6 THE REVEAL

Samantha woke in the same bed she did this morning. It was a luxurious bed she knew that for a fact in comparison to the bed she had. She glanced to her bedside to find Jacob seated looking her dead in the eye.

"Your awake that's good " he said " How's your arm"

She looked at her arm it was bandaged so she undid the bandaged slowly remembering that her arm had nearly been bitten off. When she was done taking off the bandaged she just was shocked. Her arm was perfectly fine save for a few black lines but it was perfectly healed.

She jumped out of the bed and ran to the other side of the room.

"Leave me alone " she said frightened. Jacob wasn't sure why she was acting this way so he stood up and decided to approach her. This only succeeded in making her try to get away from him even more. She was crying now and Jacob didn't know.

"Stay away from "she said between sobs" look at what's happened to me because of "

"Samantha listen I can explain" he said.

" Explain what Jacob what is that you can explain. You dragged me out into the night chased after an invisible creature that later became visible and took a chunk of my arm. Then I wake up in this mysterious house and stare into the faces of people who have fire for eyes. What in the world is happening Jacob or is that even your name"

" I understand that you are frightened but try to understand I did not wish any of this upon you. For starters Yes my name is Jacob and the creature that chased us the other night was a demon" he paused to let her digest what he had just said.

" A demon ? " She asked.

"Yes a demon " he repeated " It was after me. It apparently was near the area of my fall and knew that I was weak so it sought me out to devour me"

" Why would it want to devour you and what do you your fall, fall from where? " She asked

He sighed and walked back to his chair.

" I am an angel Samantha, a fallen one at that. An angel is weak at the moment of it's fall though this only lasts a few days they never regain the full power they once had. When a demon devours an angel it absorbs it's essence and power making it stronger"

In her mind she was like this was a lie Angels and demons don't exist but her memory of what happened told her otherwise. She had been thrown about multiple times by something invisible which later became visible and then nearly bit her arm off. She just couldn't believe though. It went against everything she believed in. These were just fairytales to her, but fairytale or not she had witnessed it.

"What of the others?" She asked " The ones with flaming eyes"

" Ohh those guys, you need not fear them. They are called Jinn"

" And what the heck is a Jinn"

" A Jinn is what those guys are. They're like people there are good Jinns and bad Jinns just like you guys"

" And what do you mean just like you guys. You're a fallen angel so you're practically a bad guy meaning they're good Angels and bad ones too just as anyone else"

" Fair enough" he said " you have a pint there"

" So why..? " She asked.

" Sorry? "

" Why were you cast out, what horrible crime did you do? " She said as she approached the bed to sit.

" To be honest I don't know. I don't remember why I was cast out nor do I recall what I did which is a funny thing to be honest because angels never forget a thing"

The door then opened and An-Nar was standing in the doorway.

" Well nice to see that your up and we'll" he said. He was wearing his glasses probably because he knew she wouldn't be too keen seeing a man walking around with fire in his eye sockets.

"So " he said taking a sit by the window " What were we talking about "

"I was just explaining to her the mysteries of the world "Jacob said.

" Well seems like she's taking things pretty well, she must be a believer huh. What religion are you miss"

" She's doesn't believe in God" Jacob said " and definitely not the one we believe in"

" Well, that's unfortunate " he said " You should definitely start doing so less you wanna end up in Hell , and trust me miss you do not wanna go there. Heck I was made from fire and look at me I don't wanna go there"

It dawned on her that if she had died she was going to go to Hell and all her life she believed it was nothing more than an act for the church to receive people into coming to their services and conning them of their money.

She nodded her head slowly in response.

"I am An-Nar and what is your name miss?" he asked.

"Samantha "

"Well Samantha what religion do you prefer"

" I'm sorry" she said not understanding the question.

"What he means" said Jacob " Is that what religion do you want to join"

" Exactly my meaning you need to chose a religion you know. You need to be a believer"

" Well I don't know, I really like Greek mythology you know. What religion are Jinns anyway? "

" Most of us Muslim though there are some that are Christian's."

" I thought you said you guys believed in one God. Aren't Christianity and islam two different religions." she asked.

" We worship the same God" Jacob said as he got up ." I think that's enough for now. You need to digest what this means"

"I have a question" she said " why was I able to see the demon later on?"

"You made physical contact with it multiple times that's why you were able to see it. Now enough of this let's go get you some food". They left the room An-Nar leading the way. He took her to the kitchen were Bahr was.

"This is my wife Bahr, she make something nice for you, I need to discuss something with Jacob " An-Nar said and walked away with Jacob.

" Come here dear, don't be scared I assure you I don't bite" Bahr said motioning for Samantha to come over.

She prepared bacon, eggs , pancakes and surprisingly she finished it all.

"That was delicious thank you "

"Your welcome . Now what do you say we go meet the rest of the family" Bahr said as she got up. Samantha agreed and the exited the kitchen.

"Well my friend you need to make a decision about her"

"I know " Jacob said " But what can I do"

" She could return to her home for a start"

" You know full well that she can't An-Nar. I was cut so the place practically reeks of angel so place will probably be crawling with demons "

" So what are you gonna do apart from the girl I mean. She can stay here if she wants but what about you?"

" I don't know An-Nar. I need to find my way back home. I don't belong here that's for sure "

" Well that's no easy task, I mean I know of no fallen angel that has found their way back to heaven"

" Well that's because they sided with Lucifer when planned on taking over"

" You know full well Jacob that that's not the only reason why angels were kicked out of heaven"

Jacob sighed An-Nar was right no fallen angel had ever found their way back but then again no one has ever tried.
