32 Daily Quests ~ part 01 ~
Danny was walking up to meet Conor at the turn. He had asked him to come with him to complete some daily quests.
"Jesus! Walking and Walking!"
Danny panted as he walked along the street to meet Conor.
Conor was level 2 just like Danny. From the book he read, he saw that every player in the same level shares the same daily quests.
It was good for him to complete them with a friend, because there must be someone to save him when he's going to die.
Danny looked at his daily quests as he walked up the street.

[Kill 2 Veil Lurkers : (0/2) +100XP]
Each day, the daily quests refreshed and there were new ones.
*That's a lot of XP! And the book said that I will earn more XP if I complete all of them within the given time!*
There was also a time given on the top of the quests.
[ 9hrs and 5 minutes remaining ]
There wasn't much time left either.
Danny started to sprint to the turn once again. The metres increased as he ran.
Suddenly, he reached the turn. Conor was standing there panting just like him. He was wearing a sweatshirt and Danny was too.
All two of them were ready for the quests.
Hannah couldn't come because she had a function to attend with her family.
"So! Where are we heading?" asked Conor from Danny.
"To... Let's just run to the forest and then let's see what we gotta do for a 2000m run." answered Danny.
"Well let's move it!" said Conor.
Then Conor and Danny started to run. Conor was fast and Danny was too.
"How bout a race?" asked Conor while they sprinted along the neighborhood.
Danny grinned. "Mhmmm... Let's do it!"
Suddenly, the two of them started to sprint through the neighborhood like they were getting chased by something.
*Ya can't beat me Danny!*
Conor ran faster than ever. He always participated in the races in the school events too.
Meanwhile Danny was already slowing down. He wasn't as good as Conor.
*Can't be beaten by this loser! Gotta run fast!!!*
Suddenly, Danny's speed increased. Danny saw something change in his mana bar.
[ Mana : 99/100 ]
*Ho shit! I'm starting to dash!*
Danny had already surpassed Conor now. But his mana was decreasing, alongside his energy.
"Ahhhh!!! Fucking hell!!" Danny was running like hell. He was speeding up more and more.
*What the fuck! He's dashing! Someone might see him!*
"Idiot! Stop dashing! Someone might see you!" yelled Conor to Danny.
Suddenly, Danny slowed down and the decreasing of mana stopped. "Damn! That felt good!" said Danny.
Suddenly, Conor sped up.
[ Mana : 99/100 ]
"Haha! Got you!"
Conor dashed past Danny as Danny slowed down.
Danny was burning inside. *This motherfucking liar!!!!!!* Danny screamed at him inside his mind.
*I'm gonna surpass you!*
Danny started to dash once again. Now the race was getting hot. Even some neighbors peeked to see their race to look at these crazy fast kids.
"Those kids are inhuman!" the whispers went by.
Danny ran and ran. Conor was in front of him in the lead.
"Hahaha!! Can't beat me! Can't beat me!" screamed Conor as he dashed through the neighborhood.
Danny wasn't backing up. Thus, his main target wasn't beating Conor.
The turn to the road that took them outside the city was at the end of Lower Parker's Lane. Now, they were almost there.

The quest popped up in front of Danny's eyes. He was too eager for that 100XP. Neither of them was slowing down.
Conor also had the daily quest popped up in front of his eyes.
[Run 2km : (1.3km/2k) +100XP]
*Almost there!* thought Conor.
[ Mana : 70/100 ]
His mana was decreasing bit by bit. And he was feeling tired now. Suddenly, he saw his energy bar.
[ Energy : 40/100 ]
His energy was running low. "Holy shit!"
There wasn't much of a difference between Danny and him.
[ Energy : 47/100 ]
Danny hadn't sprinted as much as Conor yet. So he was not running low on his energy.
After a player runs out of energy, his or her health gradually decreases. So losing energy is deadly for the players.
But, the two teens didn't stop running. They only had a little more to go. All 2 of them sprinted not looking back.
After about 6 minutes, they were only about 100 metres away from the woods now. But the two had different distances left to run.
Danny looked up at his quest.
[ Run 2km : (1.95km/2km) +100XP ]
"Only 50 more to go!" said Danny as he ran through the streets panting like a dog.
Conor looked up at his one and suddenly-
[ Daily Quest completed +100 XP ]
Conor stopped in his tracks and fell down to his knees.
"YESSS!!! HAAAA!! I FUCKING FINISHED IT!"
Conor screamed, kneeling down.
Danny looked back. He saw Conor enjoying his victory. But his metres weren't over yet.
Suddenly-
[ Daily Quest completed +100 XP ]
"Fucking yeah!!!"
Danny screamed in happiness. Then he also fell down to his knees.
[ Energy : 25/100 ]
"Ahhhh! Finally!" said Danny and laid down in the middle of the street. Conor was already sleeping in the middle of the street some metres away.
"One down! Two to go!" said Danny as he looked up at his wrist watch.
[ 05:39 pm ]
It was sundown. And they were already out of energy. But neither of them were backing up till they finished all 3 of the quests.
Or they would have been running 2000m for no reason.
Danny crawled back up and went to Conor. Conor was still lying down on the ground. He looked like he was half asleep.
"Jesus! Get up! Need to go for the next quest!" uttered Danny giving him a hand.
"Huh! You're strong I guess!" Conor said, grabbing Danny's hand. Then, Danny pushed Conor up, back to his feet.
A Hunter was stronger than a Mage. The immense strength was one of the advantages of a Hunter.
"Well there's two left! What are we going to do next?" asked Conor from Danny.
Danny looked at the woods. They were right in front of the woods.
"Well... Veil Lurkers?"
Danny asked from Conor looking a little confused. Claus warned him about the huge Veil Lurkers that they couldn't even imagine to defeat.
"Yep! Let's go!" said Conor and entered the woods. Conor had no idea about the Veil Lurkers Claus told Danny about.
"Well... Let's hope for a ghoul!"
