18 CHAPTER 18 : INTUITION

Akira stretched his arms and yawned as he walked towards the humming that was coming from the kitchen. He leaned on the door frame of the kitchen, watching Marley hum along to the song playing in her headsets as she flipped some pancakes on the stove.

He smiled to himself realizing how lucky he was to have her in his life. Every time he was around her it's like all his troubles just went away.

Marley turned around and saw Akira standing at the kitchen doorway smiling at her. She plugged out her headsets and smiled back at him.

"Morning." She greeted him and placed a pancake on each of the plates she'd laid out on the table. "Looks like someone had a good night."

Akira sat down at the table and threw a strawberry in his mouth. "I haven't slept that well in years actually." He responded.

Marley sat down across from Akira and poured him a glass of orange juice. "Yeah the bed head and streaks on your face tell it all."
