Allie's POV;

I was lying on the cold floor of the small dark room. I felt so lifeless and helpless. I sat up and it felt like all the blood in my body rushed to my head. It took me some minutes to finally snap back into reality from my dazed state. I woke up remembering last night's incident with my Uncle Alpha Rex and was hoping for the worst that could happen to me at that point because I am tired of the sufferings and påin my Uncle and his family are putting me through. My wolf,Akela, sensed my trouble and told me"Don't worry ,our troubles will soon be over but let's just be as strong as we can now,okay? Allie responded with the tiniest ounce of confidence she could gather saying "sure,we are an Alpha we got this". Minutes later,I looked towards the door due to its creaking sound to see an Omega come in. I thought it was my cousin,Lilian, the only person who has shown me a bit of family love since my father's death and my mother's disappearance at the Stonegate's pack. I asked the omega why I was here and it hurt to speak because my throat felt so patched and sore and I was so thirsty. It's unusual for an Omega to attend to me at the pack for any reason because I myself was treated like an Omega at the pack. The Omega looked me up and down and with a low growl answered and said," Alpha Rex said I should get you cleaned up and dressed for a special occasion". I kept staring at her puzzled waiting for her to tell me what the occasion was but her clipped tone and glare told me that wouldn't be happening. She then asked me to follow her. I absentmindedly did, every step I took hurt worse than the last but I didn't think she cared enough to slow down her hurried footsteps for me to catch up with her. All the while my gut kept telling me whatever the occasion it wouldn't be good and my wolf was awfully silent.

About Last Night;

At the Alpha King's Pack;

During the All Packs Annual event celebration which takes place at the Alpha King's pack,The iron gates pack a weird scenario took place,which led to the battering Allie received from her uncle later that night.She wasn't permitted to go this event in denial of her being a pack member,but she wasn't having it. She made up her mind to go but she had no good clothes or accessories to use,so she decided to go in disguise just to have a glimpse of the event celebration not as a guest because the last time she attended the event proper was at age six when her father was still alive.

However,she was too lost in the beauty of the event setting and decoration that she forgot herself and went into the event hall.Allie"s disguise drew lots of attention most especially the odor that oozed from her due to lack of personal care which led to lots of loud murmuring from the crowd.Unfortunately, Allie's uncle was part of this crowd and immediately he sighted her, he recognized her.Allie who was looking lost and wandering round the event hall didn't notice the attention she had gained until her gaze met her uncle's,it was at this point she knew she had made a grave mistake.

Allie's POV;

While the omega was cleaning me up,I couldn't do anything but wonder and despite her unwelcoming aura for questions i couldn't help but question the omega on what special occasion was that would warrant such special treatment.My bruises wouldn't heal under such short notice obviously,but could be managed after the little dressing the pack's doctor gave me alongside some pain reliefs.I felt a bit confident and happy after a long time,while I still wondered what awaits me cause the happiness didn't seem as though it will last long.

Alpha Rex walked in, I was still wallowing deep in my thoughts and didn't notice his presence.I immediately came back to reality when I heard him say,"You look perfect enough to be presented to the Alpha King as our Pack's annual gift now,thanks to my smart thoughts and benevolence.I looked up at him in sheer but remembered he was wasn't too looked at in the eye and looked back down looking at his feet adorned with the finest of shoes and fixing my expression i asked in the most polite and humble voice i could muster "what gift?"

He grabbed me by my chin to bring my face to his. I looked into his dark green eyes and saw sheer mischief and callousness. He smirked and told me "What do you think?You are the Alpha king's gift for this year. I felt like this would be a perfect punishment for your disobedience and a means to put your beauty to some good use. A twist in what i present to the Alpha King as annual gift.And to seal it up,our pack is first to present it's gift this year.The reason why you are all cleaned up and dressed is because the Alpha King is on his way to our pack and so I thought his gift should not be battered.He dropped my chin with force after this statement.I couldn't control myself as tears roll down my cheeks,I didn't know what to say or think.My wolf,Akela was ready to storm out and go for a long run.But I didn't let her, she gave her loudest growl to express her anger.This attracted my Uncle who was on his way out of the room who turned his back like he remembered something very important and walked up to me with full rage.He wrapped his hands around my neck with his thumbs gripping my throat like he was going to strangle and kill me that instant.Rather,he kept gripping my throat and looked into my eyes like I was the only living thing that existed in that room and he said"Hey learn to control your wolf because I am gifting you to the Alpha King as an Omega slave,he must never know you are an Alpha female otherwise I will send you to where I sent your father ".

At the mention of my father I felt all the blood drain from my face and I was hit with a sudden wave of nausea. I always knew my uncle hated my family but to think he had a hand in my father's death felt like a big slap to my face. I know I shouldn't be surprised but hearing him admit it out loud made me want to crawl up into a ball and roll into a hole and never come out again. What did we do to deserve such hatred from him? What did my father do? These were the thoughts that ran through my head as I felt another wave of nausea hit, this time it was way stronger and I couldn't fight it so I let it out. The omega stared at me in disgust but I couldn't care less. What could possibly be worse than the turmoil I'm going through right now?
