2 The Unknown Meeting Of Many

Jerking awake, heart racing and my clothing sticking to my skin. I sat up, wide awake.

Scenes of the dream fading fast from my mind. I shrugged my shoulders, deciding to put the eerie dream in the back of my mind.

I glance at the clock, 7:35 AM.

"Just another ordinary day. Got to be at the Salon in around an hour" I thought sighing to myself.

I'm unsatisfied with my life... But it's my own fault for having no idea, what I want. I chastised myself as I stood up from the bed.

I walked towards the bathroom, turned the knob on the shower and grabbed a towel, throwing it on the hanging rack. Then jumped into the shower.

*Time skip

Phone ringing * * *

I rushed into my bedroom snatching up my phone off the charger without glancing at the clock.

"Hey part-timer bring us coffee" said a snarky male voice on the other end.

I rolled my eyes hearing the voice of the previous part-timer, Rick.

Now I'm no saint but this guy is the devil. And hey now, I try to give everyone the benefit of a doubt. But this guys is what he is, a jerk. From the moment he was assigned to train me.

However, I had a small sense of hope that I wouldn't have to deal with him much. Since he's been promoted to employee status and has begun shadowing the other hair dressors'. Of course he's only got small roles doing some hair washing, minimal hair coloring and trimming.

Except I was proving wrong. His ego has gotten bigger and he's even more of a pain in the a** than before.

"and make sure it's from the bosses favorite store" he said as he was hanging up.

That ***Hole. Phoning me after he promised to get the boss and the other hair dressors' coffee, yesterday. Such a suck up. "Oh crap. Im gonna have to get going if I want to get to the coffee shop and make it to the salon before everyone arrives".

*******************************

Fast paced walking.

I'm making my way up the street. Doing well not to bump into any one, spilling the various coffees' that I'm carrying.

Breathing another sigh of relief and a brief cheer to myself from avoiding the last collision.

I was suddenly pushed from behind. Closing my eyes I waited for the impact. While thinking, "serves me right wishing for something extravagant in my life. When I haven't even got my life together and now I'll probably be fired".

Except my fall never happened. Since I hand begun stumbling. I felt a tingling pressure around my body. Then a pair of hands, guiding my own hands that were holding the coffee.

Shocked.

I opened my eyes to met emerald green ones which belonged to a girl. Whom is roughly around my age. She had short brown hair with one side tucked behind her right ear revealing her upper ear piercing.

"Wow" I thought.

She smiled at me which returned me to my senses.

"Thank you"

"It's no problem best not zone out again... Ok" she said with a wave and a turn on her heel.

A thought flashed to my mind why am I not on the ground. I looked back towards the girl. Who was now, no where in sight in the crowd of people.

Shaking my head and glancing over my body. My eye caught my watch, 8:56 AM. "Oh... Im going to be late" I said, continuing on my way to the Salon.
