14 Chapter 14

✦Made some small changes to the overall system interface... I made some changes to the grades of items as they were all over the place. Some grades are now replaced with power levels while some are removed. Please check Auxilary Volume for the power levels.✦

<29th floor of the True Labyrinth Level>

Seal was walking around on the floor, killing a few Tar Shark. Tar Shark could hide their presence well that even Seal had some problems detecting them. Also, along with their special magic «Hide Presence», it would take Seal a couple of seconds to detect them rather than instantly.

He lifted a bit of the restriction so that his level would be 15 because the floors were getting a lot harder each time he finishes one floor.

Three days have passed since Seal separated from Hajime. He was happy, very happy because he had been able to max out most of his skills by using his conversion ability these past days.

"Status." Seal said out loud.

'I'm close to level 100.' Seal thought as he skims over his status.

His fire magic reached the max level not long ago when he was fighting against hordes of Tar Shark. Seal had not explored the newly unlocked types of fire magic, but he plans on doing it later on.

The status panel now looks cleaner because Seal had reorganized every section, making it less confusing. Another thing he noticed was that there seems to be a percentage number next to his race now. That surprised him but at the same time made him confused. To clear his confusion, he had to ask the system.

'System, why do I have a percentage number near my race?'

『The percentage number shows how far the host's race has changed. When it reaches 100%, the host will no longer be the race human but something better and stronger. It is recommended the host continue trying to raise the percentage.』

'Do you have any advice for me so that I can raise it quicker?'

『Just keep on doing what you are doing, host.』

'I see.' Seal frowned towards the system's vague answer. Keep on doing what? Clearing the labyrinth's floors?

Although dissatisfied with the system's answer, Seal did not ask any more questions as he knew it would get him nowhere.

Closing the status panel, Seal went to the stairway that led to the next floor.

...

<49th floor of the True Labyrinth Level>

A figure could be seen resting on a rock, not very far away from the entrance to the 50th floor. This was none other than Seal.

He had cleared the past few floors in under a few hours because he had lifted some of his restrictions, letting him have the ability to run through the floors and kill all the monsters.

Seal was sitting down and checking what he gained so far from his time in the labyrinth. He had around 438,702 system points from selling all the monster drops, though he still had some more monster drops to sell from the previous floors.

All of that aside, he could now spend system points on the shop freely just like he wanted from the beginning. Then Seal decided to go buy some things in the system's shop.

'Shop Open.' Seal said in his mind.

〘Shop〙

> Weapons

> Armors & Clothing

> Magic Skills

> Bloodlines

> Titles

> Others

Seal goal right now was to strengthen himself and get rid of his combat weaknesses. And to do that, he needs to go over his skills and what he is currently capable of in combat.

He has many close combat skills that he could utilize, so he ignored those skills.

Next would be long-range attacks as he only has 1 offensive magic currently. Although fire magic is a very strong offensive, it could still be countered using water magic. And he did not have any magic that could be used to defend himself. So he decided to go to explore the magic section of the shop.

'...I think I will get all of them except for fire and curse.' He immediately bought all of them as they only cost 5,000 each.

He has plenty of system points, so he might as well just spend it on magics he might need in the future.

『Successful purchase! Now deducting 40,000 system points from the host's balance.』

Seal closed the system shop and went down to the next floor.

As soon as he stepped foot into the 50th floor, he was greeted by a big space. In front of him was a massive door guarded by 2 cyclops-like statues.

He knew what the door led to and how the 2 statues would come alive. But before that, he needed to clean up some nuisances that just spawned.

This is a good time to this out one of my new fire spells, Seal thought. He stretches his hand out towards the monsters while casting the level 7 fire spell [Incinerate] at the same time. A large and deep orange flame ray shot out of his hand. The flames were so intense that they burned everything to ashes including the group of monsters.

*BOOM!*

Finally, it hits the dungeon wall, creating a loud explosion that left behind a deep and massive hole in the dungeon's side.

'As expected from a level 7 fire spell.' Seal thought with approval.

'Although I want to use the level 8 fire spell, the dungeon's space here is too tight.'

The massive double door was guarded by 2 statues that looked like cyclops with their eye closed. In the middle of the door was a lock that required 2 round balls to fit into it.

Seal looked at the two statues or rather keys and gave a knowing look. With his knowledge, he needs to attack the door to awaken the 2 statues from their petrified state.

*BANG!*

He threw a big fireball towards the door, hitting it and creating a loud sound. Then the 2 statues started trembling and breaking apart. The remaining stones from their petrified state were falling to the ground.

The two cyclops opened their eye and looked at Seal; the red-eyed cyclop had offensive skills while the blue-eyed cyclop had defensive skills.

Within seconds, the cyclops began to move and arrived in front of Seal. They looked really angry!

The red-eyed cyclop slammed its fists down at Seal. But Seal did not give it any chance as he unleashed [Incinerate] towards it. The ray of deep orange flame flew at high speed,

Before it could hit the red-eyed cyclop, something jumped into its way. Seal could not see what it was as the fire spell exploded and created a lot of smoke and dust.

"*Cough* *Cough*" Seal accidentally inhaled some of the dust particles and started coughing.

Very soon, the smoke began to disappear and what Seal saw was not surprising at all. The 2 cyclops upper half of their body was blown off completely.

When the spell [Incinerate] was about to hit the red-eyed cyclop, the blue-eyed cyclop moved in front of it and tried to use its best defensive skill to defend it. But alas, it had met Seal as its opponent. His fire spell [Incinerate] had a tremendous force behind it, and only a few high-ranked defensive spells could defend against it.

Seal grabbed the 2 keys from inside of the dead cyclops and inserted them into the lock. Immediately after, the door started glowing brightly.

*CRANK* CLANK*

A series of cranking and clanking sounds sounded as the massive door open. Behind the door was a floating cube that shackled a person. It was a small girl.

"...Who's there?" The girl woke up and asked Seal who was standing at the door.

"Before I answer your question, do you want to escape from your shackles?" Seal asked.

"Yes... Please help me." the girl spoke in a hoarse voice.

Seal walked up to the cube and injected a lot of magic power into it. This caused the cube to overload and crumble.

"...How did you break it so easily?" The now free girl was shocked as she knew how hard it was to break the sealing cube. But this boy here destroyed it with no effort at all!

"I have an extremely high magic power capacity you see... So I injected a lot of it inside the cube to overload it."

"Mm, okay."

"Anyways, my name is Seal Azathoth. You can call me Seal."

"Seal, Seal, Seal," The girl repeatedly said his name multiple times as if she was trying her best not to forget it.

"What's your name?" Seal asked.

"...Give me one."

"Huh? Do you not have one?"

"No... It's because I don't want my old name anymore. So give me a name."

"Okay, let see... How about "Yue"? Where I come from, it means the moon."

"Yue... Mhm! I like it." Yue said.

"...Hoh? I didn't think it would wake up this early." Seal said while looking up at the ceiling, more specifically, the crab-like monster that was many times bigger than a normal crab. It let out an ominous aura that gave people fear just by being affected by it.
