11 Welcome To The Academy

Slipping the engraved stone back into his pocket. I could see what looked like a forwards and backwards ∑.

Speaking up I commented, "So what do those symbols mean?" Namjoom stopped then pulled his hand back out of his pocket along with the stone. He held it in his palm showing it to me. "Well this is a moonstone. A fallen star that lights your path, guides you...."

Seeing my unsatisfied facial expression. He followed with, "But the simplest explanation is it's an instrument of travel. These here symbols are our Academy's logo. Typically, a symbol signifying a place and/or location will be engraved on traveling instruments. Like this moonstone here".

As Namjoom spoke these last words. He rubbed his thumb over the engraving in the moonstone. Then proceeded to slip it back into his pocket.

"So to begin our tour. This here building is the library". He pointed to a building looking as if it belonged in Rome. As it beared the likeness of the famous Colosseum. Which was made out of a reddish, sandstone-like hue. While along the side of the building, continued the Italian theme was a piazza area. Then in-between the main building and the piazza was a 6 step-staircase built in a crescent like shape.

*High pitched scream

"Omg I can't believe you guys finally showed up"! exclaimed an overethuastic blonde female. Whom seemed to be directing her questions towards Jordie, Shania and Josey.

"I've got to take y'all to see the other's... You guys are so mean, saying it would be a few more days before you arrived..."

<Clearing throat> "So shall we continue?" Asked Namjoon which dragged me out of my daze.

"Humph. We're not here to watch y'all socialize. Got better things to do" spoke an aggravated Yoongi.

Everyone froze taking a quick glance amongst themselves. When Meg spoke up, " It's okay guys. I'll accompany Bethana on the rest of the tour and will message you when we can meet up in front of the Admin Building".

*Time skip

Back at center of four buildings: The Library, The Administration Building, The Professors Sleeping Quarters and Offices.

I stared at the Looming building in front of me. I thought, "So that's the admin building... Well <Glup> This is it...".

"Hey. You okay? We're here with you, alright. Don't forget that. The other's may not be here at this moment but they are on their way." said Meg.

"Shall I lead you inside?..." asked Namjoon.

Namjoon reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. "Oh you're back?... Of course that happened.....😑

Ok. I'll head there immediately." Namjoon hung up and looked at me apologetic. "I'm sorry but I'm needed".

"It's no problem. You have done more than enough" I said trying to express my gratitude to Namjoom for the tour of the academy stopping short at the Admin Building.

"Nonsense. I'll I did was walk you around. But, Yoongi do you mind?..."said Namjoon.

<Sigh> "Follow me. I'll show you to the admittance station" spoke Yoongi. Whom began walking forward and up the stairs.

"I wanted to finish this quickly.....So tired. Bad decision to follow this girl from the start. Troublemaker". He mumbled to himself.

I rolled my eyes, "Does he even know the word nice". I directed this question at Meg. Whom smiled and gave me a slight nug as we walked up the stairs entering the Library.

Once inside, I came face-to-face with an elegant, classic and luxurious hall. The design of the interior was: brown walls, beige marble flooring, white doors and white plaster moldings.

Looking around at the gorgeous interior design. My eyes fell on the back of Yoongi. Who was walking in front of me.

<Sigh> He is handsome with his delicate features. "But, that vicious manner of speech" I thought while shaking my head. Of course, it does match well with those maroon/reddish highlights in his dark hair. I really can see him being a fire elementist. But water...." I tilted my head lost in thought.

When he suddenly turned around. Eyes narrowed. "You two are slow..." Following with a quick look over his should, "It's the next room over"

"Such an icy stare. Hmm, I wonder...ice? That would fall under a form of water."

Following, Yoongi into the room.

I was immediately drawn to the center of the room. Losing my bearings of the other twos location. I walked towards a clear crystal sphere ball reaching out to touch it.

At first, all I could see was white fog spinning around inside but it automatically darkened.

Then an greenish light began forming from the center. When suddenly! A wild greenish fire came spiraling out of the sphere.

But just as quickly. I was pulled backwards by a hand which remained grasping my upper arm. While another hand was lightly touching the mid of my back. I looked to my side expecting to see Meg but was shocked at the sight of Yoongi. He wasn't looking at me but was solely fixated on the greenish fire that was dispersing back into the crystal.

"Welcome Daughter, last of The Khan's...." Attention drawn back to the sphere. I could see a light in it's center with the remanence of the greenish flame contained just on the outside surface of the sphere.

The incorporeal like voice continued..."A family whose descendants were know to be blessed with extraordinary gifts became fewer and fewer. Until only one branch of descendants with gifts remained...

Then on the 13th of April. The Khans were whipped out suddenly..."

The greenish flame surrounding the sphere, reared up once more. Causing me to jump and grab a hold of the back of Yoongi's shirt with my right hand. Of course the flame didn't arc out as previously but only rose up maybe a foot high in the air.

Again the incorporeal like voice continued speaking, "With only a green flame left flickering about the devastated family estate. No family remains were discovered, thought to have all parished in the fire. Until now..." spoke the chilling, indifferent feminine like voice coming from the sphere.....
