with this one.
