13 CH 13

"Hey love birds, you should try holding back you know," Emmett interrupted with a grin "A lot of the population of the cafeteria are looking towards you two with eyes that could kill. Even I am feeling like kicking you two out."

"Oh, to hell with you" Edythe said with derisive sniff "I still have haunting memories of the nights of February of 1962, thanks to you and Rosalie."

Edythe and Alice gave simultaneous quick shudders, while Jasper's eyes looked dull too. Rosalie glared at Edythe for a bit before turning to the side with a huff. Emmett just gave a throaty chuckle while putting and arm around Rosalie.

"Well, it was your fault for making that bet you know." Emmett told Edythe, while Rosalie slightly swatted Emmett on the chest, indicating him to shut up. "Anyway, you guys will be coming to the dance right?"

"Yeah I think so" I said while looking at Edythe who smiled back "Edythe has been teaching me dancing so I don't embarrass myself."

Rosalie looked surprised at that "Wow, never thought I would see the day 'Shadow Cat' would be teaching dancing."

"Rosalie.." Edythe growled out suddenly at that. Rosalie shut up promptly too, while sufferings glares from Edythe, Jasper and Alice. Even Emmett gave her a disappointed look and muttered 'Not cool, Rose.'

I could see it was a sore topic so I ignored it, while Edythe looked at me gratefully that I didn't ask about it. We discussed about classes, which Edythe said she won't be attending today.

"Why the abrupt bunking plan?" I asked.

"Well, they are going to be blood typing today. I heard as much from Carlisle, something about a blood drive being organized. All of us brothers and sisters will be skipping biology for the near future, not like we don't know anything they can teach. Us being away is safe, for obvious reasons." she said.

"The blood temptation and the fact that your skin cant be harmed anyway?" I asked with a smile

"Ding, Ding, Ding! We have a winner." Edythe chuckled as she leaned into me. I squeezed the hand we still had intertwined while thinking about what she said.

"I think I wont attend either" I said finally, realizing something I should have earlier.

"Why so?" Edythe asked.

"I also might not be human anymore remember?" I reminded her as her eyes widened "I don't think I should be giving my blood samples away like that."

"Good point" Edythe said in agreement "So I guess you will be skipping too huh? Any plans?"

"Hmm, I don't know" I replied "why don't we think of something together?"

"Sounds nice." Edythe purred in agreement.

While Edythe and I spent time making out in my car, Edward and Bella progressed a bit in their relationship as he dropped her home, after she fainted in the biology lab.

Poor Bella, I would have told her about the blood typing if I had known she was a fainter. But oh well, it turned out to be for the best anyway, they both got lot of time to talk at least.

The rest of the weekend turned out to be somewhat normal. Edward had taken Emmett out for a Hunt, so I got to sit between Edythe and Ice Queen Rosalie in the cafeteria.

If looks could be like bullets, then I would have been Swiss cheese. Edythe and I discussed about her staying over this weekend, while I suffered a few verbal jabs from Alice and Rosalie.

Teasing ones from Alice and awkwardly embarrassing ones from Rosalie. Bella invited me to the beach at La Push for the next day, but I apologized and turned her down.

I did feel bad for leaving her alone with Mike's group, but they didn't exactly like me and I would be a fool to leave a day with Edythe and go to the beach.

Edythe came over Friday night with an overnight bag. Though she could simply run home and be back within minutes, this felt more like a sleepover.

Since I no longer needed to hide from Edythe, I showed her my whole training routine along with my power training technique.

She too helped me train my transformation, through fighting against her. Though I gained some bruises and injuries initially, I soon got used to maintaining the transformation while fighting, even recovering from various injuries in the middle of the fight.

It also helped that I got an intense make-out session, as a reward if I did well, after each successful round of training. Hence, my grasp over my powers improved rapidly and soon I got used to quick transformation for whole body in the midst of fighting.

I skipped Monday and Tuesday of the next week too, since it was sunny and Edythe couldn't go to school. We finally went to school on Wednesday and were greeted with a pleasant surprise.

As soon as Edythe and I entered the school entrance, we were greeted with the sight of Bella alighting from Edward's car along with him. Edythe looked at Edward in surprise, who immediately turned his head towards her.

An apparent mind reading battle went on between them, which ended with Edward giving a tight smile and Edythe giving a groan of annoyance.

"Edythe? What happened?" I asked.

"It's my brother, the little rat." Edythe said heatedly "He told Bella nearly everything about us last night, when he was apparently stalking her to protect her and saved her from some rapists."

"He went on an impromptu date with her to, and I quote, 'Keep his temper in check' and 'Fight against fate to save her'. Long story short, one thing led to another and they both confessed to be attracted to each other."

She gave another exasperated look in the direction of Edward and Bella, who were currently talking to her friend Jessica, "Edward put up a feeble protest about vampire and human, but Bella apparently convinced him by giving the example of us. And now they are even considering admitting openly that they are dating now."

"By the way, it turns out that once my Brother started telling secrets to Bella, he apparently had no personal boundaries. So now Bella knows about me and you, along with your powers." Edythe grumbled in an annoyed tone.

That little tidbit shocked me as I clenched my hand in anger. He had no right to tell Bella about me. He might be an immortal vampire with little to no weaknesses but I was still a human for crying out loud, most of the time anyway.

Just one careless slip of Bella's and I could be looking at a life under the observation of secret government facilities.

Suddenly I felt a cool touch on my clenched hand that slowly unclenched my fingers gently before intertwining fingers with me. I looked up to find Edythe giving me a gentle smile.

"It will be okay Krishna," She said "I know Edward can be rash. But he also matured far too early because of his gifts, we both did."

"He my be weak to Bella's charms, but he is not stupid. He wouldn't have trusted her with our secrets if he didn't think she would keep them. And no offence, but even if someone would come to know let's say, humans have a tendency to obsess with immortality more than anything. So us vampires would be the first target before you."

"You do know that it is a poor consolation?" I said incredulously "Having you in danger is just as worse, if not more."

"Okay, how about this consolation then?" Edythe said as she put her arms around my neck and captured my lips with hers. We slowly savored our kiss until there was a polite cough by a passing student that made us realize we were in the corridor.

"Well that consolation is pretty acceptable." I said with a grin as we moved to our class. I noticed that Bella's eyes flashed towards us, from her seat with Jessica, as soon as we entered.

Her gaze looked at us with new meaning, thanks to her new knowledge provided by Edward. I gave her a smile and a nod, as Edythe and I moved to our usual seat at the back.

"Oh, Fine" suddenly Edythe muttered as we sat down at our seat. I was surprise at this sudden outburst.

When seeing my questioning gaze she explained "Edward wants us to sit with him and Bella during lunch, seeing as she is new to all this. He wants her to get used to us before he introduces her to the rest of the family."

"He does realizes that I am a human? What does he mean by getting used to me?" I asked, bewildered by this statement.

"Well, while telling Bella about your powers, Edward might have given her an impression that you are something similar to us." Edythe said sheepishly.
