A Gamer's Path To The Peak

In my past life, I was Ryan Gray, a 22-year-old who spent more time gaming than socializing. My days revolved around virtual adventures, where I felt powerful and respected, unlike the reality, where I often felt like a ghost—unnoticed and disconnected. But one fateful evening, my life took a turn for the absurd.

After finishing an intense gaming session, my mind still buzzing from the adrenaline of victory, I decided to grab a late-night snack. The kitchen was dimly lit, and I was preoccupied with thoughts of my next gaming strategy. Just as I reached for the fridge, I heard a low rumble outside. Dismissing it as thunder, I continued to grab a piece of chicken. In an instant, my life ended in the most ridiculous way possible.

A massive truck lost control and crashed through my house, taking me out in the blink of an eye. I expected darkness, but instead, I found myself floating in a void. Confusion enveloped me as I processed this strange transition. Suddenly, a figure materialized before me—a whimsical, almost cartoonish being with a mischievous grin and eyes that shimmered with cosmic knowledge.

"Ah, welcome, Ryan Gray!" the being exclaimed, its voice echoing in the void. "I am what you know as R.O.B, here to grant you a new life!"

I blinked, still grappling with my unusual situation. "Wait, am I dead? And why do I look like I just stepped out of a video game?"

"Yes, you are indeed dead! But fear not! You have the chance to be reincarnated in another world—one full of adventure, challenges, and, of course, games!" The R.O.B. chuckled, gesturing expansively. "You will be reborn in The Gamer World, and to sweeten the deal, you can make three wishes!"

My mind raced as I considered the possibilities. I had always dreamed of being in a world like those in my games, where I could wield powers and embark on grand adventures. But I was also painfully aware of the pitfalls. I didn't want to be the hero; I just wanted a life where I could explore my abilities without the weight of expectations.

"Okay," I said cautiously. "For my first wish, I want to have a Gamer system that allows me to level up and gain skills like in the games I used to play."

The R.O.B. nodded, a glimmer of excitement in its eyes. "A wise choice! The Gamer system it is!"

"Second wish," I continued, "I want to be reborn as an orphan living alone in South Korea, but I want to retain the name Ryan Gray, as my parents moved here for my father's high-paying job. I want the freedom to explore my potential without family obligations."

The R.O.B. clapped its hands, clearly pleased. "An independent life with the means to thrive! Excellent! And for your final wish?"

I hesitated, wanting to choose something that would benefit my new life. "I wish for access to an Omniversal shop where I can acquire items, skills, and knowledge from across different worlds."

With a flourish, the R.O.B. waved its hand, and a blinding light enveloped me. "Done! Now, go forth and embrace your new life, Ryan Gray!"

In an instant, I felt myself being pulled through a tunnel of light. My senses swirled as memories of my past life faded, replaced by the new identity of Ryan Gray, an orphan living in South Korea, supported by a sizable inheritance from my parents.

I awoke in a beautiful villa, sunlight streaming through the large windows. The villa had a decent garden, surrounded by sturdy walls that offered a sense of privacy and security. As I opened my eyes, the rush of new memories flooded my mind—my parents who had passed away in an accident shortly after relocating, leaving me with their fortune. This was my second chance, and I was determined to make the most of it.

With the Gamer system at my disposal and access to an Omniversal shop, I could navigate this world with unprecedented advantages. I would grow stronger, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Little did I know that this new life would hold both trials and adventures that would test my resolve and reshape my destiny.
