37 DOJO Café

*BEEEEP*

Danny woke to the alarm. It was 6.30am. Danny was dripping from his mouth. He wiped his face on the pillow and got up.

The 2 books were lying beside his bed. He had spent another night reading them. He was gaining some interesting facts about the systems.

Danny wiped his sleepy eyes and stood up. He quickly got his towel and took off to take a bath. 

After that, he took his dinner and sat on the couch with a bowl of ice-cream to watch the morning news. Clara was right beside him. 

"You're going out today too??"

Clara asked Danny. She knew that because he took a morning bath. He always did that whenever he went out on weekends. 

"Yes sis! Gotta go!" said Danny gulping down some ice-cream. 

His aunt on the other hand had already left the house. Now since Danny was leaving, Clara had to be alone all day long. 

Clara had a mournful look on her face. She was in her pyjamas and she was enjoying her morning coffee. 

"But! You can't leave everyday! I'm lonely!! Please stay today!" Clara begged Danny. 

Danny took another mouthful of ice-cream. 

"Can't. That's the problem! Bro too busy these days." said Danny. 

"Why? What are you doing all day long? It's suspicious now!" said Clara. 

Danny gulped down the ice-cream, a little frightened now. 

*I can't tell her about the systems! She'll go crazy! And what if she becomes one and gets killed by a player!*

Danny was reasoning with himself. 

Suddenly, he got an idea.

"I found a new set of friends! And they asked me to come with them!" said Danny to the girl. 

The girl suddenly looked so happy.

"Can I come too!!" 

Danny had made the situation worse. *Well fuck me!* Danny cursed himself. 

"No! It's a boy's only thing! Hehe..." said Danny scratching his head. The girl was expressionless. 

"Bad brother! I'm mad!" yelled Clara. 

Danny had to do this. It was for her own good. That's the thing any brother would do. 

"Oh come on! Let's go have fun at Pluto's park tomorrow!" said Danny. He knew how to tame Clara. 

"Yeeee! You go then! Have a good day brother!" jabbered Clara. Pluto's park was the most popular park in Calliberone. Everyone in Calliberone went to Pluto's park to have fun.

Danny's problem was solved already. Now he had to think about daily quests. 

He was addicted to the system now. He just wanted to see his level going up. He only wanted the XP. 

Suddenly, the news started. It was the breaking news. 

[ DAILY WEATHER! ]

"We are expecting heavy rain throughout the day. The rainy season in Mandorin will be starting from this week onwards. This is the last week of May. It's almost summer time. As usual, Mandorin's high rainfall before each summer starts from today. Have a good day! This is Bob Lancaster from Mandorin Daily."

The weather report ended. It was the school holidays. Danny was impatient. He was counting days till another week passed by. At the end of May was their Summer holiday.

Danny finished his bowl of ice-cream and quickly stood up. After cleaning up the bowl Danny rushed up the stairs to get ready. 

Danny quickly got dressed in the blue jacket he wore to school. He finally decided to fold his collar now.

He placed his wallet in the pocket in his denim and emptied his school bag to his desk. 

He was going to borrow some more books from the library of the Longwood mansion. 

Then he messaged Hannah and took off from the house waving Clara goodbye.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK!*

"These kids are early!" 

Reno yelled as he ran down the stairs to open the door. He was researching about the DOJO Café in the library. 

Reno quickly opened the door. It was Conor waiting outside. 

"Jesus man! Why are you this early?" Reno asked him.

Reno was shocked because as far as he remembered, he never really woke up that early, when he was a teen.

"Why are you surprised?" asked Conor from Reno. 

Reno was speechless. He couldn't tell Conor about his lazy past now. "Ummmm.. nothing!" said Reno and walked back into the house. 

Conor followed him in and took a seat on the couch. Claus was sitting by the fireplace typing on his Mac. 

''So where are we going today?'' asked Conor from Claus. 

"Today! We are going to the DOJO Café." said Claus. Suddenly, Conor looked like he was confused. 

"DOJO Café? Didn't it close up because of the murder cases?" asked Conor. 

"Yes! More reasons to go there!" answered Claus. 

Conor figured it out. He had no further questions. Suddenly another knock came.  

"Must be Danny!" said Draco who was bringing in the tea. He placed the tray on the table and rushed to the door to welcome them in. 

It was Danny and Hannah. Both of them came in and sat down beside Conor. 

"So, all ready for today?" asked Claus.  

"Hell yeah!" said Danny. 

"And where are we heading?" asked Hannah. 

Claus turned his Mac and showed the screen to the three. It was a news article about the murders at the DOJO Café. 

"Right! The café!" jabbered Danny. Then, Reno rushed down the stairs to meet the latecomers. 

"Danny boy! I heard! You went out for Daily Quests with Conor!" chuckled Reno entering the conversation. 

"Hahaha! Yes!" said Danny.

"Okay guys! Time to head off to the café! We have to track them down! It might take us all day..." said Claus as he turned off his Mac. 

Then, all of them went to the garage. 

All of them got into the van. It was their usual vehicle now. 

Then, all of them got into the car and took off to town. 

30 minutes later....

"Are we there yet?" Conor asked. He was utterly bored. But he was mostly impatient.

"Yes yes! We're almost there!" babbled Reno. 5 or 6 police cars went past them. Then, the cars turned right. 

"I heard that something suspicious happened at Sleepless Walks in the early morning!" said Draco looking at the cars passing by.

"Yes I saw too... Well... What to say! It's the Witch Hunt! At about now, anyone in the city could be a player! It's not hard to find one like the old days... This event will make players rain!" said Claus. 

Suddenly, it started to rain. The large city filled with tall buildings started to overflow the roads. 

But as a result of the rain, the traffic was low. 

Finally, they reached the DOJO Café. 

The whole place was caution taped. It looked like an old dojo in the eastern countries.

"Well... It's caution taped! And there are cops! How do we get there?" asked Hannah from Reno. 

"Just wait darling! Just wait!" said Reno. 

Suddenly, Reno's eyes turned yellow and he stared at the café. 

[ Spiritual vision : A skill some systems gain. Allows a player to see the presence of another player for maximum two days ]

He saw a purple figure, created by smoke running into the cafe. Then, after about 30 minutes the figure came back out and got into a car. Then, the car drove away.

"Ha! Already got you! And it's a werewolf!" yelled Reno. 

*Oh he's using spiritual vision!* thought Hannah. 

Reno turned to Hannah and grinned. As a player, it was a shame, if an experienced player was to be confused about magic. 

Then, Reno and Claus switched seats. Reno was driving now. 

"Well we're up for a bumpy ride!" taunted Danny. Everyone chuckled except Reno.

"Dude, I drive well!" yelled Reno. 

"Well then... Show us what you got!" said Draco. 

Reno turned and focused on the road. *Well it's raining! Two or three skims ain't gonna hurt!* thought Reno as he started to follow the trail of the werewolf.
