22 Retaking the Examinations

"Aunt Liu, I…"

"I'm going to tell you something. Although Chu Qichen is a very old-fashioned person, he actually needs the woman to take the first step. Numerous socialites tried to attract him on their own, but that didn't seem to work." Aunt Liu spoke softly while a cautious expression appeared on her face, as though she was revealing highly classified information.

Aunt Liu was about to open her mouth and pour out her heart well into the middle of the night, but An Wen placed the mugs on the table and said, "Aunt Liu, thank you, but can we talk about this tomorrow instead? I'm too tired now."

"If you're tired, you should hurry up and go to bed. You're still growing, after all! I'm going to go now so I won't disturb you." As she was speaking, Aunt Liu opened the door and left.

An Wen smiled and closed the door, but a dejected expression appeared on her face when she looked at the couple mugs on the table.

How could she break Aunt Liu's heart when that woman was so kind to her?

A stern and awfully strict man like Chu Qichen probably only cared about refined and well-educated young ladies who came from rich and powerful families. Those women would probably only give him neckties and expensive watches as gifts. If An Wen gave Chu Qichen one of these couple mugs, he would probably throw it out of the window!

It was unlikely that anyone had given him something like that before. The look on Chu Qichen's face when he received a couple mug as a gift would certainly be very interesting.

An Wen was too afraid to even imagine that scene.

The next day, Chu Qichen had already left for his office when An Wen woke up. She was able to leisurely enjoy her breakfast during that time.

When An Wen went to class, it was still time for self-revision in the morning. The other students curiously looked at her because they knew that she was retaking the exams today. However, An Wen spent the entire period indifferently scrolling through Weibo.

It was time for the residential students to have their breakfast when the recess bell rang. Meanwhile, An Wen was focused on scrolling through Weibo to familiarize herself with the latest news in the entertainment industry. She only took her bag and went to the teacher's office when her class teacher came and called her.

Her first test was for the language subject. The class teacher supervised her during the entire period while the dean was absent because he was busy with other matters. An Wen handed in her test papers 40 minutes before the exam was over, the same way she did it during the monthly test.

Once she had finished the test, she was allowed to rest for ten minutes before the English test started. An Wen did not encounter any problems. She spent a little more time on the listening questions, but she simply scanned through the other questions once before she answered them. An Wen felt as though she did not have to analyze the questions at all.

While An Wen was answering the test, her class teacher was next to her, marking the language test. The English teacher marked the test so quickly that An Wen was still answering the listening questions when the teacher had finished marking. After that, the teacher looked at the test and started daydreaming. She also turned the test paper over and looked through it repeatedly.

An Wen finished the English test particularly quickly. When she handed it in, the English teacher who was beside her was completely stunned before she took the test and slowly walked toward the class teacher's desk. The teacher had personally watched An Wen answer the questions, but she did not see how many of them were answered wrongly.

Initially, An Wen was only supposed to retake two tests: her language and English subjects, but the class teacher decided to let her take one more test because she finished them so quickly.

The Mathematics teacher was currently teaching the Senior Two advanced class, so the class teacher asked the Senior Three Mathematics group leader to supervise An Wen. After all, the group leader did not have any classes.

An Wen skillfully proved that she truly did not have to spend much time thinking when she did her Mathematics test. The entire teacher's office was filled with a scratching noise as she hurriedly wrote down her answers.

While he was next to An Wen, the Senior Three Mathematics group leader stared at her while his face kept getting paler. Finally, the bell rang when the fourth period was over. This was one of the rare occasions when the Mathematics teacher did not extend the class while he was teaching the Senior Two advanced class. The teacher took his textbook and teaching tools before he said, "Class is over!" After that, he hurriedly ran toward the teacher's office.

All the students in the Senior Two advanced class assumed that their teacher was rushing off to answer nature's call.

When the teacher arrived at the teacher's office, An Wen had already handed in her test paper and packed her bag. She greeted the teacher before she left the office. The Senior Three Mathematics group leader was currently looking through An Wen's test paper when the teacher hurriedly walked over and asked, "How did my student do?"

The Senior Three Mathematics group leader's face was slightly pale while hints of admiration seeped through his gaze. He passed the test papers to the teacher and said, "Have a look."

The teacher took the test papers and noticed that the answer to the first MCQ was… correct! The second one was also… correct! The third one… 

He could not believe that An Wen's answers for the MCQs were all correct. She had filled in all the bubbles correctly!
