3 The Creature

Jump scared by the look of the beast, Danny tripped over and fell to the ground from the top of the watchtower. A dark creature was lurking at the bottom of the watchtower. The eyes of the beast showed its hunger.

DANNYYYY!!!!

Linda's screams echoed through the woods. "RUNNNN!!!" yelled out Linda to the boy, as the skinny monter-like creature started to move towards Danny.

"FUCKING HELL!!!!" yelled out Danny as he saw the monster moving to him. The monster had a skinny body with long sharp nails that looked ferocious. It was emitting a dark gaseous substance from its body and it was hiding its inner body. 

Danny couldn't think of anything. He had just fallen from the top of the wooden tower and now he felt he had broken his arm. Danny was struggling to crawl in the grass, as the beast got closer and closer. 

 "Get away!! Monster!! HELP!!!!" yelled out Danny looking at the ferocious beast. The machete he was carrying was laying on the grass somw metres away. He saw it and quickly tried to reach it.

The beast had reached Danny. The long eared monster raised its claws to give the boy a scratch. Its eyes were had to little sparkling lights in them. 

"NOOOOOO-" Linda fainted as the beast raised its claw. The scream startled the beast and it suddenly looked back. The split second was Danny's only chance. 

He quickly hopped into the machete and got hold of it. "Grarrrrr!!" the beast roared and jumped on Danny.

"AHHHHHH!!! GET THIS YOU FRICKING BEAST!!!"

Danny slashed the beast with the machete. The beast tried to defend it using its claws. But it was no use. The claw ripped out with half of its arm. 

"REEEEEEEEE KKK" screeched the beast, almost bleeding Danny's ears. Blood sputtered out from the cut. Half of its arm was lying on the grass. Even Danny was  covered in blood.

Danny wasn't done, the beast was still walking. It can act any moment and deliver another scratch from its other hand. Holding the machete, Danny wasn't backing up. 

He felt like he had pride in his heart now. Suddenly, Danny jumped onto the beast and tripped it on the grass. Quickly, Danny raised his hand backwards and stabbed the heart of the beast with the machete. 

The beast struggled a little. Then it stopped moving. It was lying dead on the ground. Danny was speechless. Suddenly he fainted as the beast lay on the grass, dead.

"What the hell! What's happening!! Am I dreaming!" said Danny as he woke up. He was conscious again. But he had no idea about what was happening.

Only thing he could see was these dearwords displayed in a dark place. "HP?? New level one?? I haven't even played much this weekend to be dreaming about RPG shit!" 

Suddenly, he figured out that he was still closing his eyes. Then he opened his eyes slowly. He could see the vast blue sky. He looked at his hand. 

He was still holding the machete. Suddenly, glimpses from the scene came back to his head. He threw away the knife. But to his surprise, he didn't even have a drop of blood covering his jacket.

He quickly looked inside his jacket to check if the t-shirt had any patches of blood on it. There was none. He was shocked.

Then he took a look around. There wasn't anything around there. It was only the enormous trees in the woods, the watchtower and the road. He couldn't find any dead creatures lying on the ground.

"Wait... LINDA!!! 

He suddenly remembered Linda and rushed up the ladder of the watchtower. "Linda!!!" yelled out Danny as he entered the watchtower. 

She was still unconscious. The sun was almost down. "It will be night anytime now," said Danny looking at the sun setting down, between the millions of branches and leaves.

From the looks of it, Linda was safe. Danny tried to shake off her sleep, but she didn't wake up. So Danny took her into his arms and started carrying her. 

The walk home was long, but he could never leave a girl alone. She was a thin girl, so Danny didn't have a hard time carrying her. After about 25 minutes of walking, Danny reached Linda's house, which was only 7 or 8 houses away from his. 

Danny knocked on the door of Linda's house. Mrs. Houseman came out. "Oh my god! What happened to my dear Linda!" she screamed in surprise. 

Danny could not possibly tell that they got attacked by a supernatural creature. "She fell from a height miss. She has been unconscious since then." lied Danny to cover up the scene. 

"Thank you my dear child, for bringing her all this way. Would you like some tea?" asked Mrs. Houseman. "I should be going Miss. Houseman. Thanks anyway." said Danny. 

Danny laid Linda on the couch of the living room and went back home. Mrs. Houseman waved him goodbye and he slowly walked through the street to his house. 

Opening his door, he slowly walked up the stairs into his room. He was dead tired. His legs felt like they were gonna break down. He slowly sat on his bed and laid back.

"Wow! What a fucked up day!" yelled Danny. It was the most tiresome day he went through that week. "Now what?" he asked himself thinking about the supernatural creature he killed. "Well it's a supernatural creature.. It's not even a crime to kill such animals." 

He was still in pain after the fall from the watchtower. His arm was in pain like hell, but it felt like it was healing much faster too. 

He got his pillow and laid his head on top of it. Then he closed his eyes.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS CRAP!!!" yelled Danny , opening his eyes again. "What the fuck is happening!! I'm not on drugs!" yelled out Danny hiding his head behind his pillow, closing his eyes again.
