95 If it ain't about the moooney

Entering Kaneshiro's palace once again, the Thieves could clearly see a long bridge connecting the floating bank to Shibuya Central Street.

"Fay, drive us there!" ordered Shin, pointing to the bank.

"Alright." Morgana quickly jumped into the air and turned into his bus form.

It was a rather boring ride to the bank, if not for the fact that they were getting higher and higher.

"Whoa! We're so high up!" said Ryuji, looking down.

"I don't think it's a good idea to look down." commented Shiho.

Meanwhile, Shin went up to the doors of the bank and put one hand on the door.

"Hm... Mahogany."

Yusuke walked up to Shin and asked.

"Should we just enter now?"

"Wait a second." said the black-haired teen.

He cracked his fingers and took a step back, then quickly stepped forward and with the full strength of his body, he thrust his left leg into the door's lock. The lock quickly broke, letting the doors swing open.

The loud noise attracted every Shadow's attention, and quick enough, a few guards appeared, swinging their batons threateningly.

"Hey, you." shouted Shin, pointing at the receptionist Shadows. "Get your boss in here. And do it fast!"

But it seemed that he didn't even need to shout, as only moments later, Shadow Kaneshiro himself appeared before him.

The fat and short Shadow has violet skin, wearing a silver business suit and has a mustache. He has black hair, with a bang covering the right side of his face.

'I will never understand why he has a mustache as a Shadow. And it's not even a particularly good one.' thought Shin.

"What is it that you want, you ruffian?" asked Kaneshiro, derisively.

"I came to ask you of your location in the real world." said Shin.

"Oh? And why would I do that?" asked Kaneshiro, a small mocking smile on his face. "Not like you have anything to trade for that information."

As he said that, Shin swiftly took out his gun and shot Kaneshiro in the leg, just below his kneecap.

"Argh!" the shadow exclaimed.

The shadow guards immediately charged at Shin, but he dodged out of the way and shoved the shadows out through the door, letting the rest of the thieves deal with them.

Of course, there were a few guards left inside, but Shin was more than capable to dispatch them by himself.

At the same time, Kaneshiro tried to scramble away, but Shin quickly fired one more shot, which made him only be able to crawl. But the shadow couldn't do much, anyways, as the teen went after him shortly afterwards.

"So, feel like talking now?" asked the black-haired boy, cocking his gun.

"Y-Yes. I'll speak. So please, leave my legs attached!" said Kaneshiro, cowering on the floor.

Meanwhile, outside.

"What do you think he's doing inside?" asked Ryuji.

"Maybe he needs to take a bathroom break." suggested Yusuke.

"I don't think this is the best place for that." said Ann.

-INTERMISSION-

Back in the real world.

Once Shin had thoroughly interrogated Kaneshiro, he exited the bank and just gestured the other thieves to follow him out, saying they'd get to the treasure another day.

He said his goodbyes to the other thieves, and sent Morgana off to do some task, then headed to where he knew Kaneshiro would be.

Thankfully, it didn't take all that long for him to reach Kaneshiro's hideout. As he stood in front of the door, he put on a pair of sunglasses, covered his hands with some surgery gloves that are easily obtainable at any pharmacy, and covered his lower face with a disposable mask, pulling up the hood over his head as well.

It seemed as if most of Kaneshiro's underlings were out to collect their daily quota, which made Shin's infiltration much easier. He easily took down the few guards patrolling around.

By that point, Kaneshiro must've noticed something went amiss, as he stood up from the sofa he was sitting on and went to call for someone, but at that moment, Shin flung a knife he picked up from one of the guards. The sharp object whizzed past Kaneshiro's head, barely missing his ear, but the shock made him drop the phone.

Not caring about Kaneshiro himself, Shin headed for his case.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?! Where the hell is everyone?!" shouted Kaneshiro.

Unfazed, the teen used the combination he learned from Shadow Kaneshiro to open the case, revealing the stacks of money neatly arranged inside. Shin picked up one glass of whatever alcoholic drink Kaneshiro was having before, he spilled the drink inside the case and used a lighter to light it on fire, all the while Kaneshiro was looking on in horror as his 'hard-earned' money went up in smoke.

Shin waved his hand goodbye to Kaneshiro as he left, all the while chuckling on the inside.

'Take that, Shido. Now your association won't get that money.'
