15 The Banquet.

The sunset and the guests arrived in You family banquet hall one by one. The banquet has not yet officially begun as the star of the night You Xi Wang was missing, She Congming who was looking for an excuse to stir trouble attacked You family, "Is this how You family treats its guest? Is this not an insult for the guest to wait as the host has yet to arrive? I will walk out if I do not see You Xi Wang here in five minutes."

You Naixin, who had just entered the banquet hall heard this clatter and retorted with a sneer, "Who let their pup out, without a leash? If I heard any tom, dick and harry daring to slander my You family, I will have them on a platter by the end of this banquet so, you guys better ask your people to behave properly and I won't be talking next time. She brat, you better aren't spouting nonsense or I will make you beg me for death."

Her words made everyone shiver and remember that among all You family elders, You Naixin was the most unreasonable one, and if anyone goes as far as bad mouth the family in her presence they will all have miserable deaths. She walked to the center of the hall and clapped her hands once when she was done gathering everyone's attention, she said in a formal tone: "Respected guests as you all know that my grandnephew was injured during the battle in the morning, he needed rest, which caused him to be late for the banquet. While he was on his way here, he suddenly thought it would be very good to have the banquet to be arranged outside in the open, under the star ceiling. That is why our family was occupied in making sufficient arrangements befitting your statuses. I would like to apologize, but if you all could follow me, it might be to your liking." after she was done speaking her piece she turned and left without caring whether or not anyone is coming.

The guests followed her and reached their destination and were taken back when they saw a man-made lake in You family garden was decorated with red lanterns and beautifully decorated. The entire garden and lakeside was lit up by the cold-light lamps The tables were covered with a white cloth, red chairs was set next to the tables and a mildly cold breeze blew over everyone making them feel relaxed and calm. It was really a soothing atmosphere. The guests looked pleased with this set up for the banquet.

The guests started talking among themselves, just as they were relaxing a tinkling sound made its way to their ears and they saw a handsome young man wearing a black three-piece tuxedo standing in the centre of the garden, he held a wine glass in his right arm and gracefully tapping it with a table knife in his left hand to gather everyone's attention.

"Hello, ladies and gentleman, my name is You Xi Wang and I would like to thank you all for gathering here tonight to share and celebrate this event of my family, I hope you that in future we all can maintain friendly relations just like it was when my father and mother were alive. Please accept my toast in your respect, I am technically still not an adult so I hope you pardon me for using juice instead of alcohol. Cheers to everyone and please enjoy yourselves."

The last part of the speech made the ambience of the gathering more joy and light as his words caused the guests chuckle and applause. This also improved his impression of being a humble yet straight forward person. Every few minutes someone will propose a toast to him or his sister and they both would take a sip from the juice glasses.

Robert entered the garden leading a beautiful woman who was pushing a wheelchair in which sat an elderly looking lady. This woman was none other than Dr Susan Watson along with her mother, Dr Susan wore a moonlight blue coloured gown with a glittery effect on it, the gown had a slit on its side which exposed her slender fair right leg as she walked, her dark brown hair tied in a neat bun while her neck adorned by a simple silver chain with matching earrings hung from her ears, she looked taller because of the five-inches high heels. Although she was not wearing any of those high-class articles of clothing and jewelry she still made men turn their heads. Her eyes were locked onto only one person, You Xi Wang.

They were both looking at each other and smiling, You Xi Wang took the initiative and went towards her. He hugged her lightly and then helped her push the wheelchair where his family members were standing.

You Zhichi was wearing a white gown perfectly contrasting her brother, her hair was left free as they fell on her back as if a waterfall of the night sky and her eyes sparkled like stars her lips only were painted red which made her fair face look even more beautiful, she wore her mother's necklace and earrings which were both made of red jade. She lived up to her title of the celestial maiden.

Emily was also wearing a champagne color gown, her hair was tied in a bun on the side of her head. Her deep black eyes shone like gemstones, the gown exposed half of her clear dusky back and a slightly deep neck of the design showcased the valley of wonders which tempted a lot of males gathered around.

Chen Qianbei was wearing a traditional Chinese white robe wrapped around her shapely figure making her look like a beautiful traditional painting, her calm and straight forward temperament was projected very well because of the robes, her hair was held up with an elegant phoenix jade hairpin.

You Xi Wang asked Dr Susan after introducing her with the ladies: "Susie, are you not going to introduce me to your mother?"

Dr Susan smiled hesitatingly and said: "She has been in an unresponsive state for a long time, but if you want to, then I will introduce you to her."

You Xi Wang only nodded in affirmation and Dr Susan: "Mum this is You Xi Wang your Son-in-law, Xi Wang this is my mum, Ms Camila Watson."

You Xi Wang gazed into Camila's eyes and was about to say something to her when a system's voice echoed in his mind: [Master, her soul is asleep, I can help you wake her up.] this shocked You Xi Wang as he just kept looking at her, after a few moments he turned to Susan who was confused by his silence and said: "Susie can you stay here tonight, I need to talk to you after this banquet is done" although Susan did not know the reason behind his words she still agreed to his request.

The banquet wen on smoothly when a suave looking guy walked towards You Zhichi and said: "Miss Zhichi, can I have the honor to accompany you for a dance?"
