6 The Morning After

Flashback***

Early Saturday morning and I'm walking on the street in my pajama pants and tank top. Of course my clothing attire probably doesn't reflect this image to those around me.

Yes, Just a normal day here. Nothing to see...Except hours earlier my friends that I've known for over a decade. Are leaving... For an academy?!?

I mean I feel like I should have known. I feel like they should have told me. So I would have been prepared. Instead we had gone out and had a good time, last night. Then we had all came back to Shaina's house. Cracked opened wine and were played a few classic games. Until Meg got sappy from the alcohol and stated, "I wish we could continue this while at the academy".

That's were my world crumbled. They told me that they had put it off for as long as possible. "Ha!" Even going as far to say that it would be difficult for them because of their ages. That's when I had stormed out and onto the street.

Really it's quite a blurr now. I remember listening to them but I just became so emotionally overwhelmed. That I just had to leave.

Now I'm here at a cross walk waiting for the sign to change, indicating that it's safe to walk across the street.

Dazed.

I began walking forward. Glimpsing a guy with a hat pulled down, shadowing his features.

He shoved another guy in the back! My attention drawn to the guy thats falling forward. I barely glimpse the guy with the hat fading into the crowd across the street.

Unknown to myself at the time. I had sent out an unconscious wave of spiritual energy rushing outwards and towards the falling guy. While I darted forward, placing my hands underneath his. To guide his hands in a leveling manner to avoid spilling the coffee.

Back in a standing position. I locked eyes with the guy. Which were kind of hooded but I could still make out the gorgeous deep brown coloring. Then taking in a quick overall view of his round, slightly chubby cheeks down to his plump lips and his tousled hair that was falling down over his forehead.

I quickly gave a shy smile. Like having been caught with my hand in the cookie jar.

This apparently prompted the guy to thank me. Which I responded more so for myself than him. "no problem... best not zone out again... Ok". Then continued on my way.

----------------------

Unknown to me at this time. Two bystanders had been watching my actions really closely. That they decided amongst themselves to continue following me across the street.
