9 The Beginning ~ part 02 ~

"She's been missing since yesterday, child! The police went to look for her in the woods!! What has happened to my dear Linda!" 

Mrs. Houseman was scared to death. Danny could hear her crying over the phone. Danny's heartbeat raised. 'What happened to Linda! Did she get the system too!"

Danny couldn't think of anything to do. He stood there frozen, as Mrs. Houseman cried over the phone. 

"I'll look for her! I'll find her! Don't worry!! Just wait Mrs. Houseman!" said Danny as he hung up the phone.

Danny turned to Hannah and Conor. "Linda's missing guys!! I think she got the system the same time I got it! Now she's missing!!" 

"Fucking hell! How are we gonna find her now! She might already be dead!!" declared Conor, to the frightened boy.

"No!! No!! I'm gonna find her! I left her alone! She was my best friend!!" yelled Danny, as tears started to run down from his eyes.

Linda was his best friend since grade 01. She was there for him from the beginning. She was the only best friend he ever had. 

Suddenly, Hannah stepped up. "Okay! Where do we find her Danny! There's no time for tears!" said the girl bravely. "The police are searching in the woods!!" answered Danny.

Conor looked at the boy. "You impudent fool! What if the police find out about the systems!!" thought Conor, bearing the words for himself. 

Society never knew about the supernatural systems. It was always hidden deep within the shadows of society. No-one ever knew about the werewolves, vampires and mages. It was all myths to the  people without the systems. 

Conor couldn't do anything, because he couldn't mess with Danny's personal feelings. "Brother! What if the werewolves got to her before you did?" asked Conor from the boy. 

"It can't be! She did nothing wrong! She must be alive!!" yelled Danny, as his heart felt an immense pain running through. "I'll kill everyone who stands in my way!!"

Conor suddenly got a smile in the corner of his mouth. "Kill everyone eh? One hundred percent, I know that the wolves already killed her if she had a system. Now, let's check how skilled this boy is.." thought Conor.

"You don't have enough mana Danny! Give me your hand!" said Conor reaching for Danny's hand. Then Danny pulled out his hand, and Conor grabbed it.

Conor slowly closed his eyes. Suddenly an aura came through Conor's hand and entered Danny's body as they were holding their hands. 

That was one of the powers of a mage. Exchanging mana with the other players, or even sucking up the mana of the other. 

[ Mana : 80/100 ]

80 percent of his mana has been restored. Danny looked at Conor and smiled. "Thanks brother.." said Danny as he acknowledged Conor for his act. 

Conor looked at his mana bar.

[ Mana : 70/100 ]

20 units have been wasted for the lightning bolt before and the mana exchanging spell took 10 units from him. The mage system was the system with the most amount of mana. 

"Let's go then, shall we!", said Hannah, getting ready to search for the girl. "Let's," said Danny, humbled by the help of his friends. 

All of them started to move into the dark forest. They went further and further into the woods. Pine trees and shrubs filled the woods. 

*Crack* *Crack*

Stepping on some of the thin branches of the pine trees. Under the shade, Hannah had no need for an umbrella to protect her skin from the sun. 

"LINDA!! LINDA!!!" yelled Danny as they searched more and more in the forest. Danny couldn't even catch a good breath. Deep inside, he felt like he was responsible for this. He forgot to check on Linda because of the pact. 

Danny's voice echoed throughout the lonely forest. "Where is she?" he asked himself. "WHERE ARE YOU LINDA!!!"

The three of them went deeper and deeper into the woods. Conor was at the back of the group, thinking to himself. "This fool! If she's dead what then? He'll die fighting a werewolf pack.." thought Conor. 

Danny looked around and around. Hannah was in the middle, looking everywhere for the girl. She was a kind and generous person. Suddenly, she spotted something pink coloured on the far end of a high ground. 

"Danny! There's something there!" said the girl looking at the thing. "Where!! Let's take a look!" said the boy quickly turning to Hannah. 

"Right there!" she said, pointing at the direction of the high ground. Danny quickly ran to there. 

There was a cave down there. As Danny got closer and closer, he could see a somewhat pink sweatshirt. Danny quickly turned around at the edge and-

"AHHHHHHH!!!! NOOO!!! LINDAA!!!!" yelled Danny. He quickly got the girl into his hands. There was a hole in her chest. The whole sweatshirt was covered with blood. 

There was no possible way that Linda could be alive. Danny's heartbeat raised. Tears ran down his cheeks. "Nooo.. noo-" 

Danny couldn't even talk. With the girl in his arms, he cried, his eyes filled with tears. Hannah covered her mouth, shocked by the view. She couldn't even say anything.

Conor who was behind them stood there. "It was a fucking werewolf after all.." he thought feeling miserable for his act. But deep inside he knew that he couldn't stop the death of the girl. 

Danny was heartbroken, holding the girl in his hands. 

"Who the fuck did this!!!! I'M GOING TO KILL EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!" 

He couldn't do anything now. The girl was already dead. He couldn't re-incarnate the girl. Only thing he could do was moan, holding the dead body in his own hands. 

He was burning with rage. "The system.. the system did this!! I'm gonna kill every single one of you!! Every single one of you!!!" yelled the boy furiously, as the tears dropped down to the earth. 

"Kill?? You? How the fuck are you going to kill us?" 

A mysterious voice came out of nowhere. A dark and deep voice, more like a growl. 

"Look me in the eyes and tell me,  I'm going to kill you!" the mysterious voice spoke again. "Because the only ones who are going to die are you freaks!"

Suddenly a huge man jumped off the pine tree beside Danny. A huge black figure. A man with a body mostly covered with fur. 

The man's eyes were yellow. He was about 8 feet tall. The man's upper body was uncovered. About 6 or 7 scratches were carved into his dark skin. He was wearing a pair of long cargo pants. 

"Hmmmm... That's a friend lying down there? Haha.. I'll send you to your friend, don't worry!" said the man, standing in front of Danny. 

"You motherfucker!! You killed Linda!!! I'm going to kill you!!!" yelled the boy at the half wolf, half man. Conor and Hannah were standing at the back. Conor summoned his staff and he was ready to battle. 

"That's right Danny! Kill this motherfucker, who killed your friend!" Conor thought to himself as Danny summoned his sword to his hands. 

Danny felt an aura more powerful than the aura of Hannah and Conor. "The werewolf must be at a higher level!" thought Danny as he gripped the swords with both his hands. 

"You have guts boy! But let's see if a newbie can survive an elite rank!" roared the man, growling and showing his vicious teeth. 

The man's face was covered with fur. He looked just like a hairy monster. 

Suddenly, the werewolf leapt at Danny trying to take a slash from his vicious claws. Danny quickly jumped aside and attacked the man with a side slash. 

*RWAAARARRR!!!*

The sword sliced the beast's shoulder, leaving a bloody broad cut in the skin of the werewolf. The beast suddenly dashed back and swung it's claw at the boy's head. 

Danny quickly parried it by the sword but the pressure was too immense. By the beast's strength, Danny flew off into the air and landed in the grass bed, about 6 metres away from the beast.

Surprisingly, the beast's claw had reached Danny's arm and now there were 3 broad scratches in his arm. The intense pain was hard to bear.

He saw his health bar decreasing by 15 units. He tried to stand back up, but the werewolf dashed back at him, with his claw targeting Danny's head again. 

Suddenly Hannah dashed to Danny at great speed, covering him from the front and making her nails grow longer. The vampires had long nails that could cut anything. Her blue eyes suddenly turned to red. 

The werewolf was leaping at the two. Suddenly, Hannah slashed the werewolf's head with her razor sharp nails.
