50 The Race for Exalted Position

Perfectly honest Yumiko was going instinctually for the past couple of days.

Her life has become very strange.

She is still trying to catch up with all the changes happening to her.

For one, she can do crazy stuff. Flying, electrifying, burning things.

Then she can throw a punch, like a professional boxer. Followed by cats loving her. Yep, they love her. Just yesterday she passed through the animal store and all the cats bowed to her.

That was a great reminder of what was happening to her. Then she freaked out her parents. Who learned about her from a government agent.

It was a crazy episode. However, they quickly got over it the moment they learned about government benefits. Yep… if you can't get out then look at the bright side of all the things you will get from a bad situation.

Well, at least that's how she is processing this situation and getting over it.

Weirdly enough her parents are taking this better than her.

Regardless, she was back to school, it should be just another day, but when she saw Raynor and the devil-in-disguise idol sitting in their seats it made her remember that normal days were over for her.

The illusion of normalcy was just that, an illusion. There are these Heretic Gods who descend to cause chaos because of a mix and match of cultures. It's especially active now when humanity is mixing its cultures all over the world.

Over the past couple hundred years seven Kings appeared, seven Godslayers who are killing Heretic Gods.

Yeah, when she knows the truth it should stop her being relaxed no matter what.

And yet, she is… relaxed, the reason was that it was Raynor's job, and he had already done it several times. He killed several Gods and even turned a Goddess into a subordinate.

Now that she learned this from a different angle, she can understand the sheer arrogance of a God as she has met one. That meeting… is something she is still processing.

Simply put she learned the 'real' reason behind natural phenomena.

"Yumiko~"

Raynor's voice brought her back. She sighed internally, this whole thing was not her cup of tea.

And no she is not talking about the supernatural, she is talking about the fact that she is now part of Raynor's group! Yes! She has to follow him and not people following her!

It makes her uncomfortable being not in control!

"Morning." She greeted him back, and the blonde walked over to his side and gently kissed him on the cheek, well she tried to but she ended up kissing him on the lips because he moved his head right at the specific moment.

Internally she rolled her eyes at his behaviour, no matter how much she tried to get him under control she was failing badly at this.

It's slowly sinking into her that it's pointless.

He does whatever he wants, she was told about this by his knights and the Miko girl.

But only now is settling in, that he truly can do whatever he wants.

After the kiss was over, Yumiko needed to pull back because it was getting too heated! Something she doesn't want in this kind of location!

As she pulled back several girls were looking at her with wide eyes. They didn't expect Queen Bee to be this bold!

Such a reaction made the blonde blush even more. Raynor's followers just smiled at her expense.

'Goddamn it! They just keep on making me embarrassed like this!'

'So, it's her character development arc now. I suppose it makes sense since she just joined his harem. At least the plot is following its proper procedures.' Hikigaya Hachiman monologues what he had just seen next to him.

The fiery blonde Queen Bee has fallen for the main character and now her character development arc has started.

At least this is what the loner is thinking, well only time will tell since he knows that his companion in this observation, Yui Yuigahama is watching it closely.

His gaze went down as he saw the nice girl was blushing up a storm as well. It appears the girl will be questioning the Queen Bee.

So Hikigaya is certain he will have his answers soon.

For now, he will continue his watch and learn.

"Oh wow. You have a whole bookshelf of light novels and manga!" Ebina Hina rushed over to the bookshelf in the Service club.

Hikigaya Hachiman's expression was that of annoyance, this corner and the bookshelf were his Eden after the classes! Now he has to share with the perv Yaoi lover!?

Since Yumiko Miura joined Raynor's harem it was natural that the Queen Bee would be part of the club! After all, wherever Raynor goes his girl follows. At least that's how it is.

"Since you are here this means you are part of the club?" Yukino is still playing her role as the president of the club. So she has to ask.

The pair were whispering to each other. This makes Ebina wonder how hard the blonde fell for the 'mysterious' Prince or more precisely the King.

"Good, then fill up the form." Yukino, like the good administrator she was, pulled out a form from somewhere.

"...O-Okay…"

'What I am getting myself into?'

"Oh, this is nice! Ebina-chan is joining us~!" Yui happily walked over to the new admission.

"...Umm…I don't know. I feel that I am writing my life away…"

"Don't worry! It will be fun!" As Yui said that she looked around and got closer to the Yaoi girl and proceeded to whisper to her.

"Hiki and I are watching closely how the novel plot advances!" The nice girl whispered in a hushed voice.

"...Novel…plot?"

"Yeah! Didn't you realise how strange it is?" Yui said that while looking at Raynor who had Yumiko on his lap. Sadly the Idol had to return to her duties as… the idol.

"Valeron being the strange foreigner with a mysterious background, having a harem and everything just working out for him. Doesn't it look strange?"

Yui's explanation made something in Ebina just crack…everything fell into place.

Now that her friend explained, it did make sense!

"...You are on to something."

Ebina's eyes gleamed with desire for knowledge! To know more! Her life just turned…exciting! Her friend is an active member of a possible book-turned-real life!

Now she truly needs to talk with Yumiko about this! This is glorious!

After thinking for a bit the glasses girl wrote down all she needed and decided to join this club! This is for the greater good!

Once she was done, the Yaoi girl fixed her glasses and there was a silly grin on her face.

The material she is going to get for this is amazing!

'No doubt we are in some pseudo-supernatural light novel with lemon scenes! I need to record everything and then release it in book format! I will be rich! Imagine people's reactions when I say this is based on real events!'

Ebina started to lewdly giggle as she imagined all the things! That's right! Yumiko already told her that Raynor does all those naughty things!

It's only a matter of time!

"...Ebina?"

"Hmm? What is it?" The glasses girl frowned at her friend, why did Yui bring her back from her delusions!?

"You are drooling." The nice girl pointed at the drool falling on the floor.

"Oh! Crap!" The girl swiftly cleaned after herself before looking at her friend.

"Anyway! Let me fill up the form!"

There is rarely a quiet moment in a Rom-com setting like the school Raynor was in.

Well, not a quiet moment in a regular way, not a supernatural one, as the school was mundane but there were a lot of things going on.

Like for example the upcoming Student Council President elections. Something Raynor will learn about in person.

As the Godslayer was playing Mortal Kombat with Hikigaya, the doors opened up with a small bang.

This was the signature move of Hiratsuka-sensei.

"Hiratsuka-sensei at least knock when you are coming in," Yukino said with a sigh. She was reading a book on mythos, and hearing video games in the background was already annoying but now she has to get over the obnoxious behaviour of a teacher!

"Relax Yukinoshita! I have a new assignment for Service Club!" The teacher was extra happy with how rapidly this club was growing! She is ignoring the obvious reasons that it was Raynor's doing and his shenanigans, and focusing on the positive things.

"Alright."

Hiratsuka pulled a girl into the room. The one who reacted to the new girl was Yumiko who was reading a book as well. Well, the blonde Queen Bee was reading a book on Athena of all things.

This was because of the meeting she had with that Goddess, it has left a mark on her and now she is interested in learning more about this arrogant Goddess.

"Iroha!?"

The flaxen girl waved her hand to Yumiko, Yukino and the rest. The girl's eyes went to Raynor who was still playing with the PlayStation, her eyes stayed on him for a bit before she looked back at Yumiko and Yukino who were sitting at the table.

The rest of the Service club have spread out through the room. Like Liliana who was with the writer girl Utaha, the pair were discussing writing styles.

The other girls like Ena and Erica were closer to Raynor and sitting on the couch doing their things.

"Hehe…Yumiko-senpai, have you joined this club? Well, not a surprise there~" The foxy girl looked at the Queen Bee and then at Raynor.

She has heard about this juicy gossip about the Queen falling into the trap of the Harem King and him having his way with the blonde!

Though she has no idea how exaggerated this story is in truth. However, she has the general idea! This means Hayama is free for all!

"What does that supposed to mean?" Yumiko narrowed her eyes for a second. She almost—ALMOST revealed how 'electrifying' she can be.

Something she picked up from the idol who liked to mention 'electrifying' quite a bit.

"Nothing~"

"You can tease them later Isshiki-san, for now, tell them about your issue."

"Okay~"

The girl nodded and then proceeded to explain.

"...Well, you know that Student Council president elections are coming soon, and the current one Shiromeguri-senpai is leaving the position to focus on her studies and exams.

So… somehow I ended up as one of the candidates…so…I would like to elegantly lose the race."

"...Elegantly?" The girls looked confused when they heard the word.

"She means lose but lose without losing reputation." The teacher explained with a frown.

"...Did you just say 'Student Council President'?" Raynor, who was deep into the game a couple of minutes ago, finally started to listen. His ears perked up when he heard 'Student Council President'!

"Yes?"

"The exalted position which is above Illuminati and you don't want it? Hell, I want to sign up!" Raynor stood up and clenched his fist. Such a position! How one wouldn't want to have it!? Above Presidents, above the Government! Above the Nations!

"Heh?"

"?"

"...?"

"..."

"...Valeron-san…I think you are reading too much manga recently…" Hiratsuki-sensei placed her hand on her forehead. She understood the reference… sadly she did.

However, Hikigaya looked at Raynor with disbelief, if he gets the position will he use his authority to make the Student Council President into a 'real' position? This school will dominate Japan!?

Will he do it!?

It sounds crazy but this guy is the freaking protagonist of a novel!

His background is mysterious and he holds massive influence over the government! The expression of his girls only proves Hikigaya's hypothesis!
