5 Chapter 5

I am on the ship again. We are going back to foosha village. I know we can't stay any longer. This was our final supplies trip before we leave for the grand line again. My crew has been amazing and patient. But, it is time. I don't know how I will break it to Luffy, though. Thinking of Luffy, I swear I feel a foreboding feeling. I check my wrist to make sure, and I see it turning gray around the edges. Gray. That means she is badly injured.

If my mark turns completely gray, she's dead.

"Ben" How far out or we from foosha.

" About 10 minutes caption. What is wrong. "

" Ben, my mark is graying."

There is a sharp intake of breath from my first mate. Even though she is my soulmate. The crew has also fallen in love with her. Her ditzy nature, her love for stories, her caring nature and how she is the best listener on the planet. She grew on them like if you look at a koala bear long enough, you can't bear to not fall in love with its cute looks.

The crew was happy for the vacation, as they called it. We just got back from months on months of nasty weather and tough fights. We have taken this time to visit family we have in East Blue.

We arrived at the docks, and nobody was there. My bad feeling got worst, and the gray on my wrist got more pronounced, covering half of the first words that lu first said to me. The whole crew is tense.

When we arrive on the scene, I am burning with anger. It is those dam bandits. I see the mayor begging with Makino to the bandits to let lu go.

Lu has rips all along her dress. Her feet were bruised and bleeding. She has a cut under her eye, blood dripping down her face. I see the head bandit with a knife in his hand and blood on it. His foot is on her face. She has a gash on the back of her head and looked to be knocked out. I see her slowly open her eyes. She turns her head slightly, and blood on her face becomes even more visible. She then looks confused.

Looking at me like she doesn't recognize what is going on. A smile, She then graces me with a smile. That says It is going to be ok. Don't worry, what's wrong. Please be happy. My emotions come back like a hurricane, and I growl as her eyes droop close. The crew is in action. We knock out or kill every single bandit. The head bandit tried to take Luffy to the ocean. To the pirate's domain. To the sea. How dare he.

Before he could do anything, I cut off his head with my favourite sword, Gryphon. I caught lu.

The next few hours were stressful for everyone. Our doctor and the village doctor are working on lu. My mark was slowly going back to normal. When I see her, I can't help but smile.

" Your ok, your smiling again," she says so pleasedly.

" When are you going back to sea." She says with a curious look.

" I, lu, we need to talk."

" Ok," She says, sounding unsure.

" I was planning to go back to the grand line, but" She cuts me off before I can say I am not leaving.

" That is amazing. I will really miss you, but I can't keep you from the call of the sea." She says with so much conviction

" Shanks, I will meet you at the top, so you have to wait for me at the top." I am stunned. I do feel the call, and as much as I love this little firecracker. I miss the sea. I say something that will stun me for a while.

" Well then to meet me at the top. You have to become king of the pirates." I say, a little breathless. She greets me with a smile full of convention and will and says

" I will become king of the pirates and meet you at the top." I plop my straw hat on her head, and her eyes widen.

Five days and it is finally time to go. I have a little gift for lu as we board the ship for lat time at foosha island. Luffy comes to send us off. I kneel next to her and give her a transponder snail with our number programmed in and a charm bracelet with a glass vile on it with our flag symbol and a piece of Vivre Card inside.

" In case you ever need to find me. My little firecracker, before I trap her in a hug. "

As we leave and The boarding plank raises up, we all hear.

" I gonna be king of the pirates, so you better be ready shanks."

I chuckle, and it turns into a light laugh which turns into the entire crew laughing their hearts out.
