Chapter 6: The Cottage

The cottage the king provided was on Bonna Street with a perfect view of both the Wizards Keep and the castle. The Wizards Keep was dark and foreboding. It seemed to have been torn from the mountain. The black and dark gray stone was rough huned and seemed slammed together. On the other hand the Castle was a symmetrical work of art. It was made of white stone lined with dark gray and turquoise. The castle was set on the top of a hill in the center of a large valley, with the keep on one side and mountains on the other there was a long valley that wound from the northeast to the southeast. There were choke points on both the openings of the valley. From her cottage she could see the keep the castle and both chokeholds. Strategically she could not have been better placed.

Inside the cottage has several rooms. Two bedrooms, a kitchen, a study, and a parlor. The study was full of books on magic as well as history and warfare.

In her room there were several outfits most for training and fighting a few were for court appearances and parties.

In Pippa's room room there were also a variety of clothes she was also supplied with everything from training to party clothes.

There was nothing missing in the cottage it was everything she could have dreamed of.

Their was a training ground in the back yard with a stable of horses and a weapons shed. The water pump was never the kitchen door and piped directly into the kitchen. There was a vegetable garden to the south of the house and a lawn with a clothesline on th north.

The first thing Jemma did was go to the horses next she went to the vegetable garden and pulled up weeds talking to the plants the whole time. When she was done Pippa had dinner ready for them.
