15 I blame this on Anenoid

Chapter 15

11:49 am

(Ivan's POV)

I look towards the metal shack in the room and I get interrupted by a few boxes. God dammit more reading.

Thanks to the repeated use of skills, some leveled up!

Lvl17 Move Air->Lvl18 Move Air

Lvl6 Wind's Cannon->Lvl7 Wind's Cannon

Lvl5 Wind Arrow->Lvl6 Wind Arrow

Lvl1 Wind Slash-> Lvl3 Wind Slash

Lvl1 Fire Spitting->Lvl2 Fire Spitting

Lvl8 Basic Slash (Katana)->Lvl9 Basic Slash (Katana)

Okay so that box wasn't that long. I look at the box in front of me and notice that the box only had one thing in it. Oh, thank god this box is short.

Thanks to a specific action you did you got a new skill!

Lvl1 Block (Katana)- You can block with a katana. Good job.

I'm honestly surprised I didn't get this sooner. Well I guess I never tried blocking with a sword. I close the box and see two more boxes. I let out a sigh and start reading.

You got items from killing monsters!

2x Quilts

1x Laser revolver

2x Iron Nodachi

2x Laser spears

1x Macuahuitl

5x Laser Xiphos

2x Greek Bows

30x Arrows

10x Insta-heals

Lasers? That's badass! I look at the laser related stuff and I bring my head to scratch my head. What's a Xiphos? I take the Xiphos and I feel the hilt appear in my head. I look down at it and unlike my katana I can hold it in one hand. I hold it up to inspect the hilt more. So far, I noticed nothing interesting about it. So where is the laser? Should I use my Mp on it?

I close my eyes and imagine my Mp going into the sword. When I open my eyes, there was still no laser. I let out a sigh and start to look around the hilt. Maybe there is some kind of button on the hilt? I look around and find a button on the bottom of the hilt. Why would anyone put a button there? It's so stupid. I press it and I see a blue ray of light appear in front of me. I pull the light away from me and see that the laser was around 14 inches. If it were made out of metal instead of a laser, I would think it would be a double-edged sword.

I take a few practice swings and I was instantly put off by it. Compared to my katana, the Xiphos was too light in my hands. Sure, my katana barely was also light, but the weight didn't feel right in my hands. I put it back in my inventory and look at one of my newer swords which was the Nodachi. I see that it didn't have the word laser next to its name. When I first read the name, I felt like it was made in Japan.

I stretch out my hand and take out the Nodachi. Instantly my hand goes down. I quickly take my hand off the hilt and I hear it clatter to the ground. I look at the ground and see a blade that looked like it was bigger than me. Why is this sword so big? I look around and call Anenoid over.

"What do you want?"

"Can you pick the sword and stand next to it." He picks it up and he makes the flat of the blade lean on him. The sword from the hilt to the tip of the blade reached up to the bottom of his neck. This sword was literally taller than me. What was the point of having something so big and heavy? It seems like it would be a big disadvantage in a fight.

Adenoid looks at the sword and picks it up to put it on his shoulder. "Hey, can I have this? I heard this type of sword is powerful." I guess it would be good for him since he only has muscles going for him.

"Sure. Just don't hit me with it." He nods and walks away to do whatever he was doing before I called him. I look at the rest of the items and decide to close the box since none of the other stuff excited me. Some items were self-explanatory. Mostly things like the laser spear and Insta-heal. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the about the item named Macuahuitl. It didn't really seem important, so I decided to skip it and check what it was later.

The last box was about me leveling up. At least this one will be quick.

You leveled up 2 times!

Doesn't look like anything major changed. I close the box and make my way towards the metal shack. When I get inside, it looked like it was at one point a guard box but was abandoned. There was a wooden chest in the middle of the room and on the right of the entrance was a desk. I look at the chest and walk over to it. I kneel and see a lock. Please don't be locked. I try to lift it up, but it didn't budge. Dammit! Should I use force? I think for a little bit and notice that it was dark in the shack. Maybe my shadow powers will work? I point my finger at the hole imagine a shadow going through the hole. I close my eyes and think about the inside of a lock. I hear a click and I quickly open my eyes and jump back.

I see that the chest was open, and I carefully move towards it thinking it was a trap. When I got the chest, a box appeared in front of me.

Thanks to a specific action you did you got a new skill!

Lvl2 (32%) Shadow Picking- You can use the shadows to lockpick. You just need a little bit of practice. Mp per use- 10 mp. Chance of success- 5%

How can shadows even move anything? You know what I don't even want to question it. I look in the box and see some clothes and a gun. I pick up the gun first. The gun looked like your stereotypical pistol that you would see in video games or movies. The gun was painted white and it had gold markings on the side. On the left side of the gun, the word Tribute was on it. The grip of the gun was made out of a red leather. Now if only I had ammo for it. I decide to use Inspect on it just in case it had any special powers.

Tribute

A special kind of Glock 19. This gun doesn't need bullets. Instead it can run on Soul or demigod magic. The longer you use Soul or magic on the pistol the stronger the blast will be. Of course, you can also store magic or Soul on the gun to use later.

Mp per bullet- 1 Mp

Damage-120 x how much Mp or Soul you used

I immediately get excited when I first read the description. I turn around and point the gun at Anenoid. Anenoid was poking at a dead robot on the ground with his sword. I snicker and I use one point of my Mp to use in the gun. I aim my gun and get into a comfortable position. I lean forward and pull the trigger. My arms go up from the recoil and I see that I hit the robot in the chest. I feel my arms shake and I see Anenoid quickly jump to the side and turn his head towards me. Anenoid shows me the middle finger and he goes back to poking robot corpses. Shortly after a box appears in my face. What now?

Thanks to a specific action you did you got a new skill!

Lv2(3%) Pistol Mastery- You can shoot a pistol. Your arms might shake after you shoot a pistol but at least the recoil of the gun won't hit you in the face.

I close the box and I being to admire my gun. After I was done admiring it, I put it into my inventory, and I look at the clothes inside the chest.

When I picked up the clothes, I felt a little bit of weight to them. I see that most of the clothes looked white and with a little bit of blue mixed in. The clothes itself felt soft. How can something have weight and be soft at the same time? I don't think this is normal piece of clothing. Just be sure I used Inspect on it.

Armored Sweatshirt

A sweatshirt that is armored. There isn't much to say about this. Will block 15% of damage.

I kind of wish it was a hoodie, but I can't be picky. I put it on, and I feel a bit of weight on around my chest. It didn't compare to the training weights Dominique made me wear though. I feel a bit of gratitude to Dominique. I guess his training helped, maybe I should do something for him later. I turn my head towards the pants in the chest and used Inspect on it. When I read the box, it said the same thing, except replace the word sweatpants with sweatshirt and you would get the same thing.

I move around and surprisingly the armor feels like the real thing. I turn around and I move to the desk. There were no drawers in the desk, but there was a piece of paper on the desk. I pick it up and observe it. What I saw was a map of the dungeon. The hallways that were connected to the room I was fighting in were numbered from one to three. The left side was number one, the middle was number three, and the right side was number two. I put the map in my inventory, and I wonder what the numbers mean. I step outside the shack and I go to the hallway that was number two.

I stop outside the entrance and look into the hallway. At the end of the hallway I see a rope moving randomly along with saws flying around the room. I take a deep breath and I step inside the hallway. As I put my foot down fire comes out of the walls and I feel the top of my head tingle. I use the wind to push myself back and a gate quickly falls from the ceiling. I look at the gate that was preventing me from entering the hallway. I breath out and I turn my body so that my body was facing the hallway that was numbered number one. I walk over to it and I step inside the hallway.

Unlike the other hallway nothing happened. I guess I'm forced to go through a specific order. I walk through the hallway and I tell Anenoid through the ring to come with me. In only matter of seconds, we reached another room. I take out Tribute and I walk into the room. When me and Anenoid walked in, I heard a gate close behind us. I ignore the noise and I search the room for enemies. Instead the room was empty. At the other side of the room there was a door. I take out the map to this dungeon and see that the map said this room was a trap.

I slowly move through the room. As I progressed through the room, I kept pointing my gun at random places throughout the room, you know just be safe. When I walked five feet away from the entrance the floor slowly moves. I run back towards the entrance and I remember that we were locked in here. Shit! I look back and I see holes slowly form in the ground. I press my back against the gate while I see Anenoid running across the room. Luckily the floor beneath me didn't move. Unfortunately, Anenoid wasn't so lucky and he fell down the hole with the sword that I just gave him. Eventually the floor stopped moving and I slowly stepped away from the gate. I scan the room for any place I step on. When the floor stopped moving there was barely space to walk on. Instead most of the floor was one big giant hole. In the hole there was tiny platforms for me to jump on. Eventually Anenoid's soul came back to the ring. I ask Anenoid what was at the bottom of the hole. "I honestly don't know what happened. Before I died, I saw a huge room that had something in the middle." I sigh and start to walk away from the gate.

As I approach the edge, I start to question whether this is worth it or not. I look down into the abyss and I don't see an end to it. I breath in then out quickly. I get ready to jump and I feel my legs tense. I jump onto the platform and stumble a little bit. I almost fall off, but thankfully I was able to stop myself. I look over to the other platforms and notice that they were scattered randomly. I sigh and I slowly make my way to other platforms. Before I reach the door at the other side of the room, I see something begin to rise in front of me. Before the thing could attack, I turn around and jump onto another platform. When I landed, I quickly turned around and raise my gun. I see the body begin to rise and I shoot. My bullet hits the thing square in the chest, and it falls. I didn't get to celebrate as I was felt something attach to my back.

My back arches back and I drop my gun. I didn't feelany pain so far, so I guess the armor works .I quickly take out my katana and I quickly turn around, but when I do whateverwas on my back got off. I crouch to pick up my gun. I put it in my inventory,and I sense something about to attack. I take a few quick steps forward andjump onto another platform. I turn around and I see something flying in theair. Like every other creature in this dungeon, this creature was a robot. Fromwhat I could tell the body had the shape of a wasp. Just make the size of aPomeranian and you get the idea. Just like the raptor, the metal had a brightblue color to it. When I looked at the bottom part of the robot, I saw asyringe where the stinger was supposed to be. In the syringe there was a darkgreen liquid. At the tip of the syringe I saw some droplets drip. Oh shit! DidI get stabbed with it? I panic and I start to reach towards my back.

I didn't feel any blood, so that was a good sign. The robot rushed towards me with its singer in front. I raise my katana and I sense something to my right. Without taking my eyes off the wasp on front of me I use Wind Arrow to pierce its body, I don't bother to check if it hit since I swung my sword horizontally. Luckily, I was able to hit a wasp with my sword. I look around notice about ten wasps surrounding me. I quickly summon Anenoid and I jump to another platform. I hear Anenoid shout, "I lost my weapon! Give me another one!" Not thinking about it I take out my Macuahuitl and throw it to Anenoid. Before I threw it to Anenoid I was able to get a glimpse of it.

The weapon was in the shape of a cricket bat. The only difference was that on the sides there was some razors. I see Anenoid catch it. His lips form a smirk and he quickly jumps towards a wasp. I turn away from him and I see two wasps fly towards me. I use Wind Slash to take out one. The other one dogged my attack and it raised its stinger. I put my sword in my Inventory, and I take out Tribute. I aim and shoot, thankfully I was able to hit it in the chest. I look towards Anenoid and I see four wasps attacking him, while the four wasps were watching. I put Tribute back into my inventory and I decided to use this opportunity to grind the skill Wind Arrow. I breathe in and I aim.

I sent the arrow through the air, the wasp sensed this, and it moved out of the way. I smack my lips and for some reason I get the urge to swipe my hand to the left. I follow the urge and I feel the arrow turned the left and as a result hitting the wasp. I did not know I could do that. I sit down and do the same thing to five other wasps. Very quickly Anenoid was able to take out the other wasps without much help. He didn't even have to do much either he just threw his weapon a few times and it came back to him. Together we made our way to the door at the end of the room.

Before we opened the door, we decided to rest first. We sit down and I take out the map to the dungeon. From what I saw on the map the door next to us was actually an elevator that led to a room beneath the room we are in. The room under us didn't lead anywhere else. I put the map back in my Inventory. I hear Anenoid humming beside me while inspecting his weapon. I look at him and I see a smile on his face. "So why are you so happy?" He looks at me any he puts down his weapon. "I just didn't expect to find this kind of weapon here." He picks up his weapon and he runs his finger against the razors. "I tried to buy this kind of weapon in Magebourne, but they were way too expensive. So, I had to settle for some big sword. But now, I get this for free." I look at his weapon, and I get confused by how you were supposed to use it. I don't think you could stab with it. Maybe it was good at slicing?

I point at the weapon and ask, "How are you supposed to use it? It kind of likes it would hard to use in a fight."

He sighs and starts to explain. "This weapon was used by the Aztecs to weaken their enemy. It was mostly used to slice the skin so that they could capture someone. Of course, it could be used as a club to knock someone out." When he stops talking, he zones out, then he takes a deep breath and starts to talk again. "The reason I wanted this weapon is that my mom trained me. It's kind of the only weapon I know how to use."

I nod my head and I see some tears in his eyes. I look away and silence falls over us. I hear Anenoid shift around. "So, where did you get a gun?" I take out Tribute and I give my answer.

"Remember that shack in the room?" I see him nod his head and I continue. "There was a chest in there, so I opened it." He looks at the gun and then back to me.

"Where did you learn how to shoot a gun?"

"The first time I shot at you." I see him get angry for a moment, but he quickly calms down. He looks at my clothes and then he looks away.

Without looking at me he says, "I'm surprised this dungeon had something that fits you. I quickly get up and I glare at him. "C'mon let's go." I open the door and walk inside the elevator.

He follows me and I press the button to make the elevator go down. Like all the other rooms in the dungeon the elevator was also made of wires and pipes. How anything moved when they were made out of pipes and wires I don't know. It didn't take long for the elevator to stop and the doors open. The first thing I see were a few pillars that were randomly scattered across the room. I look around and I step into the room.Oh damn its dark here compared to the other rooms. I guess the pillars is blocking out some of the light coming from somewhere. Actually where is the light coming from. It doesn't matter now. When i looked for where the light is coming from I notice that the floor was glowing a bright blue. I look back up and I notice a similarity between the room above me and this room. The pillars reminded of how the platforms were like in the room above us. Didn't Anenoid say something being in the middle of the room? I cautiously make my way towards the middle of the room. When I reached the middle of the room, I see a huge piece of machinery in the middle of the room sitting in an empty area. The machine was shaped like a vase. On its back there was three tubes and on the bottom, it had three pieces of metal that looked like it could legs.

I didn't know if it was a robot or just some random machine that got here somehow. Just to make sure I use Inspect on it.

I quickly turn around and I see Anenoid run towards the machine with a nasty grin on his face. He brings his weapon down and I see a bright blue light appear at the top of the machine. Red engravings appear on the bottom half of its body and it slowly gets up. God dammit Anenoid!

Anenoid's weapon bounces off the machine and suddenly a tube comes out of the side of the machine. Anenoid tries to doge the tube, but the tube quickly catches up to him. The tube goes into his back and its starts to fill up with a black liquid. Slowly the one tube on the Guardian's back fills up with the black liquid. I look around and I decide to hide behind one of the pillars. A few moments pass and the tube finally fills up. The tube removes itself and Anenoid falls to the ground.

Well this doesn't look very good.
