9 He is too close!

Takahiro brought his face towards Kahoru's ear.

"Because the guest room is only for guests and you are simply my wife. Am I not wrong, Pouty?"

The words Takahiro had said left Kahoru speechless. Even if they barely knew each other, they were married regardless.

They were going to sleep in the same bed.

Kahoru's heart felt like it was beating so fast that her heart could jump out of her body anytime soon.

With that, Takahiro pulled his face away and took a few steps back from Kahoru. The next few words made Kaho feel even more nervous. Although his voice was cold, she could sense that he was mocking her.

"Also, who In their right mind calls their husband by their last name? Come on, call me by my first name."

When Kahoru and Takahiro were close as children, they could say their first names without hesitation. But this? This was an entirely different situation.

Kaho stared at the ground, she felt incredibly nervous. She tried to spit his name out, but nothing came out.

Suddenly out of nowhere, Takahiro pulled Kahoru's arm with her body following along, away from the wall and wrapped his arm around his wife's waist.

Kaho's eyes widened as her body was pressed against Takahiro's. While Kahoru was completely dumbstruck, Takahiro pressed his forehead against hers.

Wait! Wasn't he a little too close?

They were practically about to kiss! Kahoru stared into his eyes and suddenly Takahiro's expression became serious. "Are you going to say it? If you don't, I'll kiss you."

"K-kiss?" Kahoru averted her eyes, clearly trying to avoid his gaze. She then looked down in thought and gazed back. She could feel his breath.

Her voice was shaky and with her soft voice she quietly uttered his name. "T-Taka...h-hiro."

"Say it again but louder."

"Takahiro..."

"Good girl pouty. But why don't you call me something else."

Kahoru thought about it and simply said with a expressionless face, "Mr. Ichinomiya."

"Huh?" Takahiro was Baffled. He turned his body dragging Kahoru along and pushed her onto the bed. Kahoru could not help but yelp.

This wasn't the first time he hovered on top of her.

There was that time at the restaurant. How embarrassing. They were fortunate that no one walked in on them.

"O-Oi! Takahiro..."

"Mrs. Ichinomiya, Let's try something different."

"L-like what?"

Mrs Ichinomiya? She got the taste of her own medicine. It felt incredibly weird hearing him say that.

"Like... Hubby."

Kahoru gulped. She would never say that word, but she was about to get kissed so she went along with him.

"H-hubby."

"One more time."

"Hubby!"

"Good." Takahiro faintly curved his lips upward. He patted Kahoru's head.

Did he just smile? Kaho was completely bewildered. It was the first time she had seen him smile. It was quite cute.

After a wild moment on the bed, Takahiro climbed off the bed. He was about to walk out of the room, he realised he forgot to tell her something. "Pouty. You should get ready soon, we will be going out for dinner. Oh and make yourself at home."

"I will... thanks. She still laid on the bed unable to process what had just happened. How many times will this guy get close to her? Did he spend too much time in America?

She felt a little strange, but she brushed that feeling off. She was about to unpack her clothes and when she opened the drawer, it was filled with socks.

"Takahiro, wait."

"Where should I put my clothes?"

"Oh that. you don't need them."

"Huh? What do you mean I don't need them?"

"Your sense of style is like a granny."

"These are the only clothes I have."

"Let's go."

"Go where?"

"The mall."

Before Kaho could say anything, Takahiro was already on the phone.

"Tanaka I need you to come back."

...

Many rich families usually give their child the best of the best. Kahoru's family was quite different. Kahoru grew up in a commoner environment as both of her parents were commoners. They even lived in a small home. After Makoto's hospital became popular, he had decided to buy his family a bigger home.

Makoto started his clinic at the age of twenty-seven and then expanded it to a hospital. Once he turned fifty, he decided to step down and handed the hospital over to Kenjiro.

Although he was not his biological son, he loved him dearly.

Although The Yukimura children went to a prestigious high school, it was like any other school. Kahoru moved to a public high school when she left for the U.S.

The Ichinomiya family on the other hand did live in a rich home, but they taught their children to respect others as there is no class and to treat everyone equally.

It was because Makoto had saved Kenshin in a car accident and they bonded afterwards. Kenshin had learnt about commoners after meeting Makoto, but let's save that for another story.

...

It was 1pm.

Takahiro and Kahoru finished getting ready. They walked to the car that was waiting for them and headed to the Luxury mall.

They parked in a V.I.P spot and headed inside the mall. Kahoru had already be been here yesterday, so she wasn't really interested.

She was only following Takahiro because she did not know anything about fashion. Ryōma had also tagged along.

They first walked into a high class store. There were many good clothes that were way out of Kahoru's price range.

Kahoru followed Takahiro as he handed the clothes to Kahoru each time he found something he liked. The pile of clothes on her arms were getting bigger to the point to Ryōma had to help. After finding the clothes. He made Kahoru try on all of them.

"Try then on."

"All of them?"

"Yes."

It was going to be a long day. Each time Kahoru came back out, she was in a new outfit; winter, summer, spring and Autumn apparel.

There were dresses, skirts, shirts, jumpers, jackets, shorts, overalls etc. There were too many to count.

Takahiro called the Attendant over.

"I'll take all of these."

"Y-yes sir!"

"Wait. I don't have any money"

"I'm paying for them. Don't worry."

"But-"

Takahiro wrapped his arm around Kahoru's shoulder. "Can I not buy things for my wife?"

"You can, but you can't just buy out half of the store..."

"I can."

"Ah..."

How rich was this man? Kaho thought. Cause they were married, it meant Kaho owned half of Takahiro's share. She never really thought about money. All she had was just enough to get by.

"Tanaka. Take these bags back and come back for more. Bring Hiraizawa along too.

"Y-yes..."

Ryōma took the huge pile of bags back to the car and drove off to find Hiraizawa.

The couple took a break and had a small lunch at a sushi restaurant. "Takahiro, why are you doing this for me?"

"Your taste in clothes are horrendous."

"Is that really all you have to say?"

"Yes."

After they finished lunch, they went to meet with Ryōma and Hiraizawa.

"Good afternoon my lady. My name is Hiraizawa Junpei. I am Your Husband's Assistant."

"Nice to meet you Mr. Hiraizawa"

"Let's go. We need to buy the rest of the clothes." Takahiro looked at his watch and started to walk towards a store. Instead of casual, this time it was formal.

They spent the rest of the day shopping for more clothes and Kahoru got restless.

"Can we rest now?"

"Okay."

Kahoru was surprised at herself that she let her own husband do her shopping. He had much better taste than her.
