(Narrator )

It was a cold December night, it was snowing outside, and the happy couple, was sitting by the fire, while their baby slept in his room. The crackle of the fire, being almost the only sound apart from their whispers, and every so often their kisses.

"Mmm, it's pretty cold out tonight I better go check on the baby, make sure he's warm enough."

The man playfully puller his wife into his arms.

"Warm me up first." he said kissing her deeply, and running his hands under her shirt.

"Hmmm, if you let me go I'll come back quickly then I'll really set you on fire."

"Oh, like the sound of that." she woman giggled and jumped back up and walked away quickly, while her husband, playfully smacked her butt.

He turned his attention back to the fire, he was glad they were out here, in the mountain cabin, spending time together, he had almost lost her a few months ago, they had hit a rough time, with her wanting to have a baby and him at work so much, but once he got his promotion and had finally taken some time, she told him the good news, she was pregnant, he was over joyed and he realized he needed some time off, so he planned it just right, and six months after the birth of their first baby, they had taken a family vacation.

He sat back, as he could hear her talking to their son, he had woken up. He shook his head, with a small laugh, but got up and turned to find someone standing right behind him.

"Who the hell are you?" were his last words, his body falling to the ground with his throat ripped out.

The other person walked up the stairs, to toward the baby and the woman.

The woman was just putting her baby back into his crib and lulling him back to sleep, when she heard a thud from down stairs, she smiled to herself wondering what her naughty husband was getting up to. A few minutes later, the door to the baby room lightly squeaked open.

"He's almost asleep just give....what are you doing here?" he had looked over her shoulder, to find the a man in the doorway. He didn't say anything, just glared at her, then at the baby in the crib. Then walking into the room.

"I can explain just let me...please don't hurt him!"

Screams that no one could hear, sounded through out the cabin, then it was silent. The man looked in at the baby, how was just quietly laying their, as if he knew who he was looking at.

A few hours later the fire department was called, there was a cabin on fire. They put it out as fast as they could, and found two bodies, but the families reported that there should be a third, a baby. No baby body was ever found, so the police had a kidnapping on their hands, but where would they even start, when there aren't any suspects. Even twenty- sight years later, one relative is still trying to figure out what happened to their sister, and her brother-in-law, and her nephew.
