5 Continuation of the quests

*Loud yawn* "today is a new day and a day to get those ores that I need" Valerie said sleepily while having a faint image of fire in her eyes.

As I get up I go through my daily morning routine of waking up, treating my messy bed hair, brush my teeth and get a clean wash from the installed bath in the inn and got dressed in an outfit consisting in green and light brown shirt and jacket with matching brown shorts and brown and green stockings with brown boots that are hard enough to stop a sword from piercing through my foot.

With myself ready and presentable I went out of my room, locked it and went downstairs and had a delicious porridge that had the perfect mix of smooth, thick and creamy to the point it can just slide all the way down your throat unhindered. I quickly gobbled it all up said my thanks to the inn ladies and headed off to the guild.

Soon I arrived at the guild and entered but as I did everyone looked at me, some with lust, some with curiosity and the rest are oblivious and stare in amazement while some look at me with pity that made me quite confused. Either way I ignored them and went to the quest board for something that can keep me occupied as I walk to the mines but sadly there was none that I can currently take.

So, feeling disappointed I went to go out of the guild when Tiana came up to me and asked me with a worried and soothing tone in her voice "are you okay Valerie? If there is anything you want to talk about you can tell me okay." Bewildered I looked at her with a confused untill I realized what she was talking about as I could hear with my fox ears about how the two I tortured were totally pissed off when I brushed them away and so they wanted to get back at me and listening to this made me understand the looks I was given when I came in earlier.

I then smiled at Tiana and said "oh don't worry about me they tried to rape me and make their sex slave but instead I got them captured and tied up on a tree branch and lured some wolves over and soon left whilst hearing their screams, that died down after awhile." As I said my piece Tiana looked at me, paling at the first half but regained colour at the end and even smiled gleefully, which tells me they might have harassed her for awhile since she is that happy hearing of their possible demise.

She quickly regained her composure and and was about to talk when she was interrupted as it seems to be her working shift so she said sorry and rushed to her desk. With nothing to do I went out and went to my predetermined location of the mines.

After a long trek to the mines I was greeted with a gigantic mouth like entrance with some picks designed for mining to the side of the entrance. So I go towards them and take one and head inside until I reach the signs that read ' Beware of golems that have recently moved in ' my objective for this trip to the mine.

I then go to move forward and head deeper into the mine keeping an eye out on the boulders that can potentially be a golem, slowly I speed up, still keeping an eye on the boulders, until I can hear heavy thuds behind me and Infront of me.

As soon as I turn the corner I see multiple golems lumbering around slowly, and then just stop and turn towards me in synch that is as freaky as it is cool. I then rushed inside once the thuds behind me got louder and I swung my pick to the golem closet to me and aimed it on point to its head, the pick lodging itself inside the golems head and decapitating it as I pulled it of from the force of my swing and flew off as I stopped the swinging motion of my arms and pick.

Preparing myself, I launched into the crowd of golems and using their speed and clumsiness I was able to take one golem out with a swing of my pick and barely reached 5 minutes till all golems are wiped out with their ore like bodies left on the ground to which I used my inventory to store them inside.

After I was done with the cleanup of my massacre, I turned to see the giant that produced the thuds and was shocked at the amount of precious materials it has on it, such as mithril, orichalcum, adamantium and obsidian that has been obviously made by the gods as it doesn't lose out to the other metals in quality.

Excited as I was, I still made sure I was ready for anything unexpected to happen. Quickly I was ready and was about to attack when the giant golem starts the battle with a fast punch that would've gotten me if I wasn't as careful as I am now.

I then returned the punch with a pick covered in fast moving water that easily let the pick pierce through its head easily like a hot knife through butter, I then lodged the pick inside its head and dragged the head and its whole body into a flip that drives it down into the earth, causing an earthquake and some rocks to fall down from the ceiling.

I moved away from the body as fast as I could while I removed the pick from its massive head and reached a sizeable distance that left it for me to attack physically or magically.

And as I did so, the body started to move and heaved itself upwards and started to turn towards me and me being me I shot a highly pressurised water blade towards its right leg, that I could tell is supporting most of its body weight, and cleaved it off along with its whole body falling, I then did the same to its arms and it's other leg, not wanting to waste time I decapitated its head and stored all of it in my inventory.

With my work done I started to head to the entrance but soldiers appeared and raised their weapons at me with mixed faces of dazed, lust and fear. "Hold!" said a booming voice that especially hurt my ears so I try and cover them up so I don't go deaf from the noise. "Now young Miss, I must ask if you know the cause of the earthquake earlier on as it would be very appreciated if you did and if you could tell us the details of what it might have been as we have located the origin of it to here." The one who said this was a valiant and roughed up middle aged looking man with wild black hair and rough features that compliment his masculinity and was the source of my near deafness. "Yes I do know as it was caused by me fighting a powerful giant golem, to which I tried to damage its obsidian body by making it fall on a sharp enough pillar but it only scratched it, I also received some assistance by someone as that person used magic to slice it up but left with the head leaving the body to me, to which I put it into my item box for safe keeping. So you don't have to worry about it." I finished with a sweet smile that visibly relaxed most of the soldiers and the leader.

After awhile of negotiations on how to approach the situation, we went with a female adventurer getting some help by the guard of the town to take down the powerful giant golem and that we would split the money into 7:3 with me gaining 7th of the portion.

After the event I ranked up to Rank E as I did defeat a C rank monster with some minor help and now I have to prepare for my test to rank up to D Rank next week so I have to train some more and also get used to killing humanoid monsters like goblins and taking an intelligent creatures life and golems don't count.
