15 CHAPTER 15 : BLOODSHED

Marley and Cherlynn were having a pretty slow day at work. It had been pouring nonstop for hours, so they barely had any customers.

Marley was browsing through some memes on social media to pass the time. She chuckled at one and flipped her phone over to show her best friend.

Cherlynn was chewing on a pencil, completely lost in thought. She didn't even notice Marley practically shoving the phone in her face. Marley put her phone down and cleared her throat in an attempt to get Cherlynn's attention but it didn't work. She then picked up her phone and dialed in Cherlynn's number. The girl awoke from her day dream, grabbed her phone from her pocket and looked at it. She then eyed Marley and clicked her tongue in annoyance.

"Are you here with us Lynn. You know, on planet earth?" Marley questioned the girl.

"What?" Cherlynn responded, trying to collect herself. "Yeah of course. Just have a few things on my mind that's all."
