14 A Gift From The God's
|Third Pov Theodore|
It was a new day and for the Hunt Family as they woke up lazily on a Monday morning.
They sat around the little round table that was next to their living room and had breakfast.
Their breakfast was caramelised waffles with fruits and a cup of juice.
"Hey Dad, you're like super cool now, so why don't you have a girlfriend," Asked Rose while citing into her waffles.
"Well, maybe It's because I'm too cool," Said Theodore smugly
Rose and Chloe looked at Theodore reflecting on his reason before giving each other an understanding nod.
"So dad, do you like Aunty Nat and Aunty Jennifer," Asked Chloe with expectation glistening in her deep blue eyes.
Theodore didn't even hesitate as he said "Yeah, they're smart, beautiful and sometimes fun. What's not too like"
Rose and Chloe were startled by their dad's sudden honest confession before saying "Like, Like, Right"
"Sure," Said Theodore while biting down on his waffle.
It was only after the waffle went passed his throat and fell into his stomach that he notice his odd behaviour.
'What just happened?' Thought Theodore
"Do you love us, dad?" Asked Rose
Theodore didn't hesitate as he answered while poking Rose and Chloe's head with his finger "I love you two, more than the world"
Chloe and Rose give a cute giggle before asking with a serious yet sad tone "Are you lonely?"
Theodore managed to control himself as he replied while shaking his head slowly "No, I have my two trouble makers to keep me company"
The girls don't reply as they look down at the table sadly.
Chloe and Rose could feel that their dad's sincerity with every word but his eyes held a slight glint of longing.
Despite there age, they are pretty smart including even Rose who at most times play's the fool or rebel.
It helps that they have a full four years of being with their dad every single day which has made them more sensitive to him.
Before they had the selfish ideal to have more mums just for the sake of it, but now they want dad to be loved and be even happier.
Chloe asked the important question "Do you want a girlfriend?"
This time around Theodore once again lost control as he gave an honest reply "Yes"
"You always protect us and are always nice" Said Rose with pure eyes
"Playing with us and teaching us," Said, Chloe
"We're always happy but we want dad to be happy too," Said Chloe and Rose with a stern voice and a strong resolve in their pure eyes.
Theodore was at a loss. It felt weird to be the receiving end of the lecture but he also knew that the girls were worried.
He gave a smile and said "We'll see how things go, but are you two ready for me to bring someone into our family"
"Yes!" Said The girls one hard nod of confirmation.
Just when Theodore thing were settled the girls dropped another bomb on him.
"But it's more than one" Said, Chloe excitedly
"Cough, sorry what!?" Asked Theodore with wide eyes
"Daddy is so great that one is not enough!" Said Rose with a triumphant shout.
"Calm down explain" Said Theodore thinking he might have misunderstood.
"Your gonna be happy with one girlfriend but you will be super duper happy with lots. Then you have big, big wedding" Said Rose with her arms wide open signifying how big.
"Then lots of baby brothers and sisters to play with," Said Chloe happily
Theodore was both happy and confused. He's truly happy knowing the girls are concerned for his well being even if it's taken an odd turn at the end.
He's a simple man and just like other men he has dreamed of being surrounded by beautiful women and loved by them but it's a fantasy that he finds himself hard to achieve.
Theodore has read many novels and seen many shows that try to tackle Harem or at least incorporate it into the story but there always one thing that is never answered and that's time.
Theodore thought hard 'Where and when does the protagonist have the time to spend quality time with said harem members? How do you make things equal when your only one person? How do you share those special moments with equally?'
The girls had already left the table to watch Timothy Goes To School which had helped change Rose opinion on school.
Theodore was still at the table before coming answer and said "Even if I have the answer, who would share and I don't want to force it onto other. Sigh, I'll just leave it to chance"
"Well it wouldn't hurt to be prepared in case it does happen. Daisy, prep bio lab and do a check on all the Mutant blood we have" Said Theodore as he got off the table and picked up the plates and cups.
While washing the dishes he commented in a quiet voice, "Why was I so honest?"
He was completely confused about why he truthfully answered the girls. Before he would just joke about so that they would drop it but this time it was different.
As he thought back to the weird phenomenon the world around him went quite with the rushing water that came from the tap just stopped flowing, the sound of the TV was gone.
Looking around he saw that time and space had come to a stop.
The fear of the unknown began to fester in his calm heart.
He ran to the living room and was relieved to see the kids were fine.
Just when he relaxed a bit he heard a young voice "No need to worry Mr Hunt I only came to explain that weird scenario you just experienced"
Turning around he saw a young teen in a hoodie and jeans with headphones around his neck and asked: "Who are you?"
"Hi, I'm the young God that accidentally put you in that pit with your daughters that led to you coming to this world. You can call me Zane" Said, Zane
"I thought you were a baby," Said Theodore remember what the old god had told him.
"At the time I was. Us Gods age faster. So I should explain that something has changed" Said Zane
"Like me telling the girls that I want a girlfriend," Said Theodore as he lent against his countertop
"Yes, much like how dad gave you three wishes as an apology I also wanted to do the same. So I asked the girls for two wishes that would be shared between them" Said, Zane
Theodore suddenly felt scared as he knew how unpredictable a certain someone was "Please, tell me Rose discussed it with Chloe before making a wish"
"Haha no they actually had thier wishes prepared" Said Zane while chuckling
"Prepared?" Asked Theodore in a confused voice
"Well, as you know they are very close so they share all their secrets and dreams. So. . . . " Said, Zane
"So they know exactly what to ask for. Okay, give it to me don't hold back" Said Theodore as he prepared himself for the wishes that will most likely change his life.
"Well, you asked for it. Wish one dad will be super cool, wish two dad tells truths" Said Zane as he listed.
"Oh God it's horribly vague," Said Theodore in fear
"Don't worry, I modified and specified their wishes to be less of an inconvenience. The super cool wish is based on movie stereotypes like Slow Motion, Perfect Lighting and Instinctively Cool. I've also decided to add a hero suit that will match your strength, by the way, the suit will come out on its own when you decide to do something heroic though you will be able to put on and off when not being a hero" Said, Zane
"Hero, but I'm a dad! How is that less of an inconvenience?" Asked Theodore
Zane ignored his complaint and continued on "Then the second wish was a little difficult as you are parent and lying is sometimes needed to keep them innocent. So I specified it to just be about your love life this will not include the intercourse part of love. You will give an honest reply 3 times randomly every day when it comes to your love life"
"That's manageable but explain the cool stuff," Said Theodore while rubbing his head with his hand.
"Slow motion is just that moment in movies where they slow everything down so that it either adds more tension or it adds more charm to the scenario/Protagonist. Perfect lighting is where the light itself will make its life work to cover you in its glory so that you are the centre of attention. Instinctively Cool will make it so that you will do cool things without even trying. The suite will match your strength so that you don't come out naked from fights" Said Zane excitedly
*Slap* Theodore had his hand on the bridge of his nose covering most of the face after doing a facepalm.
He looked at Zane and rightfully asked: "How old are you?"
"I'm 15 Mr Hunt, why?" Said, Zane
"Sigh no it's fine so how's your dad, what was his name I don't think I got it," Said Theodore tiredly
"Its Elijah and we're the Thompson's. He's fine and mum is pregnant again" Said Zane
"Thompson's not very godlike but whatever. Send my regards to your parents. You don't need to feel guilty about sending us we are enjoying it" Said Theodore as he gave a sincere
"Really?" Said, Zane in a questioning tone
"Yeah, now get back to your parents they must be worried about you travelling to a different world," Said Theodore
"Okay, Bye," Said Zane as he disappeared.
The world around him began to move once again with the sounds of the water running and the kids singing "~When timothy goes to school~"
On the counter was a white box that had a tall bottle of red wine with a note on it saying "Hello Theodore thanks for not blaming Zane its been eating him up since he found out what he did. This is one of my favourite bottles. From the old man aka Elijah"
