"Oh god, Edward. Couldn't you have just kept your lips sealed about me?" I groaned to myself.

"Well fine, what's done is done. So, lunch is going to be interesting?" I mused, which caused Edythe to let out an exasperated groan in response.

We managed to survive the first half, with Bella throwing occasional glances towards us. We responded in kind, Edythe spied on Jessica's thoughts and told me the response Bella had to yesterday's impromptu date with Edward.

She scoffed when Bella said she liked Edward more than he liked her and muttered "The girl has no idea, does she?"

"What do you mean by that?" I asked puzzled. Was it not something everyone thinks when they are in love? After all, no one can quantify love, so who can say how much anyone loves someone.

"Well, you remember how you likened our bodies to be crystallized bio-material of a stone like quality. Well, it continues to emotional level too."

"We are unchanging once we transform into vampires. On the rare occasion this situation does change, we transform to the pinnacle of it."

"For eg: love or affection for our supposed mate. When we fall in love, we fall really hard, possibly for the rest of our really long lives. Like I fell for you, the first day we met and I saw you at the cafeteria." Edythe explained.

"Oh, wow" I exclaimed softly "That was surprising, Edythe. But, I have not thought as far-"

Edythe interrupted me with a finger on my lips "You don't have to think of as far, Krishna. Honestly, we vampires live very long lives, hence we need to think about these stuff."

"But you, despite your fantastic powers, are still human, at least as compared to us. You can take your time with and relax, just because I feel this way does not mean you need to as well. I will wait for your feelings to take shape, whether they are for me or someone else." Edythe said in a quiet tone.

I wanted to tell her immediately that I loved her just as much she loved me. But I couldn't get the words out. A part of me wasn't sure about the depths of my feelings yet.

Moreover, unlike Vampire physiology, I couldn't be sure I would stay in love for ever like her. Hence, my decision needed to be after proper examination and time like she suggested.

I squeezed her hand "I don't know if I do love you or not, Edythe. But what I can say with absolute certainty, is that the way I feel about you surpasses anything I have felt till now. So I will wait, until the day I can say with complete surety that my feelings wont change. That day I will confess to you without having the slightest shred of doubt."

Edythe squeezed my hand back and gave me a smile. Once it was lunch time, we joined Edward and Bella at their table. Edward had piled up a mountain of food for Bella to eat, which she was looking at with a helpless expression. Deciding to help her out, I leaned forward and took up a pizza slice and a few pieces of fries.

"Looks like Edward's fattening you up, right Bella?" I joked.

"Seems like a punishment for saying my feelings out loud" she admitted while glaring at Edward, who just gave a half amused and half annoyed smirk in response. "So, why isn't Edythe as grumpy about you liking her as Edward is to me?"

"Well, mostly because he is more durable than you for starters" Edythe replied wile hugging my arm "Moreover, I have faith that he will be able to take care of himself, even if he was ever attacked by a berserk me."

"Oh ya, Edward said something about that" Bella remarked as she turned to me "You can absorb stuff right?"

"Well that is putting it simply." I said with a grin "more accurately, I mimic the properties of any material to generate cells of a bio-material similar to it."

"But after training with Edythe these past few weeks, I have been feeling my powers evolving. I might be able to mimic more stuff, maybe even energy and genes of other living beings. Or maybe even absorb stuff completely from others, if my powers keep getting stronger."

Bella's jaw fell open partially as she stared at me. But she was not the only one, Edward and Edythe also went as still as a statue beside me, just like the other Cullen's at their table. They soon forced themselves to move, however their stiffness betrayed their emotions.

After stuttering and mumbling for a few moments, Bella finally managed to speak out, "You mean you can still get stronger?"

"Oh yes," I said confidently "My powers are showing constant growth, as if stacking up with use. The increase is not noticeable immediately, however I am able to see it when comparing results after a certain amount of time. I have even managed to get a slight amount of success with absorbing the essence of liquids. Watch closely!"

I spilled a bit of water on the table discreetly and dipped a finger into it. After concentrating for a minute or two, I was finally able to find that hazy energy that I could now immediately find within every solid I touch.

Pulling a bit of that energy within me, I guided it to my heart. The energy was then rapidly multiplied and sent to all of my body.

Opening my eyes, I saw all three of them watching me carefully. I smirked and turned to Edythe "Can you smell me now Edythe?"

She was startled and immediately tried to sniff me, only to get more shocked "How is that possible? It's as if you are not even here. I only smell a faint scent of a lake or a tub filled with warm water."

"Well that is because I just absorbed energy of the essence of Water. Look, I can even manipulate it thanks to that." I gestured with my fingers as if manipulating puppets, making the spilled water slowly gather around to spell 'Edythe'.

"Oh wow, you are like a magician!" Bella exclaimed with shining eyes.

I chuckled at that before responding "Well, I now know what career to make out of my abilities. It is actually not such a bad idea Bella, hiding in plain sight."

She grinned sheepishly before turning to Edward, "That reminds me, I had a bunch of questions to ask you! You distracted me with Krishna on purpose, didn't you? Well you are not going to get away this time."

Bella then went on to interrogate Edward about everything, his ability of mind reading, his inability to consume human food, and many such topics.

Edward in return asked about her belief she had that she cared about him more than he cared about her. He also asked about her various plans regarding spring dance and prom.

Edythe and I had mostly zoned them out, holding hands and leaning back while talking in whispers. Edythe wanted to know my power limitations and we made plans to train and expand them.

Edythe and I got up and left the two lover birds to their own world as it was nearly time for the bell to ring.

The rest of the day was mostly boring, we somehow managed to make it through before getting ready for home. The only interesting thing was Edythe and me soundlessly flirting in the last desk in the bio lab, as there was only VCR Video for the next couple of days about some biology experiments.

Edythe and I spent most of the time training for the rest of the week. I had already submitted an application for self-study sometime back to the principal, and after he made me take the hardest test his teachers could devise, he had to reluctantly agree.

As a result, I was basically free to attend or skip classes whenever I wanted, as I just needed to ace the exams. The teachers too left me alone, what could they do in front of a near infallible comprehension talent.

On Saturday night, Edythe made me take a break and rest. She wanted me to meet her family on Sunday, as Edward was also bringing Bella. Though I had already more or less met her siblings and Carlisle, I still had to see her mom, Esme. Plus it would be good to see how Bella reacts to all this.

"So you will be coming with me tomorrow, right?" Edythe said while lying on me, slowly leaving a trail of kisses from the edge of my jaw, to my neck and down to my collar bone. Her slow and methodical seduction while gazing into my eyes sent shivers of pleasure down my spine.

"Yeah definitely," I breathed out as she gave a tinkling bell like laugh at my reaction and placed her hands on either side of my head before dragging her body upwards on me.

My breath hitched as the two mounds on her chest pressed flush against my chest, while her lithe and toned backside rested against my crotch.

I snaked my arms around her slim waist while capturing her lips with mine. Strands of her reddish bronze hair tickled my face as we kissed, covering me in gentle scent of fresh breeze and sandal wood.

She had stopped applying dye to her hair, which made it swiftly regain its original texture, color and scent within days.

Both of us were completely lost in our make out session, our kisses getting more passionate and intense.

However, midway through it, she stiffened slightly and pulled back slowly while holding me down with one hand.
