(Mia's POV)

Mia was so nervous, she was off to school and be a hair dresser. I had taken so much convincing for her parents to let her move out on her own. They had agreed only because she could was in the same building as her best friend. Who was going for massage therapy, she reassured my parents that I would be safe, so they agreed, I have an older brother, who lived on the other side of the world, he was a marine biologist, but my parents never forced us to go into things we wouldn't like.

I put the last box into my little truck, and turned to look at my parents. Mom, was in tears, and my dad fighting to not break down too.

"Well, my little girl, may God be with you, and be safe." Dad said giving me a tight hug.

"Papa, we're only two hours away, you can come whenever you want."

"Mami, it's not the same as if I had you in the house." Mom had finally found her voice again, and came to give me a hug too.

"Mama, you too, don't think I'll forget about you guys, I love you, and I'll come to visit."

"Maybe even with a boy..."

"Ah, don't start filling her head with that nonsense, she's going there to study and better herself, not get some...."

Mom and I let him rant, while she gave me a mischievous smile and an other hug.

"Be safe, mami, and don't let no man less then you, take you for a fool."

I hugged her, I had just broken up with my boyfriend a few months ago, and he had been trying to get back with me while having an other girlfriend, that was an other reason I was leaving, he was a feakin stalker.

"No, Mama, I promise."

She pulled away from me, and then I turned to look at my parents, and turned on my truck and backed out of the drive-way, and onto the road to the start of my new life. As I drove I couldn't help feel nervous, scared, and sad.

I wasn't a little girl anymore, and my parents had given me such a great life with them. I was always going to have that in mind, they I'm doing this to show that I can. So I wiped away my sad tears, and thought about happy things.

Two and a half hours later, I parked my truck, in my parking spot, and called Eve, my best friend, from when we were in third grade. She had been my bully, but after I broke her nose, and she gave me a black eye, we became friends.

"Hey, I'm here can you help me?"

"Sure, I'll be down in a bit...stop." she whispered.

"Let me guess Robert is there?"

"Hey, MJ?"

I rolled my eyes, but I guess I was just salty that her boyfriend had been with her from when we were in sophomores in high school and he a junior.

"Hey Rob, so come on I need some help."

"Okay coming!" she squealed and hung up. I looked at my phone, and cringed.

"Those two." I got out and went to the back, and took out the boxes.

"Hey, MJ." I heard the voice and froze, then carefully turned to look behind the door.

"Mitch, how did you find me?"

"I followed you."

I felt my insides twist, and I held on tight to my pepper spray. Mitch, had been stalking me and leaving things on my truck, at my parents door. We had tried to get a restrainting order but the town sheriff was his Dad's best friend.

"Leave me alone, or else..."

"Or else what, MJ, you can't do anything to me?"

"Mitch, get the hell away from her, you jerk!" Eve and Robert, had arrived.

"We're just having a conversation, right MJ."

"And don't call me that, you lost all right to call me that when you cheated on me!"

"Well, if you'd give out..."

"That's why I didn't, you don't care about me, you just want to sleep with me, and be gone well not going to happen."

"Mitch, get lost, before I pave the side walk with your face!"

Mitch, glared up at Robert, who was a whole head taller, then him. For a few minutes, they just glared at each other, but soon Mitch smiled smugly.

"It's all cool, see ya around, babe." he said turning to me.

Robert, shook his head, as Mitch got into his car and drove off.

"You okay?" he said turning back to Eve and I.

"I just don't understand why he won't leave well enough alone."

"I told you not to give him a chance, but no' oh, but he's so sweet and romantic' seriously?"

I gave Eve a look I got what she meant, she had told me not to give Mitch a chance, he had already slept with half the girls in the school. He just showed me a side of himself that was so sweet, and understanding, but every time we went out he would try and slip a hand up my shorts, or into my shirt, to start something. I kept thinking I would be ready to give myself to him, but I just couldn't he was pressuring me too much, until he tried to really push it, and I flat out turned him down, the next few days he was distant, and a few weeks later I found out he was cheating on me. I broke up with him, but that's when the stalking started, if someone was interested in me, he'd somehow get to them and they'd walk away from me. All the while he had his girlfriends and such, but he wouldn't let me move on with my life.

"You know what forget about him, let's get your stuff inside."

We each grabbed my last boxes, and headed into the building, I had told the landlord about Mitch, and he was a youngish guy himself so he knew who he was looking for. I unlocked the door, and we went in. My apartment was a one bedroom, a small walk in closet, and bathroom, kitchen, and small living room. Down the hall was Eve's and Robert's apartment, they were living together while they were here.

I had already put up some things and wasn't done yet, I was really trying to make this place as much mine as possible. We placed the boxes into my room, which was on the fourth floor, I looked out and found that Mitch was now parked across the street. I sighed and got away from the windows.

"Well, thank you so much, and you two can get back to whatever you two were doing."

"Not a chance, some on, we're going out to eat, to get your mind off that jerk!"

"Okay where are we going?"

Eve wouldn't tell me, but we down and out to Roberts truck. They took me to a bar/ restaurant, as we took our seats, I saw Mitch take his seat a ways away.

We ordered and were soon laughing and having fun, every so often I'd look up and Mitch was getting closer and closer, soon a guy came to sit with us. He started to talk to me, and cue Mitch.

"Hey, Babe, sorry I'm...."

"Mitch we are so over, get the hell out of here!" I cut him off, but the guy left anyway, with that Mitch went back to his seat. After we ate, we drank a couple drinks, Eve had a fake ID one of which her parents didn't know, and she had gotten me one as a gag gift, after I threw it she apparently had saved it. She showed both IDs and got us some drinks. I couldn't believe it honestly, but I drank the one drink they got me, and called it quits. I guess I was the driver tonight, as Robert was buzzed and Eve was wasted after a while, Robert told me we were leaving. I agreed and followed him as we headed out, I ran into someone.

"I'm so sorry I...." I froze, the guy was...holy freak, hot! His eyes a baby blue, his hair was a dark brown, medium length, oval face and a slight jawline, covered in a light scruff of beard and mustache, he was tall like a whole foot maybe taller then me and I stood at 5'5. His skin was tan he must work in the sun, and the full lips.

"It's fine just watch where you're going." he said in a deep voice, that sent a chill down my spin.

"I..I.um..."he didn't even wait or anything just helped me stand straight, and turned away.

"MJ, come on!" I heard Robert, I shook my head, and turned to find where he was at and followed him out, then I glanced back at where the guy might've gone, but he was lost in the crowd.

(Levi's POV)

Stupid humans and their idiocy, I have worked with them and they just had a way of screwing up the simplest of things. Ronan, always told me to have patience, but I didn't like screw ups. My father had a very big construction company, and most of our pack worked with him, then there was me and Andy, we worked on cars, we customized them and we made good money, we weren't rich but enough that we didn't have to live with the pack.

See there was this one rule, no women, were allowed unless they were authorized by my father. So most of the men in our pack didn't have mates, and those that did had their mates on a tight rope. Ronan, my father's second was the only one that knew why this was, but even when my father had us promise celibacy, Ronan gave us the chance to go out, and meet women as long as we kept it under wraps. I had grown up with my father, and had seen the pain he had, and it hurt me to see that that's what a woman did to him, but he never showed it in front of the others, and as the alpha he didn't need to explain his word was law.

I had tried to meet women, but like my father said they just wanted money, and I refuse to be anyone's piggy bank.

"Levi, what's on your mind?"

"Nothing, I just don't understand why you insist that we meet here, I hate being around humans."

"Yeah, yeah, but there she is."

I looked over in the direction he was looking, he was looking at the bar tender. She was beautiful, blond, and petite.

"What do you think?"

"I think my father is not going to like her."

"Come on man, I've been seeing her for about, two months..."

I turned to look back at him, and raised my eyebrows at him.

"You've been seeing a woman behind my back?"

"If I told you then I'd have to dump her, and I can't I know...she's the one."

"The one what?"

There was this goofy, glassy look across his face.

"She's my ma....." I grabbed him by the shirt, and pulled him toward me.

"Don't you dare say it, that...is your....you just go for the first piece of ass that crosses you?!"

"Shut up, you don't know her!"

"Andy, she's not..."

"Go to hell, Levi, I told you because you're my best friend, but I was wrong.."

"Don't you dare bring that into the pack she'll have...."

Andy's fist made contact with my and I let him go, we were both on our feet, huffing trying to control his wolf.

"Take outside!" I turned to look and it was the same woman that Andy had pointed at, " I mean it, take it outside!"

She ordered, Andy, did this little cowboy thing, as he had a cowboy hat on, and walked toward the door. I rolled my eyes, and followed him out.

"So it's already started, you let her walk all over you!"

"It was either that or get tazed, man."

"This is why we shouldn't have mates, Andy, they want to control everything we do and where we go, have you even told her what you are?"

"Yeah, I told her I've even shown her my wolf, and she's accepted me."

"You what?"

"Love, Levi, she loves me, and decided to look past the whole wolf thing, if she loves you she won't care."

I grabbed him by the front of the shirt.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"

"I found her, Levi, and it wasn't as bad as your father has been telling us, I can't....I couldn't stay away from her, and I don't plan on doing it."

I looked into my best friend's eyes, and saw his determination, then slowly put him down.

"All I ask, is you don't tell anyone, Ronan knows, he found out, but he promises not to tell Marcus."

"Good luck with that, I just hope you don't regret it later."

With that I pushed him away and walked to my car.
