Annabel couldn't remember why she fell asleep so early as she rolled over to feel Scarlett next to her, she kissed her wife's forehead then went to her laptop to check her work progress as she shook the mouse a message popped up reading,

"Annabel,

This is Anisa Powell, Scarlett's ex girlfriend well okay technically you were as Angel too but I'm not here to judge your opinion's, I'm emailing you to save your life before it gets to much later. Annabel, one thing I have learned about Scarlett is that she'll change you for it to make her better. She abused me for days on end until I had to call the law and get her out of my life. Scarlett is a conniving bitch, she had made me Angel Marie Knight for about a two years until I went back to my old self which is Anisa and not Angel because I'm not you or the name you were before.

Now, I don't know you're full history but I do know one thing you had a great love life with Jana you two did everything together which made Scarlett so pissed off. I will admit she did eventually stop abusing me, I had to go through some intense therapy to better myself against her as you will too I'm sure. Annabel, I'm not out to piss you off or anything that isn't my intent but Scarlett is not worth this lifestyle.

I am going to go since I know Scarlett will be up in about forty minutes so delete this email and forget about me until you are back Angel then email me. I am not going to give you a number or anything due to Scarlett so just try and walk out of that hell hole before it gets much worse. Goodbye Annabel...

Annabel deleted the email as she heard Scarlett scramble out of bed that was when she went to her book and started working on it not thinking of Anisa's letter. She wasn't sure how to escape or even anything else at the moment since she still believes Scarlett is her one and only wife in the world who actually cared and have loved her with passion and desire hell they made love a week ago that was imaginable in records after three years together.

Scarlett came up behind Annabel saying,

"Good morning baby, you are up way early. Everything okay?"

Annabel stretched from writing her book even though it was ten minutes the most as she replied,

"After a good night's rest and stress free I feel amazing."

Scarlett kissed Annabel deeply then let go with a response,

"That's amazing, I'm going to brew some coffee and get breakfast made, how about pancakes,eggs,sausage and orange juice?"

Annabel smiled replying,

"Sure babe, sounds good, let me finish up here and I'll join you."

Annabel saved the sentence she left off at then shut down her laptop for the time being seeing that Scarlett would get on to her for not helping with breakfast.

Jana got home to Kansas within two days a relief to be back and the kids still wouldn't smile or anything so she took them to see Martha Ballinger her boss from the bakery. As they rounded the corner to the bakery she notice that Martha was standing outside waving her down as Jana parked by the curve Martha got in saying,

"I thought you were never coming back, anyways I need you and the kids to do me a favor."

Jana gave a lopsided smile responding,

"Sure, what is it Martha?"

Martha's hands were shook up as she replied,

"I need to move in with you guys until I can get my own place, I have been living in the store to save up money and move unfortunately since you left our customers have slowly disappeared and I'm losing service badly. So please Jana? I won't do anything in front of your children and I'll keep my space, I'll stay on the couch."

Jana knew this was going to happen so she had to ask one serious question to Martha so she responded,

"Your husband left you while we was gone right?"

Martha shook her head no replying,

"I left him because I am in love with you and you're still engaged to Angel."

Jana held in her though then just went on responding,

"Martha, I don't think I'm engaged any longer to Angel. She's become a different woman that I can't change on my own and I got tired of trying to convince her of who she was, so I came back to my home."

Martha reached over and hugged Jana replying,

"I am so so sorry it turned out that way. If anything I can help around the house, we won't need to be a couple to do that and I know you need time to move on from Angel."

Jana hugged back then let her go responding,

"Thank you, I would need help not sure what the house is like since we have left."

Martha got all happy as the kids groaned together not liking the idea. Jana reached in the backseat smacking both kids on the legs saying,

"Be nice to Martha since Momma isn't here or around, you will get who I choose understood."

Jonathan and Avery nodded without argument as they drove off back home to settle down have dinner,go about their usual days. Jana had finally got into her bedroom to unpack as she saw the pictures of her and Angel still up as she walked around the room to take them down one at a time she heard on a knock on the door as she said,

"Come in."

Martha peeped through then came in slowly as she just stood at the door replying,

"Jana, I was just coming to tell you that the kids are doing their homework before going into school tomorrow and house is cleaned along with dinner. Are you okay?"

Jana looked at Martha as tears started falling holding a picture of the family together during the summer months. Martha came up to Jana holding her from behind whispering,

"It's time to move on darling, she has too. It had a good run for a while."

Jana turned around in Martha's arms whispering back,

"I don't know how to let go of a lover, she was my one and only for the longest time."

Martha took the photo setting it down on the nightstand as she held Jana listening to her tears fall silently, she didn't dare kiss the woman after the last time which ended in hurt. They just sat on the bed holding one another. Martha lightly guided her hands through Jana's short hair keeping her calm from the trembling shakes that vibrated them both. Martha wanted to hurt Angel from hurting Jana but thing is Angel has no idea what she has done either.

Jana sat up from the tears wiping them away saying,

"Thank you Martha for letting me cry I needed that. I do need to move on just like Angel ran off to her first love way before I came along even though she's the only reason I am lesbian now."

Martha smiled brushing Jana's bangs out of her face replying,

"That I give Angel much,much,much credit for since you were straight long before realizing you were lesbian."

Jana shook her head laughing responding,

"Actually I didn't know if I was even straight before Angel came along that is the whole reason she made realize I was beautiful in my own way and that she made me believe in myself."

Martha nodded replying,

"Now, I can see why you loved her so much, she had remarkable tributes about herself including helping another woman come out of the closet so to speak."

Jana smiled and agreed as her thoughts finally went back to the first time she met Angel that night was very beautiful with her blonde hair blowing in the breeze,her smile,her beautiful figure, Angel was literally a angel.

Martha loved Jana's smile but knew that had to get sleep so she got up from the bed to leave Jana grabbed her wrist saying,

"I know we started off bad before but can you please just stay and cuddle me tonight only, I haven't been held since Angel left so I'd like for you to stay with me tonight please?"

Martha gave a lopsided grin replying,

"Sure Jana, what are friends for right?"

Jana nodded responding,

"Right."

Jana got up to leave the room saying,

"I am going to kiss the kiddo's goodnight I'll be right back, go ahead and get comfortable."

Martha nodded as she watched Jana leave the room though she was to nervous to even get into that bed it felt like she was invading her own coworkers space. Jana had never meant any harm to Martha and they had gone off on the wrong foot several times but managed to work it out. Martha just was very unsure as Jana came back in the room still surprised saying,

"Martha you didn't have to wait for me, go on ahead and get into bed."

Martha walked over to the side she assumed Angel slept on and got out of her clothes feeling her insecurities take over because she is a extremely big woman for her age. Jana didn't look at her though so she climbed into the covers as Jana followed long an they cuddled until they fell asleep.

Annabel had been working non-stop at this new job but her thoughts always wondered if Jana really did move back to Kansas. Scarlett had been treating Annabel completely different since Jana had disappeared without a trace. Annabel had tried desperately to remember the cell phone number though with the new medication she can barely remember how to function a forklift.

Annabel decided that it was best to forget about Jana and focus on her married life with Scarlett they had a anniversary coming up within a few weeks to prepare for their date night together outside of working constantly. Annabel called her boss Sierra over seeing if she could take off work early she needed rest badly. Sierra came over saying in a harsh tone,

"What do you want Annabel? You haven't been working the way we compromised a month ago, you aren't even functional anymore."

Annabel knew she was going to get fired her reputation has gone down a ton finally she replied,

"Can I go home please Sierra? I'm just too tired to even work my full shift. I am not even sure what has happened to me. Scarlett have been giving me medication to keep me from being depressed and stressed now I can barely function most days."

Sierra shook her head as she walked away to grab her clipboard Annabel assumed since that was where the work schedule was to check who could take over when Sierra came back she responded,

"Annabel from the looks of the schedule you have barely pulled in 40 hours a week and you were our top worker. I have no idea what to do now with you because we need you here. I am going to call Scarlett and see what she has you taken because this isn't right. So shut off the forklift then meet me in the office."

Annabel shut off her forklift properly then headed across the plant to see Sierra unfortunately she got halfway there and fell face first to the ground. Annabel was completely out cold so she didn't know what was going on even though she saw faces including Sierra trying to get her to snap out of it.

Several hours later Annabel woke up in a hospital to find Scarlett crying at her bed side as Annabel cleared her throat as much as she can saying,

"Scarlett, what the hell happened to me?"

Scarlett startled herself up from the tears drying her eyes softly replying,

"I can't say here but I must get you home and out of this hospital."

Annabel released her hand from Scarlett's grip responding,

"No, I need to know why you put me on those medication whatever they are."

Scarlett stood up leaning in Annabel's ear replying,

"I gave you one of my medication which was Sertraline it is intended to help your depression and anxiety also stress."

Annabel looked at Scarlett with a horrid face responding,

"Were you trying to kill me? What am I supposed to tell the doctor's? Oh wait..my wife drugged me up. I rather take you abusing me than shoving drugs down my throat."

Scarlett sighed replying,

"No baby, I wasn't trying to kill you. You could tell the doctor's that you were prescribed to them but forgot they expired. Please just don't tell them that I gave them to you, I was only trying to help."

Annabel crossed her arms over her chest responding,

"Fine, just so you know I have almost lost my job at the factory due to this. I do like working at the factory by the way it is a amazing job and I am not going to lose it all because I don't get enough sleep or I am having a bad day, I do work on my book for a reason Scarlett."

Scarlett nodded knowing they were far from over with this argument so she replied,

"I am very sorry baby, I truly am. Just please let's get out of here once the doctor comes back with paperwork to sign you out."

Annabel wanted to scream,cry,punch Scarlett anything to get out of the situation but she married Scarlett for a reason and it wasn't going to go away overnight including this stunt. Doctor came in twenty minutes later describing what was going on including her wife's point of view that she took over expired medicine and can be released by tomorrow evening, she is to stay on the ventilator overnight and double checked by morning for any side effects.
